I think he probably meant that the guys choices got him where he is. Rightly or wrongly but I don't think he meant he actually chose to be on the streets.
That could have been me.I have several mental illnesses which was never diagnosed when ilived in England.I have lived in Canada for nearly 18 years now i have my own house and benefits.The thing that makes me so angry is when I went home for a visit my sisters Dr asked me what my medicine was for so I told her.She told me I was lucky to be diagnosed.
These people are the best people in this horrid world they need so much help and money the root r all evil and they don't want money they just want love god bless themx

I know of several people who are living in government housing on their own paying single rent in two AND THREE bedroom property for decades.its a JOKE!!!

However, children who are adopted soon after birth are as successful in life as those from biological and intact family units. It is ironic that the political ideology claiming most vocally to care about the poor, disadvantaged and marginalised, namely the left-wing, should celebrate the supposed empowerment of single motherhood and subsidise them with Welfare, should promote just about every sexual identity, proclivity and domestic arrangement other than heterosexual marriage and promote no-fault divorce, the Pill, hedonism and the joys of promiscuous free love and drugs. Not to mention that Feminism has relentlessly shat on boys, men and fathers for the last sixty years, injecting man-hating Feminist attitudes towards boys and girls, men and women into government, education, health, the workplace and the media and arts. It is also ironic that the political ideology most demonised by the left-wing for not caring, namely Conservatism, should be the one to promote exactly the values that prevent the tragedy of homelessness: restraint of teenage sexuality, marriage and children. I'm sorry but we do choose to live like this. You get knocked down but you get up eventually. To me it looks as though they gave up on life. I wouldn't put that hurt on my worst enemy. Some folks don't know real depression. Nothing helps. U just exist. At the moment i think I'm stuck in this screwed up cycle. Was a heroin junkie that got clean so it's a step in the right direction. Worked my entire life before covid
