Thats quite a high rating considering the very unpolished unpolishedness of it all. The block-maze-secret was really something... But overall there were some pretty cool ideas and since its ten years old its probably fair to give it some slack. Thank you for the very patient showcase! :)
Thank you for watching and writing down your thoughts in here! Always curious to read what people think about the maps and I agree with you, there absolutely were some issues and if the map would have been made more recently I would have rated it a bit worse but the fact that it's 10 years old kind of blows my mind so I stick with the current rating xd
Player Review: Phew, that was a tough one. At first, some wall textures just wouldn't work for me, no matter what I tried, so there were some 'moon corridors' here and there. Naturally, a bit of a vibe killer. But not relevant to my rating, as it obviously worked for others. Overall, playing the map was fun, and I really liked the variety and mechanics used. The general design was also lovingly crafted in most areas. All of that would be a 9/10. But the big "but" is the polishing. Lots of movers can be blocked by all sorts of things, like a snail that just happens to be underneath. As a casual player, I couldn’t predict that a year after I saw the map once on stream. Some savebooks were placed a bit earlier than would have been useful, etc. Even though I managed to catch some good secrets, there were a lot of harder ones, and I ended up with only about half. Ok, that’s fair, but what bothered me were those moments where you think, ‘I'll surely find out soon how to get behind that,’ and then you never do. Either due to a lack of cutscenes where you'd realize that something had triggered, or because even in debug mode later, you hardly figure out how it all connects. This little bit of ‘too much’ in the secrets and the lack of polishing brings the map down from top tier to average second tier. Despite this very creative and not simple work, I can’t give more than a 7.5 after playing it. P.S. I think I know the reason for the texture problem now, since I didn't play his maps in order, he seemed to put some extra textures not in the later folder from this map. 😅
Such a great movie, I should watch that again. And looking at that segment you are probably right, that certainly seems to be inspired from it (even though similar things gor used in many movies probably but still)
Aww thank you so much for saying that, I am super happy time to time and I hope it will continue like that in the future. Thank you so much for watching and měj hezký den 🇨🇿
ruclips.net/video/ZxvFZWQqe4s/видео.html This might help you. But warning right here: The editors available for HP2 are not the most user friendly. And making good maps is not done in a few days.
I can only agree with everything Araca said in that reply. Additionally this is the link to the Harry Potter Modding Discord where there are a bunch of experts on the topic of building custom maps that can help you if you get stuck: discord.gg/9Xke4Ygm6E I really hope that you can get into building custom maps, just send them my way whenever you have any done, I will love checking them out!
Yeah I can see that, a lot of very narrow corridors and getting stuck in places with spiders. Also not too many open ceilings and outside sections, that is definitely something they could have improved on a bit...
Love the intro music, can already tell its gonna be good
I was pretty happy when I found this track in the YT Music Library, I think I will use it more often in the future, it's such an epic bop :D
Oh I remember, that map was really nice and entertaining as a run to watch 😊
I'm very glad to hear that it was, it's a pretty cool map! Thank you for watching!

13:12 Was clearly inspired by Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade!

@@Nixxo The boulder in the base game was also clearly inspired by Indiana Jones as well! 😉
Ohh yeah, probably the most obvious one haha
7:33 iconic calmness
Just waiting while the spider has it's fun with Harry until it gets bored of playing "Harry Ball" 😂
11:59 Machine Gun Beans
Those certainly have quite some speed 😂

This into bop I don't recognize, is it also YT Music Library?
It is from the YT Music Library, it's called "Gully Dreams" by Hanu Dixit. The Library never disappoints, sooo many bangers in there...
how do you create custom maps? I'd like to make one and send it to you!

I love eating beans.
I didn't know that you are actually Ron Weasley :o
oof, not a fan of how claustrophobic this map is

13:15 that’s what you get for making fun of the floor.
Yeah I guess I fully deserved that xd
