- Perfect timing for the beginning of spring! One of my Lime Trees began to flower and release a natural, fruitful aromatic sent that I hadn't smelled in
what seemed like a while. This got me thinking that if I could instill this love and desire to have a great workhorse of a tree, the Key Lime tree in others! It truly is one of my favorite citrus trees out there. True, in the modern day we no longer have a huge need for its ability to fight off some long since forgotten disease like scurvy. However this tree's natural ability to fix some of our complicated relationships with other diseases and stress is one of the selling points that sold me on this special tree! Be sure to watch the entire video to see what I'm talking about. Plant Prudently!

I just bought 2 key limes bc I couldn't resist! I'm so tired of wasting Persian limes bc I can't use a whole one in time 😂
Just got my first key lime tree today plantea it in the ground love the video !!
I bought a Persian lime tree last spring and kept it inside all winter but in the sun. Today, it was 73 degrees so I put it outside. In the evening, I noticed a FLOWER! I thought I'd have to wait a year for this but the plant must've been older than I thought when I bought it. I'm excited now. I will pot it up in the spring. Thanks for your info!
Got a Key Lime tee today, as a gift! Thanks for the tips!😉
I've got my first lime trees this year. I'm sure I'll be referring to this video repeatedly. Thank you!
Thank you for the video! Keep posting please! I am an amateur gardener.
Thanks for your video. How do you know when to pick the fruit?
I have a key lime tree that I started from seed, 2 1/4 years ago. It looks very healthy, but I have yet to see a flower.
Hi Justin and my name's Al bought a thornless with key lime tree. It's very small, it's probably couple years old, and I'm just wondering from the bottom of the trunk from the soil. How far up to you cut branches off? I've cut it up to where I think the might be the line where they grafted it. But I'm not sure I just wanted a few. If how far up the trunk you wanna, you know, cut the branches off? I think a lot of Them were suckers I cut off at the bottom.
I grew one from a seed from a lime, but it has never flowered. It's in a pot as winter is too cold where I live. I wonder if the ones sold in stores are grafted and does that make it easier to flower?
Great info! Thanks. I was just gifted one :)
Nice gift. Thanks for watching, and plant prudently! Let me know if you have any questions about it!!
I have a thornless key lime. I read it needs another tree to cross pollinate to get fruit. It gets lots of flowers, but no fruit cause it needs a friend.
is this the same keylime tree you rescued 3 years ago?
I bought a lime plant at garden centre and moved it to a pot one size bigger than original. There’s new growth but old leaves are falling. Is this normal?
There's so many reasons this could be happening. Way more info is needed
The problem is solved; I may have overwatered it. Allowing the soil to dry out was the initial solution, but moving it outdoors was a remarkable improvement. When fall arrives and I bring it back indoor gradually, I may have to expect the leaves to fall off again?
@m.a.p.g. I'm not sure what you got going on inside, but I'd imagine so, yes. I see you live in Canada so I'm sure it'll get fairly cold and you aren't running heat all the time, and it'll get less light, so yea expect it to drop leaves. It'll go dormant and require less water, less light, but it'll be fine when it warms up again. I'm in Arizona so much different issues here
@@magnumxlpi Thank you, I’m in the only desert like area of Canada, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia., also Canada’s Napa Valley. It’s not as cold as you imagine but a lot cooler than Arizona for sure.
Love Arizona!
Why my tree is low and bushy..got it from Lowes
Have you tried a finger lime tree?
