Honestly a great AU idea! Instead of beating up Leo before he gets saved, the Kraang takes control/possession of his body so when he eventually escapes the Prison Dimension again (which he believes to be inevitable), he can infiltrate society under a disguise. It would just so happen Mikey brings him back again so soon after Leo's sacrifice through his portal in an attempt to save his brother when he needs them most. So while the family rejoices over their victory and the fact they're all still standing together after thinking they've avoided an apocalyptic future, they are unbeknownst to the fact that very enemy is still lurking among them pretending to be a member of the beloved Hamato family. (If it were a fanfic, I believe it would switch between different people's perspectives, mainly the Kraang + Leo as the latter tries to fight back to gain control of his body again to no avail, but maybe bits of Donnie, Raph, Mikey and Casey amongst it. And overtime ofc, one by one, they'd start to realise something was up with Leo and that his behaviour isn't adding up, especially with training more and late nights out and seeming fine in the morning despite spending hours doing business he refuses to talk about at all to them. More of the family would realise this, maybe starting with Donnie or Raph only for them to begin trying to figure out what's going on together before worrying the rest of the family until everyone is suspicious, especially when cracks start to show in the Kraang's façade like unusual bursts of anger at people that are so weird for someone as laidback as Leo normally is). Quite the darker turn with the four brothers dying together at the hands of one of them being puppeteered by an enemy they thought they’d gotten rid of for good
