Yes arguably the greatest live solo ever captured (full length) great assessment. Many argue 73’is pages peak. Pretty much every solo is fantastic, erratic greatness from Page. Different every night
Well, that almost melted my Bose Headphones. The last 2 epic tracks have arguably their best versions here and from the same concert, amazing. There are some other great live versions of both of these in their 70s heyday to see on You Tube. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Thanx for this reaction!!! What a great band indeed. Overwhelmed as a 15 year old when I first saw this movie. Never before had I seen a guitarist that was so ferocious in his abilities. Certainly a notable difference in what they sounded like on record versus their live performances. Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band!!! 😼 You Guys are the Best ❤
SIBLY is still the greatest bleus track for me and this was magnificent. I saw Zep earlier in 1973 and they peaked at MSG. I saw the movie 3 times on the day of its release, I just stayed in the cinema all the afternoon and evening.
As I remember it. When it was filmed they had technical problems with some of the footage. They had to substitute it with something and they came up with those dream parts. Also they recreated some of the live visuals in a movie studio to fill in as well. That's why in some live shots you can clearly see that Jonesy is wearing a wig.
"It's just that angle," yeah--AND that crotch! LOL! Yeah, the classic Rock Stud, Robert Plant! He knew what he had and flaunted it in a sort of mocking way, but never at the expense of taking away from the rest of the band. He was first and foremost an artist, like the rest of this amazing group, not an egomaniac or wannabe "Star." They knew they were the shit and didnt have to try to be. Once in a lifetime band, man!
Jones video was about the two lives of John Paul Jones....family man at home, executioner at night....the secret weapon to Led Zeppelin, just as dark and dangerous as the others ...but just a normal dad and husband at home.
It is his best jacket. Whoever designed it I will employ to make my jacket when I become, finally at 50 years of age, the guitarist I was meant to be! The King in the North! 14:40 btw I believe that's Maureen, Roberts wife at the time. Yea they did cut some, I'm sure I remember Percy singing at some point "we ask no quarter", which is kind of a dynamic in the meaning of the song.
What I heard was the film crew missed all the parts and they put in their fantasy parts. That was during film times they probably had reload film in missing parts
That little skimpy shirt he, Plant, has on is from a Groupie from the night before....Seriously...Notice how small it is...He did it all the time. Look at other live stuff...LOL !!

I was there all shows
What an absolute treat!! Everybody knows Roberts trouser snake was the 5th "member" of the band during this concert 😂❤
The perfect Plant angle...haha...literally the crotch shot invented for Plant 🤣

Zepellin is the greatest rock and roll band of all time. John Paul Jonrs was so good live. They all have fantastic musicianship.🎸🎼😎
They played No Quarter so well live.
Thankfully, I bought the vinyl back in '76. 🙂
Great picks - and Ms. Busy's humor is the icing on the cake!

Dammit. No time for this tonight. The Bot needs to leave me alone but thank you to the team of presenters.

They are fantastic!
Excellent choice for the 1976 soundtrack for No Quarter....a song that was very good in the studio, but transcendent, live.

It just doesn't get much better than this live.
The best song.. imo.. is Song Remains the Same live.. Jimi's guitar work is absolutely amazing.
Where can you even start with No quarter it's immense in every way!
It's true, this is one of Page's best solos!
Always appreciate Sonny Bono's (with a goatee) commentary.....

main riff for No Quarter is one of the coolest riffs there is

Oh interesting, I thought I saw a resemblance, but I just assumed she wouldn't be in the audience.
What happens when creative musicians are allowed to express themselves without restrictions.

I can't believe this was 50 years ago.
I remember the reviews at the time saying it was an average concert at best. Thank god thaey made thi film, each song unbeleivable.
Honestly No Quarter live is so good its actually annoying because it sucks that everything cant be that incredible
Jimmy Page is so unbelievable, my goodness.
Peter Grant would make Robert stuff his jeans' crotch for shows to add more magnetism.
haha is that true?

Yeah he smoked.. im sure if todays Robert could time travel he would slap his 20 year old self and say take a better care of his voice.
