My favourite of all Beethoven chamber music pieces. I was not familiar with this video; I thoroughly enjoyed it, in particular Rostropovich’s wonderfully expressive playing. I’ve often thought that this masterpiece should have concluded with the 3rd movement - the concluding 4th seems superfluous.
Kempff was around 76 when this was recorded. When he was born (1895), Brahms was still alive.

Скрипка Менухина мне кажется слишком сладкой. Ойстрах был бы в этом трио более желанным. Но это лично для меня.
