On Chris Rupp's page, he has uploaded a history of Home Free (part 1 so far) from the early days and they tell a story of an insane night trying to get home from a gig. Listening to your story, I'm beginning to think y'all are kindred spirits, hahaha!
That was 2 crazy stories that both you & Tim had. I think this should be called Story Time with Tim & SauceyDad. I was thinking the exact same thing as Kelly Collins mentioned. On Chris Rupp's channel, there is a part 1 of Home Free's early days that I watched yesterday & there is also a separate video of the footage from the worst day they had in 2008 where everything went wrong with their van & trailer. I think you would enjoy watching that.
As a devout Home Fry AND a reaction addict I've seen many a reactor welcomed into the Home Free rabbit hole but as far as I can tell NO one has burrowed down as far and fast as you have. I just checked, your first HF reaction was only 15 days ago and including this one, you've reacted to 22 HF vids already. TWENTY TWO! IN FIFTEEN DAYS!! Ahem...okay...so that's nine official videos, twelve live fan phone vids, and the Sing Off compilation. In barely more than two weeks. Dayum. And these ain't toss-offs either, you go deep every damn time. If you keep up this pace...at this level...well...I have my concerns but still, I hope you do and I intend to be here for every one of em. Oh but there's one more thing. Not only are you the only reactor I know of who was inspired to make Story Time with Tim a daily feature, a genius move, you might have just launched a Story Time with Saucey series as well. Maybe a Saturday night Special er sumpm eh? Or Sunday. Or monthly. Whatever, just think about it. And finally, while writing this I kept thinking of Mr. Foust as "Timself". Feel free to steal that if you'd like. I won't tell.
Saucey Dad, you must check out Tim's video of Southerner in the snow, also he has a couple of videos discovering different foods. There are also many videos of Home Free behind the scenes _ titled From the vault. I don't know if you are ready for Austin's solo channel. If you are interested, check out Unchained Melody, Off the Grid, Earn It and more. You certainly love how hilarious they can get _ check out Down to the honky-tonk, Moonshine, Sunday Best, Folsom Prison Blues, Shakira and all about the Bass. For more creativity in how Jimmy Bates has taken his skills in arranging the Home Free videos see Meet in the Middle.....Down the rabbit hole you go!!!!!!!
Glad that you did indeed finally make it home. Similar story told by Chris, Adam, and Matt in the recently released History of Home Free part 1, (on Chris Rupps channel). Terrifying to live through, but you at least can look back and laugh about how bad it was. Bad nights/weekends happen even on freeways sometimes. My family and I were moving and my dads truck literally blew an engine, the bolts holding the engine onto the truck snapped off on the freeway. It was towed (along with the trailer it was pulling) to a repair shop, we had to unhook the trailer from the truck, and hook it to our car. (Why they thought this was a good idea, idk). So now the car is towing this heavy trailer with literally all our furniture and everyone except myself, my uncle, my 5 year old nephew and our dog (big black Labrador retriever) are following us. The car was struggling bad and the dog starts whimpering, I lean down to talk to him and see flames coming out of the hood. I scream, my uncle pulls over, (not in a city btw), I jump out with the dog in one hand, the 5 yr old in the other running into the dirt on the side of the road. The engine is now in flames, my uncle is throwing dirt on it. Didn’t lose the trailer, but the truck and the car were both gone. Called another uncle who was able to get the trailer to our new house, then flipped his truck and lost his pinkie finger in the accident. Whew! Terrifying to live through, glad it’s in the past.
This was an awesome night. It was a great way to begin my retirement. Tim and his friends had the Mulehouse shaking. Laughing, crying. Looking forward to 2022.
Oh my goodness! That was awesome 👌 👏 yes you must check out Southerner in the snow ❄ Tim had my sides hurting sooo bad with this. Thank you for sharing! I truly enjoyed every moment 🤗❣❣❣❣
Wow! Quite the story, SauceyDad! As you were telling your story, all I could think of was "this sounds like a Maine version of 'Deliverance'". Very glad it turned out with a happy ending for you and SauceyMom... and bless her for staying with you after that!!! :D Tim's adventures in South America were hilarious, too!
The tire passing you...that happened to my husband. Such a strange feeling to see a tire bounce past and suddenly realize that it's YOUR tire! Loved your story! Story time with Tim, Dayton Ohio....funniest story time. Oh and check out them doing the skit "Songs That Didn't Make The Cut" It's from a patreon party they had when Chris left the group. Hilarious!!!
Cool story, glad it all worked out. A similar story happened to us on our way up the Al-Can Hwy. RCMP ignored our roadside parking in the same spot for three days. We had to flag down a motorhome that could take us back 80 miles to get a tow truck that could handle a "66 Pontiac Bonneville and a camping trailer.
I've never watched Story Time with Tim until you. I really enjoy this! I first watch the original video because it's bigger viewing. Then I watch your reaction to enjoy your commentary... I listened to your story all the way to the end. Reminds me of the time HF was done at a school and their car froze due to the winter weather. Just one problem after another...
Tim's told his music journey in a couple of podcasts and interviews, and they are great fun to listen to, as you'd expect, but his starting point was dropping out of college, where he was studying to be a dentist, of all things, to join his first professional acapella group, back 2000-01. So, yes, he's been on the road for the best part of 20 years.
Good stories. Reminds me of some travels of my own, when you look down the cliff at the tops of old growth forest, you can't help but get the willies. Those logging roads are spooky as heck, one lane and if a truck comes you have to back up until you find a stretch of wider road.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you sooo much for sharing your story❣️ You’re a great reactor, but your story was EPIC!! I can soo relate!! Young people and the things we do(did) without giving it a second thought 🤣🤣 I have my own story like that, but I don’t want to share it here 😂 Love you and your sense of humor sooo much!! You make me laugh every day❣️❣️
Great story! I live in the country so I get how people can be. I don't know what's in all our sheds but I know there are tires from at least 2 kinds of trucks and that we only had one car in the yard this summer with weeds growing out of the engine. LOL Now I have a question and I mean it in the nicest possible way. Did you ever wind up on North Woods Law when they filmed there? I love that show.
I have taken many cruises. Tim is 100% correct that the ship has to leave at a certain time. Most of the time it is because another ship is to have that spot at a certain time. Those of us, that arrived back at the correct time, will go on deck and laugh at the idiots (most of the time with their drink glasses in their hands) try to yell for the ship to stop (Yeah right), jump into the water and swim to the ship (ship is still not stopping) or scream at the harbormaster to do something (who walks away from them with the entrance securely locked). Also funny to watch passengers get taken off the ship for purchasing illegal drugs. Happens on every cruise.
Thanks for reacting to Tim's story. It is so funny, for sure the part about Texas. That is where I am from and I have had people make remarks about my accent. I have actually just said "Hi" and been told "you are from Texas!". They were from Wisconsin. It just made me draw out a deeper accent for the heck of it. I just guess if someone is going to make fun of me, I give them a really good reason. Really loved your story also, very funny. Thanks again.
WI Loves accents! Glad you drew it out, probably they weren't makin' fun of you we just like something other than FIB's or Yoopers we tend to be excitable that way
If you plan on doing more Story Time with Tim I would recommend watching the music video for 'What we ain't got' . There is a story time relating to that song: ruclips.net/video/ov6PaRql-E0/видео.html and then watch the clip of the night before to see it all going wrong: ruclips.net/video/N_T7ILpx8Tc/видео.html It's so funny and Rob is just laughing constantly
Here's one you'll probably enjoy. Home Free story time with Tim Dayton, Ohio 10-1-15 (watch the video posted by Katherine Riley. You can see all 5 of the guys on stage) THEN watch WWAG Columbus ( the video posted by Genevra Lazzaretti). I believe the second video will explain Tim's story. I could be wrong, but you'll need to watch story time, first.
I'm bettin' in Chile a 1980's truck it could have been 3 on the tree which is a son of a b*tch when it's worn and old... that had to suck learning on Poor Tim.
Ok….so, first, let me say…your short story is FAR from short!!!! But, nevertheless, entertaining. I think this is the second or third of your videos I’ve watched. And I would probably watch more of them if it weren’t for one thing. You don’t seem to cuss much but you do say a few words and there’s no reason why you couldn’t say everything you need to say without using cuss words. The second thing is, and I was right there with you about two years ago, I had no idea that saying ‘Oh my G_d’ or using the initials ‘O_G’ was taking the Lords name in vain. Needless to say, when I discovered this, it was very upsetting. And, as you might expect…those words swiftly left my vocabulary. And I noticed you do say ‘Oh my G_d or just G_d quite a bit. Were you aware of that? Would it be asking too much to remove those words and any other cuss word from your vocabulary? I think you said you do have kids and that’s probably not something good for them to hear either. I’m not a Karen…just a good Christian woman making a simple request. What do you do about it, if anything, is entirely up to you….other than that… Keep up the good work😊

Yes more stort time for Sauceydad!!!
More SD time would be good
Now you've got an awesome story to tell your grandkids!! 😉 Loved both stories, yours and Tim's!! 😂

Thanks for this. Just got back to the video after a half hour detour to Chris's channel. :-D
This was an awesome night. It was a great way to begin my retirement. Tim and his friends had the Mulehouse shaking. Laughing, crying. Looking forward to 2022.

So how did you come up with the channel name Saucey Dad?
Great question Rita, sounds like a short story time topic 😆😆
@@SauceyDad Yes it does
Wow, you're lucky to be alive. Thanks for the story. Guess there's not much that'll upset your marriage :-D

In the county
Thats rite Barbara!!
Did you start taking more money after that?
Tim, you aren’t old, 40 isn’t old. I’m old I’m 72.
You missed Friday night
Nope!
Oops I asked too quickly!
