Looks awesome man. I am surprised by the full tub interior on this one but I guess this is a pretty old release from Tamiya. Turned out great in that colour.
Hey! For the clear coat, I use 3 or 4 layers, usually after the second layer I sand the varnish to have a better shine on the body. I sand the plastic kit so that the primer can stick to the plastic and sand the primer to smooth the surface and get a better grip for the paint on the primer. (before doing so the paint came off when masking the window frame for example). Hope that helps :)

Yep, the interior is like a snap kit, an old release from Tamiya.
It’s developed from the slant nose snap kit that tamiya offered way back. Either way, it looks amazing for the parts count.
Did you sand the body to remove the original clear coat? Was that so the brown paint sticks?
