Yay! It's an underexplored segment of ship lore here on RUclips.
I agree, lets hope you like all the videos ;)
I'd love to see a Kelvin universe version of the Galaxy Class.
Probably as big as a prime universe, Universe class
@@zazaranger5lol
Now that would be dope
I absolutely adore Kelvin Timeline Ships and I'm delighted to see your delving into them some more ((:
Thank you so much!
These Kelvin Class starship's are really exceptional, very aestheticaly pleasing 👍🖖🙏😇!
🖖😎👍Very cool and very greatly well done and very well informatively explained and executed in every detail way shape and form provided on this format and subject matter on all the various different types and designs of Starship's of the Kelvin Time Line Universe indeed Sir!👌.
The Kelvin Constitution is the best thing to come out of the JJverse
I think there are MANY great things to come from the Kelvin Universe!
Yay! Kelvin ships!
I like the Kelvin universe Starfleet ships when I first saw the 2009 Star Trek movie of its design, although now I don’t love them anymore, but it was very fascinating and interesting, both starships and movies. Please make more of these videos, it would be great! (Yes, I’m waiting for Part 2 of course!)
As a huge fan of the Kelvin Universe, thank you for continuing the lore.
Thank you for this
No problem 😊
The Prime Akula is a beauty that didn't get the attention it deserves so it's nice to see a Kelvin version.
Thank you!
I was so excited to see how the Kelvinprise-A would perform in the fourth film, she looked so elegant and sleek, and I was so pumped to see her interior, but it seems like we won't be getting that, unfortunately! Thank you for some Kelvinverse love! I've always wondered how that universe would diverge from classic Trek, and I would've liked some more media to explore these differences.
I think you're videos are so one of a kind and they are a true gift to be treasured in the Star Trek Universe.
I can't wait for part 2 and the binary star battle variation!!!
Thanks! :)
Brilliant!
Thank you :)
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Absolutely! I enjoy the creativity on your channel up there with ST IV. You love Trek and speak to the heart of it. Giving life and fun even to the places that might have divided the community. Christianity could learn something from Trekkies with stuff like this. Thank you again for posting them and sharing your muchness with us.
I love the stile of the 23rd century Star Fleet prime or Kelvin time line's great video bro
I was waiting for you to review the Kelvin Starfleet Ship classes! Very enjoyable, more please! 😁
More to come! :) A LOT more!
Oh i love the Kelvin timeline its what got me back into star trek im glad you are doing this can't wait to see all the ships from the Kelvin timeline
I'm sincerely curious about how a Kelvin Galaxy and Defiant look.
And those, or at least SOME of those questions will be answered!
Every vid I watch is really outstanding makes my lunch hour fun when I'm working.
You have the best Beta canon stories. It's a joy to watch.
Thank you SO much!
I've had a fondness for the Akula since Starfleet Command. I would even try to not go past that class as it seemed to find a nice balance before the games difficulty would ramp up. Love seeing them in mods like Star Trek Continuum for Homeworld. STO needs to give me an Akula! :)
Wonderful job reimagining the different types of ships of the KelvinU, I really wanted to see more stories from that timeline and all the ships we know as variants of that universe. I would love to see an Exceslcior-class ship in the KU style.
Dont worry, it's coming ;) Along with several others from different eras ;)
Can't wait for your Nimitz variant! Its simply the best of the disco era ships, so a kelvin version should prove interesting!
Enjoyed the video and your Akula class looks great!
Thanks so much!
would love to see more like this one
Thank you!
I’m still very interested in hearing your thoughts on the Kelvin Battle of the Binary Stars.
Then you'll love the next video :)
I love your videos on all the ships you've done. Even the kitbash and your own fan stories are great.
Would love to see a prime version of the Akula class in the TMP style. (For years I thought it was the Apollo class) lol
Great job on this I really like some of the ships in the Kelvin timeline I would like to see you explore as many of the types as you possibly can.
Thank you, and there are a LOT incoming ;)
Thank you very much for this very nice video of the Kelvin Universe
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
I love it all cause its star trek!
LOL Awesome :)
Brilliant, as always 👏👏
Thank you so much 😀
I always assumed the true flaw of single nacelle models was the vibration of the hull in warp absent the balancing factor of other nacelles. If the nacelles are literally the same as a Connie's, it would all be the same; the warp coil technology is the primary determinant of maximum speed. A *small* vessel like a Saladin has less mass, less bulk. A single nacelle can handle pushing that. Maybe even run cooler than a Connie; half the horsepower, but less than half the bulk. Something like a refitted Kelvin, which has all of the bulk of a Connie but only one nacelle WOULD run hotter and be slower... but being "just" a science ship, that's OK. A Saladin could sprint, but it'd be in rough shape when it arrived, would waste some time standing off and/or evading to cool down before joining a fight; as a one-way dispatch boat, it's just fine. An Akula could make the same sprint and be ready to fight.
i like the way the kelvin timeline ships look
Ohh i cant wait for part 2! Loving it!
Thank you so much!
oh wow that is a nice saladin, great job honestly
tbh I like the design more than the Konnie itself, though thats probably just proportion stuff that wouldn't apply to the saladin (kaladin?)
Thanks! I appreciate it! :)
Wanna see a Kelvin Intrepid or a Kelvin Sovereign
Don't worry, they're coming ;)
“Just a little Star Trek fun.” Yeah right. Paramount should look into hiring you part time to their lore team. You design a more engaging story timeline than their whole team of current writers does.
Part time? Hand that man the reigns!!!
I'd say it would be a sound investment on their part without question.
Right on. That was cool. Here's hoping that we'll get to see an Avenger Class. Or better yet, an Archer Class! But this was cool. I like the Kelvin Verse aesthetic myself. I was wondering how you were going to handle the deflector issue with the Saladin Class. I'm guessing that you've used the Avenger/Miranda/Soyuz Class as the inspiration? I like how they did on one upgraded version, can't remember what they called it now, but they had a little cutout section of the bottom part of the saucer and had a deflector stuck in there. Great video as always.
Thanks for the video. If I remember correctly movie 2+3 gave us no „new“ designs so it is an open field for your great imagination!
Loved the video. More of the Kelvin Universe please.
Well there has already been 2 more parts so far :P
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios I’ll definitely watch. 👍🏼
Great video please make more 😊❤
Thank you, I will :)
OMG i loved the video! ty and LLAP!
Thanks again :)
love the video. I love the Kelven verse's Saladin class. I really love how more of a destroyer feel I get from it. unlike the prime universe, where a single disrupter blast could take it out. also, I love the bigger heartier nacelles.
can't wait to see a kelvin universe crossfield
Also, I know I am in the minority of Star Trek fans. I don't hate the Kelvin timeline or even it's movies. I also really like the ship designs/looks.
Did you by chance read any of the Kelvin timeline comics? They were really good in my opinion. They took TOS concepts/episodes and applied them to the Kelvin Universe. We also got to see a Kelvin Timeline Miranda class and the Enterprise under command of Captain. April.
nice
Thanks
I have My ups and downs on the Kelvin timeline ships but there are some good designs
Been waitin for this!
Ta da! Lol
Yoooo those 3d models are fantastic
I know it's still a sore spot for many fans, but since I was only 14 when _Star Trek: The Future Begins_ (yes, I use the subtitle) came out I can't help but feel a groundswell of nostalgia for the Kelvin Timeline designs despite them not being my cup of tea otherwise. Got into the franchise when I was 5 years old so besides Enterprise, I had been watching all reruns and had no new content to sink my teeth into at the time. So I've always had a guilty pleasure for the 1st and 3rd Kelvin movies.
I thought the first movie was ok but not great. I hate Into Darkness and it is my least favorite Star Trek movie (Second is Nemesis) but I liked Beyond a lot.
@@roguerifter9724 Oh yeah, Into Darkness was terrible, I agree that it was easily the worst ST Film.
What happens during the Kelvin battle of the Binary Stars?
My prediction; StarFleet wipes the floor with the Klingons. I say this for three reasons.
1. The Klingons never got ahold of the Narada’s technology, which leaves them at a technological disadvantage against StarFleet. While the Klingons did engage in battle with the Romulan vessel at one point, Klingon’s are not known for taking detailed scans of their adversaries. And, given that all 47 Klingon vessels were destroyed, it is very unlikely that there were any survivors who could relay technical information about the Narada to the High Council, given that all the Klingons who were apart of the battle would most likely rather die honorably in battle than flee in escape pods or shuttles. It is also worth mentioning that the destruction of so many vessels during the Klingons’ battle with the Narada would significantly weaken the Empire’s military might and force them to pick their battles very carefully.
2. In Star Trek Into Darkness, it is shown that the Klingons have suffered a major Catastrophe on their moon above Qronos. Such an event at the heart of Klingon territory would definitely have consequences for the Empire, given that Klingon moons are usually known for supporting power plants which produce energy and resources for the Empire. Much like the destruction of Praxis in the Prime Timeline, I do believe the destruction of Qronos’ moon could have devastating ramifications for the Empire.
3. The Klingon’s most powerful vessel (the D7) still mostly resembles its Prime Universe counterpart. In Star Trek 2009, during the Kobayashi Maru simulation, the Klingon D7 is shown to be apart of the simulation and it mostly resembles its Prime Universe counterpart. While still, undoubtedly, a powerful ship in the Kelvin Timeline Universe, it would be far slower and far less powerful than the Kelvin equivalent of the Prime Timeline ship that was built to match it; the Constitution Class.
On a side note, it is very likely that the Kelvin Timeline Klingons would be too engaged in a power struggle within the Empire to begin a war with the Federation. Given that the Klingon Empire is being technologically outmatched by the Federation, infighting would likely break out over the question of whether to attack a technologically superior foe or try to catch up by any means necessary. At the very least, the state of the Empire (as seen in Star Trek 2009 with the destruction of the Klingon fleet at the hands of the Romulan Narada) would make the Klingon Empire’s ability to sustain a war against the Federation, very unlikely.
It is perhaps also worth mentioning that what passes as a D4 Class Klingon Battle Cruiser in Star Trek Into Darkness, is barely larger than a shuttle or troop transport. While it is entirely possible that the Klingons have downsized some of their vessels in recent years in this timeline, a hundred years ago during the 22nd century the D4 was larger than an NX Class Starship and was far more powerful.
Side note: if the Klingons never invaded the area of space where Michael Burnham’s family lived, and since much of Spock’s childhood was shown in Star Trek 2009 without seeing or hearing mention of her on Vulcan, is it safe to assume that she is not Spock’s sister in the Kelvin timeline just like how she isn’t in the Prime Timeline?
And if that is the case, was Michael Burnham even present at the Battle of the Binary Stars (if history is so different, who’s to say she ever even joined StarFleet in the Kelvin Universe?)?
i always wondered how the kelvin timeline deals with the borg they are already advanced for the time thanks to neros ship
Never liked ships from the JJ prise era but seeing other starfleet ships besides wreckage is pretty cool
🖖
:)
I wanna see the galaxy and sovereign class in the kelvin time lime
To Vulcan in 5 mins is wild. Honestly, if handled in the right regime the advanced tech in the Kelvin timeline would be a fun series. Leave it far away from the writers of today that’s for sure though 😂
Based on the thumbnail image, I actually thought the Akula class would be more like a Kelvin timeline Constellation class, which is a design that I personally love because it gives a bit more life to the TMP era... with no disrespect to the redesign, I think the Akuka is kind of a fugly, but still elegant in its own way, design
While the redesign makes it appear much more appealing as an overall starship, I personally would have preferred the Constellation class... but maybe it's just me being a sucker for Picard's old Stargazer, idk
4:56 is that a 3 nacelled miranda?
The ample nacelles universe.
LOL
at the end, is that supposed to be a Kelvin version of the Crossfield class?
Youll have to wait for the answer ;)
The akula class, is the core in the back of the saucer?
Really annoyed me that we never get to have more Kelvin timeline ship in STO
Still LOTS of time ;)
Oooh does this mean you're gonna actually recognize that the Salcombe type exists?
I never denied its existence!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios so many sources act like it doesn't exist, or at least don't realize it does, so that's good to hear!
Call me anything you want but I think Kelvin timeline ships look pretty
better world building then modern hollywood could pull off
Thank you so much, that's a huge compliment ;)
I just wanted to give a headsup:
There is a Kelvin Saladin in the game Star Trek Bridge Crew. Blelele~
I'm a fan of the Akula class in og Timeline.
So naturally, I like it here as well.
Well just to give you a heads up, that is a fan design included in the mod, so has no standing what so ever... Infact, the only true Beta Canon only Saladin Class is in Star Trek: Fleet Command, but check the registry on my model to explain that!
Technically in star trek fleet command there's the "official" uss Saladin and uss Newton "look" I guess there kind of nx o1 vibe being very "dirty" I guess like the ships we see floating above vulcan destroyed by the narada
Fleet Command is only Beta Canon, there is nothing "official" about it... And please note the Registry of THESE ships!
Oooooh I see it damn I got ratioed 😂😂
My favourite feature of the Kelvin Enterprise is that it contains a Coors Beer factory within its hull (:
It’s was the new Budweiser factory used
😀@@escos0410
I always thought that bigger size of Kelvin Timeline Starfleet ships was because of lacking ability to minaturize 24th century tech while using 23rd century methods of construction. For example Starfleet had Transwarp Drive but was lacking of powerful warp core so they used multiple of them in first Enterpise, then after destruction of Narada they had acces to more detailed scans and they were able to retrofit 24th century Borg warp core into Enterprise Refit. Hence size diference.
Seems we had same idea ;)
Well in essence that's true with what I said in regards to the Transwarp Drive!
So my post is not me hating on the Kelvin timeline movies or the JJ Enterprise. As I really like the Kelvin timeline movies. I'm just stating factual stuff which you probably know by now.
The JJ Enterprise was originally supposed to be a little bit bigger than original Refit Enterprise. It was upscaled to the ridiculous size by ILM because JJ wanted to include that stupid brewery for Engineering and of course the ridiculously sized shuttlebay scene.
I just find it more believable of the original size which would be like 365 meters or so. Not the ridiculous over 700 meters long.
I will say you did an awesome job as always with this video.
365 m does NOT work with what is seen on screen! So it cant be that size!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios I know it doesn't. As I said it was originally supposed to be that but because the brewery and the shuttle bay scenes the way they are ILM had to upscale the ship. I really liked your video and as I said my post wasn't meant to come off as hating as I like the Kelvin timeline movies. Beyond is my favorite of the bunch as it more in lines ties closer to The Original Series.
Do you plan on covering USS Aegis at some point?
If I ever can find a good quality model of it!
It suks we only have a vengeance, comand kelvin constitution, intel constitution,Franklin, and no other ships on star trek online
27 days to Vulcan? That can't be right. 40 Eridani A is only 16 light-years away. Perhaps you meant 27 hours away.
No, it's days... Do the math, at warp 6, TOS Warp Scale, it would take 27 days! Just because Trek makes Warp Speed look so fast, doesnt mean it actually is!
Not a criticism of you personally, but it is a little bothersome that the inclusion of a deflector dish in any ST starship has been completely abandoned, unless it’s based on the original Constitution class concept. They tried to retcon the Reliant from TWoK, saying it had smaller deflectors in the main saucer section. But now, just completely ignore a detail that kind of made Star Trek starships, starships. 🤷🏼♂️
Im not exactly sure what you're talking about here, but Trek (and Roddenberry) has always been clear that starships in Trek do NOT require deflector dishes! Deflector Emitters along the hull work just fine! See Miranda, Oberth, Constellation, Centaur Classes etc... And its not retconning when they were ALWAYS like that!
The one thing that makes me dislike the kelvin universe is that they surpass TNG tech 200 years earlier but still has the same downside of all technology in Star Trek lore. No matter how powerful this shields no matter how much a blade of armor. The first major hit will always damage some sort of piece of equipment that will lead to a systemwide shut down of whatever system that piece of equipment was connected to a human always has to go to the physical conduit and point a science fiction Harry Potter wand at the problem to fix it just before a time limit that would’ve blown up the ship.
But at least they don’t have rocks flying out of digital councils lol
Well first, the tech doesn't surpass TNG, aside from Transwarp, but that is only 30 or so years after TNG... Second with the rest of the tech not being so advanced, your argument becomes moot! IE shielding is not so advanced, nor is there ablative armor on these ships!
Bye bye mentions 😂
Sorry? I dont understand?
People who can’t stand the Kelvin universe would prefer it not being mentioned and will let u know about it.
Lol Ahhhhh got it! Lol but that happens no matter what video I make lol
The ships may have been interesting, but the films were not.
That isnt true... Though you might not of personally liked them, that doesn't make them uninteresting. I was very interested in all of them, especially enjoying the first and last one... Which inspired me to make this, and the upcoming videos!
As an Enterprise fan, I really liked Star Trek: Beyond. It felt like they really understood where they went wrong, and wound up making a good movie as a result. Also the NX-326 Franklin was a cute little ship!
Also I now refer to semi modern things as Classical now.
Nope, it ain’t Star Trek
It is, and no matter how you personally feel, that will NEVER change! You're not that important!
