Just got mine. I attached it and looked through it and first it was all white. So, I shut the camera off, removed the evf and then put it back on. Now when I turn the camera on all I see is black and the lcd doesn’t shut off.
That sounds strange. Turn off the camera and remove the battery. Wait a few seconds and then attach the evf before inserting the battery. If that doesnt work then check for a camera update and try again. Hope it works for you. If it does let me know, if not return it to the shop and get a replacement. Thanks for watching.
I've had my Visoflex 020 for a couple of years and, recently, for no apparent reason, it decided to stop working. I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy one of these things used for sure.
@@Paullebbon Oh, that is really intimidating, so, even when MPB gives 6 months warranty it is still going to be a pain? Hm, I was so exited when I saw your video 😄
It connects via the eye piece and adds photo location only. I would not buy the eyepiece again as it litterally fell apart after a few weeks. Thanks for watching.
I never found GPS on a camera of any use. My Leica SL came with a built in GPS but I turned it off to save battery. I guess they took the GPS out of the SL2 for a good reason. From Paul's experience, I think I will stay with using the LCD on my TL2. For the price of 3 new Visoflex 020, I think I can buy a second hand CL (not a collector but a "back from the war zone" example" which comes with its own EVF. I wonder what's next on Leica's innovation front? Perhaps a built in hygrometer in the next external evf or camera body to warn its owner that his dehumidifying cabinet is not working properly. Definitely good profit margin for Leica.
@@Paullebbon I love my photos being GEO-tagged, and I am about (2024 aug) to buy a silver TL2 together with the Visoflex Typ 020 exactly as your gorgeous-looking set here. So, you say that this Visoflex doesn't actually provide location data via the electronic contacts in the accessory shoe mount?
Try looking through the setting to see if there is a setting to connect. Otherwise I don't know, mine connected when I attached the EVF. Sorry I cannot help further. Thanks for watching.
@@Paullebbon Yeah, even today the price is hefty €320 at MPB with 6 months warranty, but that is quite normal for every decent EVF especially with Leica logo.
I am terribly sorry but I can’t answer that question. I will leave it here and see if one of the viewers can help. But, please check out my warning video on the Visoflex before buying. Thanks for watching.
That is personal choice. On my Canon I used to take it off after each use. But the Leica I usually only take it off when storing the camera in the dry box. Thanks for watching.

I agree completely. Mine was such a disaster I had to make a follow up video. Thanks for watching.

Considering getting one for my M10, but wasn't sure about the how the GPS function works.

Sound advice my friend. I never found the GPS a battery drain though, but it was only over a few weeks of use. Thanks for the helpful advice.

when using evf (looking from the evf) can use touch focus ?
I believe so yes. It has been a few years since I used it. Thanks for watching.
@@Paullebbon thank you for answer 🙏
You're most welcome. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Have a nice weekend.

I feel your pain about the price, but saying that the eyepiece for my Ricoh GXR was pricey too. I think it's something you need for the T though
Yes, it is essential, but it really is a 6 year old device and it shows. They should have brought the price down over time. Thanks for watching.

Does evf2 and visoflex works on Leica X 113?

Do you usually leave the EV on all the time, or do you take it off and only put It on when needed?

You live in Vietnam?
Yes I do. 😊
