Thank you for the video! It was very informative. I plan on going to Curacao July of 2025 for my birthday. What document did you say that we needed to get before you travel there? Also I plan on staying at the Avila Beach Hotel. I read a lot of really good reviews. Do you know anything about it?
Hey! You’ll have to complete the Digital Immigration Card within 7 days prior to your departure to Curacao. You can visit Curaçao’s official website to fill it out
Don’t know too much about Avila but it IS one of the nicer, more acclaimed hotels. It’s also close to Willemstad which is nice. They also offer day passes which includes access to their private beach and other services so if you want to experience Avila that’s also an option.

How did you rent a car in advance? What website did you use?
Travelocity is usually our go-to for booking car rentals. But at the time when wanted to book because we booked our rental a bit last minute and around carnival season, there weren’t any vehicles available on Travelocity and had to reserve a rental directly with a local agency thru their website. But if not for that situation, we would go with Travelocity. Just don’t wait tooooo last minute to book your ride

We stayed at an Airbnb in Jan Thiel

Mandatory travel health insurance??
travel health insurance isn't mandatory. any sort of health insurance isn't "mandatory" but having it is advised. if you're insured through an employer, that's fine too but again, it's not mandatory, only advised. From the official site: "You are *advised* to have valid medical insurance or travel insurance that covers medical expenses." (also, they don't check at customs if you have insurance.) We live in the northwest part of the island, far away from the very crowded part of Jan Thiel and surroundings with all the traffic jams all day long at Caracas bay road. Here at the hilly side of the island you can really enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of envolding nature. But still you have all the nightlife of Willemstad and Jan Thiel within a 30 minutes car ride. Our first neighbors live 300 meters down the road and we are looking over a huge valley only covered in lush green.
We have an apartment for family/friends/holidaymakers at Bisento Hill and each one of them are amazed by the stunning views and tranquility of our site. You won't get that at the southeast and very busy part of the island. Guests do go to Seaquarium, Mambo Beach and all the other tourist traps but are always glad to come back to their apartment in serenity.

Good morning, can you please tell me how much were the beach fees?
Good morning! ☀️ Most beaches charge $3-$12 entry fees. Private beaches at resorts may charge more for example LionsDive will be around $17.
Other beach fees (USD):
Mambo beach $3
Blauwbaai $3
Grote Knip $7
Playa Forti free
Cas Abao $6
Porto Mari $6
Jan Thiel $5
Blue Bay $7.50
There are many many more beaches to choose from (for a fee and free). Some beaches charge extra for beach chairs/loungers. We haven’t seen those cost more than $5. Hope this helps!

Food Prices:

Hotel Prices
• Budget Hotels/Motels: Prices generally range from $50-$100 per night. These are often basic accommodations without many amenities.
• Mid-range Hotels: Expect to pay between $100-$250 per night. These hotels typically offer more amenities like pools, gyms, and room service. There are a few that offer private beach access.
• Luxury Hotels: Prices can start at $250 per night and go up to $1000+ for top-tier experiences. These all likely have beach access
• Vacation Rentals/Airbnb: Prices generally range from $100-$300 per night.
But in the end it all comes down to your budget and the experience you’re willing to pay for. You can live large, live small, or do both 😊

Hi! Consider Baoase Luxury Resort, although not truly close to Sandals it’s one of the more luxurious resorts available.

Mangrove was actually one of our top choices! It’s conveniently close to Willemstad which is nice and also has a private beach which is a win. Curacao beaches can get crowded so if you’re going to Curacao for the beach it’s a good choice. But we did hear the food on site isn’t anything to fiend over but if you plan to eat off resort you should be fine. Hope this helps!
@@tiffanimee8106 we just got back from Curacao and a week stay at Mangrove! Great location, easy to get anywhere from the resort. The property was nice and well maintained and free parking garage (we rented a car) was a real plus. I will say the food was not great in our opinion, we ate most meals offsite after the first day. The was a lot of fried foods and most food was over cooked and pretty bland unfortunately. Would definitely stay here again just would know that we won’t be getting our moneys worth by eating onsite.

Curacao has great hotel and bnb options so it comes down to how you like to vacation. We tend to spend a lot of time roaming around town so airbnbs work well for us. You will likely save money with a bnb but hotels offer nice amenities that not all bnbs have like access to private beaches, room service, cleaning, etc. Ultimately it comes down to what’s most important for you when vacationing but either choice is a good one

Hey there! Curacao is on my list, does the sunset pretty early over there?
Hey! It depends what time of year you go. You can Google sunset times or go to worlddata.info
If you want to catch the sunset somewhere, we recommend getting to your location 1hr sooner than the time Google tells you the sun sets. Hope this helps!
