Belize offers two main types of experiences: the beautiful islands like San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, known for beaches and snorkeling, and the mainland, which is ideal for cultural and nature-based adventures, including the Mayan ruins. If the ruins are your top priority, spend a few days on the mainland first, then transfer to San Pedro for the island experience. If beach and snorkeling are your priority, base yourself in San Pedro and book a day trip to the ruins via ferry or flight. You can stay in San Ignacio (Mainland) for easy access to major ruins like Xunantunich, Caracol, and ATM Cave. Spend a few days exploring the ruins, then transfer to San Pedro for beach relaxation. It should be completed within 7 days before your departure. Completing it in advance will ensure a smoother process at Immigrations/Customs when you land in Curaçao. X'tan Ha "The Waterfront" Resort. Absolutely pleased with it. We dined mostly off resort so we can't speak fully to what the experience would be if we spent our entire day on site dining wise, but they offer great service, activities, food, waterfront experience. We would recommend 💯

Food and drink is reasonably priced. We’re from NYC so it’s cheaper than here but still not dirt cheap. An upscale restaurant in Curaçao might run $50-$80 pp. But there are also much more affordable restaurants that offer top service and great food. Keep your eyes open for happy hours. They make things much more affordable and almost every restaurant offers one.

Hi! No not generally. You’ll likely experience more traffic driving in to Jan Thiel. That’s where most of the traffic can be especially during after work hours.

Hey! everything was paid online via Airbnb. You shouldn’t have to pay anything outside of Airbnb. If they’re asking you to pay cash in person that’s a red flag. Paying with a credit card if safest because you can dispute and take no fault. don’t pay anything in person or pay using any vendor other than Airbnb. If it’s a new property or if the bnb owner doesn’t have any reviews or history, I’d also be cautious. If you are feeling a bit anxious about it, it may be best to follow your intuition and move fwd w a property you feel most confident in. Hope this helps!

Hi! the transfer was offered through our Airbnb. The bnb had a few drivers. This is one: Tosh +501 628-8141. But you’ll be able to find other transfer services on Google as well. You should also be able to arrange through your bnb/hotel. Hope this helps!

It was a couple mins drive to Jan Thiel beach but there are soo many more beaches North of the island that would be minimum 30mins+ away. Jan Thiel is a great neighborhood but we think there are other bnbs and neighborhoods more central to the beaches available. And that’s correct, 250usd

Hey! You’ll have to complete the Digital Immigration Card within 7 days prior to your departure to Curacao. You can visit Curaçao’s official website to fill it out Don’t know too much about Avila but it IS one of the nicer, more acclaimed hotels. It’s also close to Willemstad which is nice. They also offer day passes which includes access to their private beach and other services so if you want to experience Avila that’s also an option. Hope this helps!

Hey! Secrets played plenty reggae, dancehall and soca. The only thing is that Secrets had more wallflowers but maybe we came too early. Emporio also played a mix of music with more reggaeton and people dancing in their groups. Grand Cafe Mahaii has a Thursday night reggae night which might be what you’re looking for. If we were to visit again we’d give these three a shot. We have a Things To Know video w a list of nightlife locations around the 7 min mark.
