My dorm from 1980. The upgrades look amazing. Was a hall president on the top floor and the next year an RA! Wishing all new students a safe and healthy time!
As a parent I relate to your mom so much!! I wish I could go back to college and I always tell my daughter NEVER go to the bathroom by yourself! This video was great! I appreciate the information on some students needing to stay in a hotel room!!

I can’t imagine how tiring it was to get all your stuff to the UCSB campus.😅 I’m just an hour away so hopefully if I get accepted it won’t be as much of a hassle lol. Congrats for getting in though and I hope you enjoy your experience! Santa Barbara is an amazing area!

Hi, I loved ur vid! I'm deciding on which residence hall I should sign up for as a freshman majoring in bio (or maybe chemical engineering). isn't Portola dining hall very far from your residence hall? How long do you have to walk from ur residence hall to bio buildings?
I’m glad you enjoyed the video!! Unfortunately the science buildings are the furthest on campus. And if you stay at FT then the bike ride could be 10-15 min everyday (i had to do that and it was horrendous sometimes especially when it rained). But FT was a nice dorm. Portola is right next to the dorm. Enjoy UCSB :)
