You did great with the organization before you made the final move and OMG that carpet made the room, I feel like if the carpet hadn't been put under the bed it would have felt very cold. Have a wonderful time at college, We don't do this in Australia but I would have absolutely loved the chance to live away from home and study in an environment full of my schoolmates and meet people. It's such a great opportunity to get a feel for looking after yourself but still being protected by a college environment.

Would your mirror fit to the right of the pink curtain or “ door”? It would still be close to your wardrobe and I’m sure your roommate would knock before entering the room. You could also see if you could remove the hooks on the main door and just save them if you move out and use command strips to hang the mirror. They also make white strips that cover your cords that have to hang vertically,( Neon sign for instance), so it wouldn’t be an eyesore.

It’s easier to put the trash bag over the top of the hanger and make a hole for the hanger top. Then the opening for the bag is open on the bottom so it doesn’t squish your clothes

my roommate wanted the room without the sink, so she could have more space! and said she would use the communal sink in our section. we could have totally shared the sink but that's what she wanted!
To me, you should have organized your stuff/clothing when you originally packed. As far as your room goes, as someone who works at a school, we do clean the rooms over the summer BUT they will get dusty again once we leave. That's life. We don't spend that much time in the rooms. Take stuff out, take care of floors, dust a little then put stuff back. I agree that you want your room cleaned but, it just seems as though you're coming off as a brat & complaining about first world problems.
