I can’t be the only who thinks dark somnium is the best narrator because he expresss the emotions or mental state of the characters through his voice and the awesome background music he makes really makes the story come together
He really is. I've heard a lot of different narrators and not that many bring the story to life, so many are just flat readers, it's really nice and truly honors the story
Lol he's had some amazing years. Literally almost at a million. 5 years ago we were trying to get 200 Comments per video still. It's beautiful to see Ronnie being appreciated by so many. He definitely deserves it with all the home made sfx and piano music he creates. Every story has been amazing I don't think we've been disappointed yet
I lost my dad almost 7 years ago, he was 52 and had an unexpected heart attack. We were extremely close, I miss that man so fucking much, there's not a second that goes by that I don't think of him. U did a hell of job narrating this, thanks for putting a smile on face!
I lost my son to brain cancer 10 years ago. He was 6 years and 9 days old. I felt your pain as I read your comment. My hearts with you brother. I pray for peace
I liked this one a lot. Spooky, yet with a satisfying ending. I like how Tuck took something of a fatherly role to the narrator, who needed exactly that as he was lost in the woods. Makes me miss my own dad all over again. If you're lucky enough to have a good father, missing him after he's gone is the price you pay.
I just lost my dad in November and that’s probably the best way I’ve ever heard anyone put it. It is the price you pay and despite the hurt that, so far, never seems to abate, it’s still worth it to have had him for the time I did. Thanks to all the great dads both here now, and those from the past. You stay with us through the good you instill in us.
Hey everyone! i hope you like the video! i would love to know what you think :) Remember to like and share! (if you want to) Check out The Chilling app! chilling.app.link/darksomnium
It makes me so livid and angry that people are taking your hard work and reputation and bootlegging it. I've only known your channel for 4 years, but it still makes me happy to be a part of this community you created. The way you tell stories is so immersive and emotional at times, it's like I'm visualizing a movie in my head, and I love that. your signature can never be replicated 💛
This story is magnificent and inspiring. The fact that the events after the crash are nearly dreamlike and the protagonist reawakening in safety was a brilliant segue to lead in to the shocking resolution is proof of careful, expert plot building. Of all the fictional written characters I hold dear in my heart, Maxwell will now hold the top rung on that list of mine. What a legendary piece, thank you Dark and Stone for making this story come to life and once again delivering my soul a delectable narration to ponder and reflect on.
This is definitely my favorite horror narration channels, not just because you have a great voice but because the stories you pick to read aren't all just pure horror. There's often this sense of melancholy to them, they aren't just spooky monster stories but stories about loss and I love that
Man I just get so excited when a new story releases. At this point I listen to this more than music. Thank you for the hours of genuine entertainment you've provided me with all my heart and I hope you never lose passion in what you do.
This is such a layered story, not a single untied loose end (if that makes sense). Fantastic narrations and beautiful storytelling, Dark, props to you:)
Well, I hope no one minds but I think I'm gonna adopt the "lost in the woods kid" quote into my vocabulary. I didn't grow up with my parents but something about reminds me of my early army career and my old platoon sgt. To him, in a way we were all his kids just like his own. One of the best men, soldiers and father's I've ever met.
Now that I've listened to the story, It reminds me of "The Red West". Given that in both stories there's a mysterious kind stranger, saving the main character from a dreadful fate. I really like such narratives!
What a fantastic story, Ronnie!! Best I've heard in a while from ANYBODY! Nice touch using Big Daddy and Rom. Almost makes me willing to give up bitching about not getting more material from you ..The music was right on time. Spot on!
I've been listening to your channel for about 5 years now. You have have helped me sleep some hard nights in the military. I never could ever explain how much you have people that come across your channel. Even though my army contract ended a little more than a year ago, I still listen to the radio or a new story every single night. I really appreciate the stories and the great narration.
One thing I learned a long time ago, from a night-shift arc welder, formerly a first grade school teacher. "The world has no place for you; you must make your own, and find your own way, or be ground under by the rest of the world" If you feel like you are lost in the woods, is because they are not your woods they belong to someone else. Either you need to cut it all down, make a clearing, burn it all down, or find yourself a guide.
Thank you so much for mentioning those fake profiles! They're absolutely scans (I'm working on busting some of them as we speak, as my first attempts at scam busting), and they're popping up in the comment section of MANY creators on here. And I think they're actually reeling people in, if only occasionally. So, thank you for making others aware of them! 🖤
I'm so glad to be early, I've seem almost all your narrations and i can say 100% you're my #1. You're the only narrator that is able to scare me, the stump is one of my favorites from you. The way you put effort on your music for every video is amazing, the outro always hits hard. And the effects are amazing, that's what makes a big difference. I van imagine but when I have the sound along with it just is amazing
Thanks for another great video! Been listening to your stuff so much for so long, and hearing you tell these stories has easily become one of the things I look forward to the most. Keep up the good work, and keep 'em coming! : )
This was a good one man. Quite the treat 2 days in a row. Gonna spoil us if you're not careful lol. I would happily take a new one every day but I'll take what u can get. You have a good one my man, and thanks for all the stories
Hello Dark Somnium just wanted to say thank you for accompanying me while i am currently sick right now with a high fever... Your story readings have accompanied me since around 3 years ago and since then i have been regularly listening to your story readings. May God bless you and your family. آمِيْن يَا رَبَّ العَالَمِيْنَ😄
Lost my dad to cancer in December. Like the person in the story besides my son he was the only person I really talked to like that. Feel bad cause I needed to be alone and distanced myself from everyone. Now anxiety is stopping me from reaching out again. Maybe I need to go to the forest for a while.
This is exactly the words I’ve been looking for, ethereal! TDS narrates them a lot. It gives me a dreamlike, otherworldly feeling when listening. Like a story that leaves out just enough information, but enough for you to piece it together.
You are hands down my favorite narrator in the horror story genre. I love your videos and save them and share them all the time. Keep up the amazing work!
Damn, you never fail at a narration making it feel like a movie and the characters feel alive too, beautiful work dude!!! The emotions in these narratives are god tier!!
Omg that was so good! And as far as the Chilling App, I don't think I'll ever turn on background noise, as you write your own music for your narrations. Much prefer your music to any background noise. 💜💜
This is why I rate your narrations as one of the best your delivery is impeccable and the emotion you deliver is spot on cheers mate always a pleasure to listen too
I re-signed up for the Chilling app when you joined it, I keep forgetting to go and check if you have uploaded though. More Somnuim stories, now that's definitely a bonus. Cheers Ronnie. Lee.

this story was really interesting!!! i definitely got a little ahead of myself thinking that there would be some connection between the ranger the the narrator’s father, but i honestly like how it played out better than that. i wonder if ranger tuck stayed in the “other side” of the woods voluntarily after he died? at least, i like that thought a little better than a good man doomed to an eternity of playing tug of war with lost souls and a serial killer.😭 regardless, a great narration as always!!!
This better be the year that you get to 1 million subs, it’s long overdue. Your content is as amazing as ever man, thank you for continuing to share it with us!
You are my favorite narrator and I'm happy to be a part of your community the perfectly calming voice and ambiance thank you for posting so often I never miss a video
Ahh that was good! I was a little skeptical when he awoke in the hospital with car crash wounds... would the final pieces of the story's puzzle be wrapped up in an interesting way, or would it be more disappointing? I absolutely love this ending.
Oh, how I love this story! Som, your voice is so soothing and relaxing. I just found out about these creepy pastas in March and I am totally hooked! My two favorites, are you and Stephen, from Lighthouse horror, both of your voices are extremely calming and soothing, and you both deliver such excellent voices, tone and emotion to the stories. It really brings them home. Big daddy stones voice is the perfect voice for what I would picture a big, strong strapping park ranger to sound like, too. Love when you do these collaborations. Keep up the great work. Thanks so much for all the time and attention you put into these great stories! 💯percent great!!
You know you’re getting big on RUclips when the fake scam channels start popping up. keep up the great work man, your videos/livestreams are one of the big things that let me fall asleep working night shift
Just wanted to say thanks to my favourite creepypasta channel, you opened my eyes to new type of entertainment, the best one might I add, the entertainment of imagination.
Yo Mr. Somnium, ever since u did the NFC story I've been listening, I've even looked up your friend that partnered with u on that series and listened to her "last sin eater" story. I don't know if you've gotten this request yet but I as well as many others would love it if u could collaborate with everyone that helped u with the NFC and do the hotel inertia story. I fell in love with "Wendigo" Wendy's character ever since her debut in the NFC story and I personally would love it if someone could give her origin story an amazing narration. This is just a request from a loyal fan to one of the greatest creepy pasta narratos I've ever heard, and please tell miss Lockwood thank you for her performance and hello from all her fans!😁
you've single handedly brought me full force back into horror and listening to horror once more, and i cannot thank you enough for bringing this life back into me in which i missed so much, your voice is magical and helps me through my hours of work! i appreciate your channel, and with so much effort and feeling in each video, i can find myself listening over and over again to the stories you share, and i never really feel bored of it; i always find something else i really like, through a new listen or listening over a story again, truly appreciate your work!

this story was really interesting!!! i definitely got a little ahead of myself thinking that there would be some connection between the ranger the the narrator’s father, but i honestly like how it played out better than that. i wonder if ranger tuck stayed in the “other side” of the woods voluntarily after he died? at least, i like that thought a little better than a good man doomed to an eternity of playing tug of war with lost souls and a serial killer.😭 regardless, a great narration as always!!!
