Lady GaGa is one of the most influential artists of our time. She rubbed so many adults the wrong way when I was younger and I loved it. Now, it’s inspiring to look back and see how much she raged against the machine.
gaga was so ahead of her time, she’s such a great preformance artist that the public opinion of her automatically went against her because everyone of scared of what she did and who she is. she’s genuinely an artist to her core, things don’t *make sense* with her sometimes, her music and performances were meant to be shocking, her personas and messages within each album are so heavy. i’ve always loved how misunderstood she is.

i went to the same summer camp she did and had the same teacher she'd had there a few years after her career took off and it was incredibly inspirational to hear stories about how she's doing exactly what she said she wanted to do when she was growing up

Didn't know about her performances and about the underlying meanings....Gaga really had some deep stuff.
I remember back when i was secondary school,in religious education class we were watching gagas Judas music video and studying different scenes and I must say that it was by far one of my favourite videos done by her 👏🏾. I remember my classmates getting mixed reactions from the video and even one class member walking out refusing to watch. I feel like her music really stood out for me as she was telling a message about her story. She is wha I describe as a unique celebrity 🖤

As a massive Gaga fan since the beginning I got to see it all happening and people always have been so confused about her. I've been asked hundreds of times "What fascinates you so much about her?" and I think it's that curiosity from everyone towards her that keeps her being so relevant, consistent and abover all, a really good artist. I knew she had potential, never thought she'd reach this "cultural pop definer" kind of status but here for it. Errr...yeah she's certainly wise to the game. But I'm not sure it takes an IQ of 200 to realise the media is a vehicle you can either work to your own advantage, or be taken advantage of by, depending on how you choose to play the fame game.
Plenty of examples of how both approaches tend to play out in recent popular culture. Madonna being the most obvious example of the former and Whitney being the most obvious example of the latter. She took Madonna's proactive approach to media and took it to the next logical level. Thats all.

It can definitely be confusing when certain people are not aware of what your art is about. While I am not at all an artist of Lady Gaga‘s caliber or anything like that, I’ve even experienced instances where a story that I try to tell in some of my music gets overshadowed by my delivery. I had my family misunderstand a video I posted where I appeared to be drunk in the shower, but it was to eventually promote a song that I never completed about struggling with drinking. My family thought that somehow I took the video while I was actually drunk and posted it 😂

I did research Millie Brown a bit a few years ago and yes, most of her art practice is swallowing acrylic paint then vomiting it onto the canvas, kinda like a Jackson Pollock but with fluids, and she has it controlled as acrylics can be toxic if ingested for too long thus forcing her to throw it up immediately
