Address Established Titles. You can't just keep ignoring it.
Established Titles is a scam, and you _need_ to actually address it.
nvr been this early to a vid! woot go bucks
U don’t have to address establish tittles bc nobody knew
No!
@@Hamborger14837 Yes he does. Because the fact of the matter is, he was sponsored _by_ a scam. Ignorance isn't an excuse.
You need to read the fine print. Always be careful of who it is you're getting sponsors from. Because sometimes, said sponsors might be completely *fake.*
Patrick, are you going to address the fact that your previous sponsor (Established Titles) was a *scam?*
I’m so glad people are calling out that scam. It bothered me for months that so many youtubers I watched kept promoting it when it’s such obvious bullshit.
Wait, for real?
Wait really?
It is fine nobody knew so it isn’t his fault guys
almost all ads are scams! stay save
"sorry judge, I bought the quarter pound of fentanyl because I got voted off American Idol"
Over ten years ago, too! 😂🤦♀️🤦♀️
I should have used the excuse "sorry judge.. I'm addicted to fentanyl because I watched too much American idol" when I was arrested in 2019 🤔
Yeah ley me get out my smallest violin for that one
@@katelynbrown98 Right? She jumped on that wagon earlyyyyy 😂 #aheadofthegame
It was actually 2 pounds (almost) to be exact it was 830 grams of fentanyl. Patrick made a mistake when he said 400 grams. Read the paperwork that it shows in this video.
I am surprised you didn't talk about the long run of "America's best sob story" where the contestants with the best sob stories were pushing out the real talent to such a degree the producers actually had to the judges to stop using the contestant's stories as a part of their judgement
Well there ya go. I've been tellin my mum (who watches the aussie version) for years that it's more about the friggin sob story than actual talent but didn't know it'd actually become a publicised issue. It was just so bloody obvious that's what was goin on. The show's a bloody joke. 🙄👎
But that's just kinda part of this type of television right? I agree it's shitty, but a lot of people want personality next to talent. (Ofcourse it should be both instead of just personality/story, but wanting to make interesting television has always been such a big part of these kind of competitions)
bc it's not the aha that you think it is. If being talented was the only thing that mattered, then people like Kanye wouldn't be losing listeners every time he spouts his mouth off. People want to like the person they are rooting for and want to be able to relate to them. That's a pretty normal thing to want from a musician.
@@JohnnyBoy7894 I thought the pretty normal thing to want in a musician was y'know good music. People would like the musician if they like their music.
Definitely. It really became the Americas biggest singing victim. I couldn’t stomach watching it anymore
And Paula Abdul was clearly snowed every moment of taping of every show. Sloppy.
I auditioned for American Idol S13 and was turned away because they “had an idea of who they wanted to win and i was too much like the previous winner” so…..do with that what you will
nervousknees You are a good singer you should upload more videos
I think you were just facing racism unless you tried out in like 2004 because i believe only one black female has ever won it
Lmao trust me if got so much talent try getting industry without jokes of shows like this they're scams hell they can ruine people's careers they did with the one girl named Nicole who was known look like pink and had that whole freak out the truth was literally what she said you told me sing pink ig they cut air right in middle of that because she found out how xfactor was stage and to make her look crazy she started freaking out and screaming in microphone about how she was upset and how wrong it was they literally cut her mic off when she exposed the truth hell look at youtuber Trevor Morgan who literally was viral on internet America's got talent or American idol idk which one but they wanted him try out so he did he said he had a panic attack in back area and cameras were hooked in his face and his mom trying calm him down get him water and a woman bent over his body told his mom hey can you um act a little more concerned and even cut out his Katy perry part of me one which he said he literally rocked it but went nah not feeling it and told him be like what they saw on his videos and told him do sexy and I know it as his second chocie was that but he said it was clear they wanted use him because saw him when he was viral dancing in apple stores and stuff
Lol. The last two winners are literally the same kind of artist . Same with Kris Allen and Lee Dewyze(where wgwg comes from ). I see youre holding a guitar . Candace Glover didn't play gutair !
seems like you gave up on ur dweam, you're pretty gud but that was two years ago...
You could have mentioned colbie calliat who auditioned with her own song, "bubbly" which would go on to be a massive hit, but she was turned down in the first wave of auditions
Wow I never knew this!!
Damn! Just goes to show exploitative these singing shows are.
damn that song reminds of my childhood, had no idea
Not sure what the strategy was for her to blow up but she was the first artist who become popular from my space. She was said to be independent then.
Really?? That's crazy lol
In Malaysia, there was a singing competition called “Akademi Fantasia” which is basically Malaysia’s American Idol. In 2014, one of the contestant’s family spent up to RM35 000 (around US8000) for the text vote every week.
She was eliminated just a week before the final.
Sape tu?
Siapa tu Aiman?
Damn that's sad and funny at the same time.
I still remember on the 5th season, there's this one guy that everyone liked, even the jury praised him, even on the top 5 vote ranking
When it was shown that he's eliminated, everyone, and I meant everyone was shocked, even the jury was confused
That is the moment where some people believed votes were manipulated
Ayyy Malaysia boleh!
In 2004 (I was in 5th grade) I used to call and vote thinking I was doing something 😂😂
We’ve all been there tbh lol
You weren’t alone its okay. They lied to us

I would have two phones out and make sure I made it to at least 100 when Sanjaya was on. My best friend did the same thing.
I would call like over a dozen times. Eventually my mom had to limit that to 5 cause it was getting obnoxious lol. 😅
Let's talk about how Adam Lambert was just another suspicious case of the most talented and popular contestant getting runner up status after months of gay speculation. It happened with Clay, David Archuleta, then the very next season, Adam. All of these men had some of their best performances on finale night, only to lose to someone the public wasn't passionate about. I stopped watching after S7 as it became clear to me that the producers were involved in making sure their winner was marketable to a particular audience.
I agree on Adam and Clay. But I think a case cpuld be made that David Cook winning lver David Archuletta is the opposite. David Cook was a really good singer. I recall that many, including myself, expected David Archuletta to win because he was young and cute and more poppy, less so because of vocal talent. I for one was pleasantly surprised when David Cook won.
At the very least, I don't think it was a clear head scratcher like Kris Allen (a competent singer) beating Adam Lambert (one of if not the most talented singers in American Idol history).
@@MetalSandman999 yep I agree with you. David Archuleta was a good singer but overall I think Cook pulled in stronger on this show. He had unique renditions of the original songs and his voice was edgier. He did better with his first album than Archuleta did. He was more like Daughtry. But Archuleta has done other projects besides recording an album. I think his Christmas album though is his biggest success. Also he wasn’t even out yet until last year. Most people thought he was just an innocent kid. I don’t think sexuality had anything to do with him loosing over Cook.
Unfortunately their end game on all of these shows is to make $ or keep an audience. The men you named are so insanely talented.
I will say this though - Clay lost to Rubbard did he not? Rubbard’s voice in my subjective opinion was beautiful. I did buy Clay’s album tho.

Shocked Jennifer Hudson wasn’t mentioned. She participated in season 3 and was eliminated at 7th place. Also I remember how popular Sanjaya was, so much he was even parodied in SNL
My brain still goes “Sanjaya, Sanjaya, we gonna light this place on fiya” 😂
And she's becoming a famous artist now even won an Oscar for Best Supporting Role from Dreamgirls
It's said that it was rigged for Latoya London to win but she was not as charismatic as Fantasia
Yes! Her, Fantasia and LaToya were in the bottom three that episode. They shouldn't have even been there
I’m surprised Fantasia even beat Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer has a really powerful voice and also you barely hear Fantasia or see her these days.
It always amazed me how Adam Lambert didn't win, his voice is gold.
@@zelinathatbitchthat’s a possibility but this isn’t the first time the runner up of a show like this became a super star after the fact
But thats not homophobia. Teenage girls were just disapointed that they couldnt no longer(dream about) hooking up with him
@@freebee8221 um that’s a weird thing to think 😳
@@freebee8221 Not necessarily true, I was a teenage girl that thought he was hot and knowing he's not into chicks didn't bother me at all lol
@@pinkfrostsaber1337 it was true for many many girls. Kindof like in the 60s when the teenage girls were disappointed when they found out that john lennon was married.
I always wondered why Lambert lost, now I know. Although, sort of glad because there seems to be some "curse" surrounding the winners, they don't really make it or become big household names. Other contestants or runner-ups seem to do a lot better, aside from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood (obviously).
Jordin Sparks did well too and she won. Her first album had 3 hit singles. But yea she didn’t have the same success as the 2 others mentioned.
@@WalterMoran Yeah, that's true! But I feel like I haven't heard from her in a long time. She's definitely flying under the radar at the moment.
It true most winners fade into obscurity. But don't most runners-up? A few have had notable success (Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert). But most names I can remember who didn't win I remember solely because I watched the show.
That raises the question: is winning really a curse, or is it just not a show that makes a lot of big stars?
@@indieopium Jordan Sparks was actually good but I dont think people knew what to do with her since the market was over-saturated with electro pop artists but she always had that distinct edge that went over people's head.
Yeah the grand prize of a record deal is super strict, limiting, very corporate and you're tied to them for years. I would say it's almost ideal to come second except for the straight prize money
Adam lambert ended up fronting Queen so honestly this worked out well.
Yes. At some point in all our lives, what WE thought was a defeat, or setback, turned out to be a blessing in disguise. 🤗
Patrick I love your work. Next time bro, please scrutinise every company that wants to sponsor you. Much love
🤣🤣
Easy for you to say. If there’s utility behind the brand and company than why not? “The Lords/own land” is the closest thing to a straight scam
My god you guys are so miserable
@FeverDream to be fair the site does say it's a gag gift and you're no actually owning the land instead it more like leasing it with no right to do anything it's the equivalent of those virtual land sites but with the added benefit that they would maintain the Scottish forest which they did do through a 3rd party but the from what I saw the lie comes from the lack of clarity of establish titles had with their sponsorships they should have clarified and monitored their sponsorships and told them it wasn't a actual title but a gag gift just like those name a star certificate websites
@@walter2201How much are they paying you and how do I get in on it
Anyone who thinks that "reality TV" is real needs a reality check.
i love patrick’s ability to conclude his video essays perfectly. that’s what makes this style of content my favorite on youtube.
Based on what I’ve heard from ex contestants on Simon’s shows, the people in charge allegedly have an idea of who they want to win early on in the show. So when thinking about Textgate, it really does not surprise me.
I always felt like it was rigged from the start
I think so too
Everything is.
Nowadays every talent show is rigged
I've watched too many of these competition shows & reality once and while it's not scripted, producers definitely have an outcome in mind and pull things in a certain direction. Because no way they would allow some meme talent to win or the same nice guy everytime. In other shows, especially first few seasons the diversity of winners and finalists is too coincidental.
Adam Lambert deserved so much more than the show gave him. I’m glad he forged his own path. One of the best modern vocalists of our time. Add to it that they kept him in the closet the entirety of the show on purpose, and he is now the front man for Queen. Beautiful.
He's ok. But what I don't agree with him is that he said he's not Christian. People who don't believe in Jesus will be lost at judgement day.

The Antonella Barba trolls didn't gain much traction, but Sanjyah did so well because of a perfect storm. He initially lasted so long because he was an attractive guy who had a lot of teenage fans. Later on, people started voting for him ironically. This got a lot of support when Howard Stern jumped on the bandwagon.
I’m so happy Adam Lambert got an amazing career. No offense to the winner but he was less entertaining and had a weaker voice imo. It really did seem like a false win imo because Adam had the competition in the bag all while winning the hearts of the public.

I LOVED American Idol back in the day. But one of the major starting points of the decline was when Paula Abdul left after Season 8. Kara DioGuardi was not liked, and they tried to get Ellen to help fill the void, but she brought no added value. And then when Simon left after Season 9, it was the nail in the coffin for many. Many viewers watched the show because of him, and without him being the voice of what people screamed at their televisions saying, the juggernaut was coming to an end. The whole Mariah and Nicki was fabricated trying to salvage ratings, but it was still struggling to try to stay relevant.
does anyone even watch American Idol anymore??
I love that you mention Tori Kelly and Daughtry not winning. One won a season of The Masked Singer, and the other got second place. They both killed it

A friend I met in college auditioned for American idol. He told us the whole process for looking for talent. It was really interesting to hear a first hand experience. For anyone curious, he did get in front of judges, but didn't make the cut or the TV cut
Wait, so did he audition on TV? Or did he not even manage to make it that far?
@@Maw0 The only auditions they air are the ones who make it past the audition, and the ones who are so horrible that they're clearly delusional
@@MickMcGarnackle Oh dear.
Yes my Sis-in-law auditioned (not on tv). She has a beautiful voice. She and her husband said they would let nutty people through but she never got through. I admit, some of the most entertaining moments were the delusional people who thought they had talent. It's just a sad truth.

I think that Adam is lucky he didn’t get stuck in that American idol contract like ultimately it might’ve been done bc they knew he was a real star not just a reality competition star
I actually thought it could be he rejected "the win" just so he wasn't stuck in the crappy contract. The door was clearly flung wide open for him to do anything after Idol.
The show was obviously geared toward singing but semi recently (I believe the 2018 reboot?) a guy who goes by ScaryPoolParty might be one of the best guitar players I have ever seen, dude plays lead and melody at the same time fingers moving a million miles an hour and a good singing voice. Lost in one of the late rounds was so disappointed. I recommend everyone check the dude out
Thank you
I remember that dude. Legendary performance
Alejandro . He came in 2nd. The guy who won went to prison for bugging his GFs bedroom
ALEJANDRO WAS THE BEST
He was the runner up, went to his show on his first nationwide tour. I voted for him and I don't even remember who the first place winner was
I’m so proud of Patrick he’s been doing so good with views for a while now
That’s why the music industry is so diluted now. It’s simply a popularity contest. Talent doesn’t matter much anymore, especially in the rap world.
Crazy i was just watching American Idol videos on Tik-Tok past 2 days . And i said “i wonder what happened to the show”. Then you drop this. Legend.

Adam deadass performed with Queens, like, come on. 😭
These shows are always rigged based on the heartstring the contestants pull and not their actual skill
It was obvious the show was rigged when they didn't let my man William Hung get past auditions.
Ain’t no way this dude had the audacity to make a video about A SCAM when his last video sponsor WAS LITERALLY A SCAM 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is a crime that you didn't say Jessica Sanchez's name, her losing her season is the biggest wtf moment of the whole show.

I remember growing up we couldn’t afford texting in our phone plans, so we’d sit around the tv and talk about who we’d vote for if we could.
I just love the thumbnail.
For me, the “rigging” started on the last performance night of Season 3 when Diana DeGarmo was clearly winning after the first 2 songs; but that year, the Final 2 both sang what was going to be the winner’s first single (a more gospel inspired song); and the producers made sure that Fantasia’s version was last thing people saw that night so they could get their story book ending! So the next night on finale night, instead of having Diana sing that song again; they had Diana sing the runner up single; but while she was backstage, when she heard Fantasia singing the winners song again, she (and I) knew then she had already lost; thus the tears in Diana’s eyes before the announcement!
Then there’s Season 6! There is NO WAY IN HELL that Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis got more votes than Melinda Doolittle! NO WAY! Like Kelly Clarkson; Rueben Studdard; Carrie Underwood; Scotty McCreery; and Caleb Johnson, Melinda won that season during her audition; but the producers knew they couldn’t market Melinda to a young audience; so they eliminated her at number 3!
And as for Season 7; Adam Lambert was arguably the MOST TALENTED contestant EVER on American Idol; but he was very openly GAY; which meant they couldn’t market him to men OR women; so there was NO WAY they could let him win!
And before the keyboard warriors start; the above is just MY OPINION!
No, I will still argue with you.
Jk :)
American Idol S3 was rigged for an african american girl to win because otherwise the reality show would have been perceived as racist. In regard to Jordin Sparks, she won because Blake Lewis was rumored to be gay and american voters were republican back then, not to mention Melinda D. smile looked disturbing and hypocrite so most fans didn't like her.
Thank you for mentioning Melinda Doolittle. I stopped watching after that season. She was outclassing everyone else every week. Only LaKisha came close.

Whoa whoa whoa Patrick, how dare you say Tommy Wiseau isn't a talented actor. He's an absolute master at the art of cinema in every aspect imaginable

I stopped watching American Idol pretty early into its run. It always felt more like a popularity contest than talent competition.
One reason I’ve stuck with Masked Singer season after season is that my perception of the singers is solely based on their voice and talent. Sure, personality is shown through how they move and are able to mime to create a character, but the focus of the competition is their voices and what they do with them.
The Voice tried to do this, especially in early seasons.
It’s beyond me how Adam Lambert hasn’t crushed that competition. He’s one of the best, if not the best voice of his generation. He is brilliant and a monument of talent and skill.
As a former member of the VFTW website, I must add that by far their most successful pick was Scott Savol from season 3. The night Scott sent constantine packing at top 6 was glorious 😆.
Correction, Scott and Constantine were on season 4.
That was your fault??? Ugh!! Me and my family hated Scott with a passion! My mom loved Constantine and so did my friends lol. We were pissed off at that.

Two things I had a coworker that tried out so you think you can dance and when she went up to the auditions in Richmond, she said it was completely rigged. It’s literally about entertainment, and a popularity contest. They literally pick out people and say that you’re gonna be get the show or you’re not gonna fit aesthetic of the show. I didn’t believe her at the time when she said it but listening to your video I’m definitely starting to think it’s true. I grew up in the era where I was watching America’s next top model every night and a lot of competition shows and I really do think now that we’re finding out more things about those typical shows in the early 2000s it was mainly to be like entertainment above anything but in the end they knew who they wanted I also feel like this is the case for Jennifer Hudson Simon Cowell belittled her,but is now an EGOT. I also remember Kelly Clarkson talking about her experience after she won American Idol and having to immediately shoot a movie with her runner up and how she did not have a good experience she did not enjoy her time which was very odd to me. You would think that be one of her happiest times upon winning the show.
Dude thanks so much every time you post it’s something interesting and new and your channel is fire!!! Thanks for real!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥🙌🏽
I also have heard it alleged that throughout the early auditioning process (long before filming the show with the final contestant pool), that contestants were preferred that can not only sing, but also have an 'interesting' back story. In other words, contestants that are say, single mothers, or were once homeless were pushed farther along by AI producers because it made for a more entertaining show (i.e. an underdog story).
That's just common knowledge, right? These types of shows are not just to show talent but to tell interesting stories. That's marketability for ya
@@jonnnnniej Sure, it has made the show more marketable. But I wonder at what cost? It would be interesting to know how many people got the boot that were actually extremely talented, but didn't have a remarkable backstory.
All these reality singing shows push a "sob story" to make the audience emotionally invested. Nearly everyone of them is going to have a contestant who has a sick or recently passed parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle who was their inspiration. Or a contestant that had a serious illness and almost died, was almost killed in a car accident, or had to face some sort of adversity. It doesn't matter how well they can sing (and don't get me wrong a lot of them could sing rather well) as long as the audience is reaching for the tissue box. While the truly talented ones who don't have a sob story would often get overlooked.
David Archuleta losing to David Cook was inconceivable to my 12 year old brain. From that point forward I stopped watching American Idol because I knew the show was rigged 😂 I haven't seen an episode since LOL
Bros back with another banger😮😮😮
a lot of teenage girls loved Sanjaya and spent hours voting lol
love these type of videos
I sat through the season with Carrie Underwood. Honestly I thought she was pretty good but I do have a soft spot for modern country music so
YES IVE BEEN WAITIN IN DIS 💯
Another banger video you can really tell you put time into these
It’s for the best to come in 2nd. Winners are put into a strict contract that usually doesn’t help them financially
I read that Kelly Clarkson had to fight to get out of her Idol contract. Then Phillip Phillips had to sue to get out of his. From what I understand it was best to get the exposure, and have the big names in the music industry see you perform and offer a contract after being voted off than winning and being stuck with the Idol contract.
Yessir another video 🔥
Only getting 45 months for 2 pounds of fentanyl is insane
That's why people like cooking shows. You can't judge someone's cooking remotely, only the judges can
Thanks Patrick I didn’t know I needed this
No established titles promo?
😂😂😂 he's just as scammy as established titles!
The WGWG claim made me spit out my coffee 😂 too funny and too spot on.
I'm a bit gutted this video wasn't longer! 😔😂
I was soo relaxed just listening to your voice 😭😂😂
U stay bringing the 🔥 vids Patrick much respect and stay on ur grind loved one 💯💪
jennifer hudson deserves a shoutout, she didnt win and she EGOTed !!!
😂 "alliance between young girls & grandmas" but *yes* unfortunately the *WGWG* was very obvious in 2019-2020. It's infuriating because Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon and Aljeandro Scarypoolparty were way more talented than Laine. It was gross how from the jump it felt like the judges & producers planted Laine to be the winner since he didn't win the 2018 season. I like the dream of American Idol, but it's heavily biased and not nearly as memorable as it was in the beginning. I'm honestly suprised it lasted as long as it did on FOX, _and_ that ABC revived it.
Just discovered your channel recently and i've definitely been binging lol so far i have zero complaints. Your delivery is clear and concise and that is something totally under appreciated in this genre of youtube content. Friendly critique on this particular video only meant for your benefit, double check your pronunciation of vehemently. Your pronunciation was like vee-Hem-ently, but I believe its more like vee-yem-ently. Again, im only bringing it up so you can go from that 99.8% awesome rating to 99.9% 😅 lol please keep doing what you do!
I thoroughly enjoy Ur channel bruv, keep it up
What about Established Titles though?
I remember Kris's season pretty well, I was a senior in high school. I actually was rooting for him that season, I felt like he had improved so much over the course of the live shows, and while Adam had been great the whole time, I ended up liking Kris more and I wasn't the only one. I wasn't shocked when he won, but if it was rigged that's VERY interesting
Absolutely LOVED this video and your channel is beyond stellar, sir Patrick 👏 👌 🙌 xx Steven
A burberry ad from Patrick? Firstly I'm buying, and secondly good job Patrick CC!!!
