Thankyou. It was really good fun there. Those so called old people are not old at all! I felt like I learnt a lot from them and want to go back soon. Tree
That's so......true! He was up for anything and very brave of him to take this on but he really did it in the end. I only got Eric to make this lovely scarf so as to prove that anyone can do it. Tree
Oh....I know, it's very precious to me. Eric is now 95years old and still fit and well. He loves watching football and cowboy films and still makes it to the OAP club once a week. X
Yes, I had actually just fallen out of bed and into the Pensioners Club as had been suffering with flu so thought if I wore something really bright nobody would notice. Eric was fantastic! Thanks for your comments and for watching, Tree
+Lizzy King Aw........Thankyou. He was so lovely to work with. It's nice to not always work with the obvious to get your message accross. Tree x P.S. here's another one you might like ruclips.net/video/PgB_F4AXltQ/видео.html
You are the best Tree, Ilove your videos! Eric is such a nice man.Lovely video! Anybody can sew but sometimes people just get intimidated. I speak from experience. Never thought I could do it!
Goodness I absolutely love Tree and this episode. Fabulous. Juss Fabulous. It reminded me of the movie Ratatouille's "Anyone can cook." Anyone can SEW.
Hello Ellen, Wow, I'll bet you were proud? Wasn't he fantastic?? He is a real natural and I'd love to get him to do it again! Thanks for watching, Tree
Hello, Thankyou for your comments, yes I think I got a bit carried away with Eric being the star of the show and not the actual scarf tutorial! Thankyou for watching, Tree
Hello Rachel, great news about you buying a Mini JL machine. You might need a selection of different needles (universal mixed sizes) and maybe some stretch fabric needles. You'll also need a short/little, slotted screw driver to change the needles but that's it really, oh appart from thread the same colour as your fabric. Start with How to make an Cowl / infinity scarf or The scarf that the 86yr old made. Don't be too ambitious when starting out, rely on using gorgeous fabric. Tree
Hello Tegan, no not at all it's 100% Italian wool left over from a Mathew Williamson Collection. (posh stuff basically) But you can make it out of any material that you like the look of. Use up old blankets or throws, I show you the techniques and you go off and create your own designs using your favourite fabrics. Tree
I love this video! The gentleman look very happy at the end of the project, and the women were very impressed! :D Tree, I love that furred jacket you have at the beginning of the video. Will you do a tutorial soon with it?
Hello,, Oo....... that is exactly what I want to hear, I may even have to quote you. Thankyou so much for watching and if ever you have ay technical questions about a project don't hesitate to ask. Tree
Yes I know, that's why I try to show such a wide variety of unlikely sewing charachers sewing for the 1st time. Also, sewing on such an unintimidating machine helps too!
Hello Maria Goumas , yes he of course had never sewn before and didn't he do well? The fabric is a designer Italian Wool that I might be selling in my online shop soon. Tree
If you have a Mini JL and live in the UK come to my Workshop at John Lewis in Oxford street on Sun 17th Nov take a look at this link facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=218600384985152&set=a.161196534058871.1073741829.159786797533178&type=1&theater
Hey, that is fantastic!! I think that is the best comment ever, ever in the world of Stitchless. Well done. I would love to see pictures of anything that you've made from the videos. If you get time would you ever email me a picture tree@stitchless.co.uk I'm so happy, thanks. Tree
I must say,, as for someone that hasn't sewn much this clearly was not a video for teaching. The title shuld have been "Making fun of Eric". Great Magic Trick however! Ok.. So Eric put his hand inside of the scarf and turned the scarf inside out. HOW IN THE WORLD did Eric do this black magic?! He clearly sewed both sides of the scarf and two angles on the end. And, Eric did this twice! hmmmm. I'm absolutely clueless as to what has taken place and i clicked on this expecting to learn how to sew an easy scarf. This should not have been a "how to video". Nothing was how to anything. You should work on your patience with people as well. I hope i'm never put in a position like this. Eric felt stupid and it wasn't b/c he did a bad job. (WHY WAS THE CAMERA ON YOUR FACE AND NOT THE REST). #Worthless 1.)Don't know how it was flipped 2.Nothing was easy but hard according to what i saw 3.) No camera on preparing the material so i guess i'll have to click on another video and "hope" it's not like this one. 4.) I can't take this! The camera man shuld have stayed home watching golf!
+Jase C What a shame you felt like this....It was a long time ago and so I just watched it back. It does film me too much but the content is there and Eric did make the scarf. He also really enjoyed learning to sew the scarf and went on to make 1 more. His family have loved watching the video too. It was a bit of fun, sometimes people take sewing too seriously......I try to make it a bit light hearted. Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback. Tree
I know, aren't they lovely and do you know what....loads of the old women in that place are so interesting and talented!
Thanks,
Tree

It's a kind of cross over dress that I've worn as a coat thing. And I made matching dropped crotch, harem style pants to go with it.
Tree
Hello,, Oo....... that is exactly what I want to hear, I may even have to quote you.
Thankyou so much for watching and if ever you have ay technical questions about a project don't hesitate to ask.
