      Thank you so much! I'll have to try some different materials for lashes sometime too. Like maybe craft foam.

    Use a tumble dryer sheet on the hair to de-static it. Omg the feather lashes!! Genius!

      It was so bitter out there! I'm used to the cold, but this last one was a bit much. I'd love to see your doll as well. :)

    I absolutely love wintery color pallets and snow themed characters she is beautiful and using the feathers was a clever idea haven't seen anyone else do that before and I love requiem arts doll patterns I've only used one from them but plan on getting more

    • @BlurredColors
      @BlurredColors  Год назад

      Thank you! I definitely like her patterns :D The one I used here has several variations and I recommend it for fantasy characters and gowns in general.
      I'm glad you liked the feather technique! I think they can be great for more reasonable length lashes too.

    Use baby lotion on the hair but water it down first put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the doll hair or use de tangle spray that’s used for kids also works.

      It was definitely a harsh one! Thankfully I was able to stay inside and be creative 🥰 It did! It was only really bad when I handled the hair. I think the cold made it worse too. The air in my house was super dry from having the heat run non stop.

    I had the same issue with the factory glue getting all over the head when removing the hair. I was able to get rid of it by using Goo-Gone, and then washing the Goo gone off with soap and water.
    I showed myself doing this in my Halloween custom doll video from this year:
    ruclips.net/video/uYnTQJY9U7E/видео.html

    • @BlurredColors
      @BlurredColors  Год назад +1

      I've used LA's totally awesome for clearing out the glue completely and regluing the hair on a restoration before (wanna make a vid of that someday). I do think goo-gone would have been quite helpful on this one! I'll check your channel and vid out. :) Thank you!

    Omg I love this doll! I noticed you were trying to say chemise but you said it the wrong way. The ch is not said like a k but rather like you would pronounce ch in the word change. I’m sorry if it came out rude it was not my intention. 😊

    • @BlurredColors
      @BlurredColors  Год назад

      Thank you!
      And nope. Not rude at all! I don't think I've ever heard it outloud, just read it until now ^^; So trying to say it tripped me up a bit. I was hoping someone might help me out lol. Thanks. :) How is the "i" said?

    She turned out super beautiful! Spectra was the best choice to create an Ice Queen! How did you manage to use Mr. Superclear when it was this cold outside?! How did it not make splotches and stuff it does if the temperature isn't right? 🥲 You definately deserve more subscribers!

    • @BlurredColors
      @BlurredColors  Год назад +1

      Thank you! That's actually a good question! I should have include that. ^^; Normally in bad weather I spray quickly outside, then immediately pop the doll/head in a sealed tub of rice to dry and bring that inside. But the weather this time was so extreme that I sprayed inside of my bathroom, fully masked as usual, and left the vent fan on. I used a large cardboard box to spray inside of as well. Then I set a timer for an hour and waited before opening the door.
      I appreciate the support!
