X definitely made Ruff Ryders.. for them to say that RR wasn't built on DMXs' back is disgusting. The label would never had gotten LOX and some of the other talent that signed without X. He made more money for the label than anyone else. He deserved a small percentage of RR for his contributions.

That's what I'm saying. That is absolutely ridiculous. He WAS the label. They are grimy for that. Everyone is playing his music thinking they are putting money in his kids pockets but the fact is that his seeds will see very very little of that money.

Yesterday I noticed my 26 yrs old son was crying during our bbq. I had to ask him why. He told me that a great artist died (DMX). He said he was his most important motivation because he reminded of his brother who has the same exact problems he had when he was on the streets. He also enjoys all of his songs. I had to watch this video to learn more about DMX. It's amazing story. RIP DMX.

RIP DMX that story he told about how he was introduced to drugs. Was so sad. He was 14 and an adult giving him something to manipulate him and get him hooked. DMX was in a lot of pain you could see it. Anyone who writes a song about their grandma you know he was a good dude. 🙏🏻

Along with God, DMX has HELPED ME stay alive. DMX voice and powerful words kept me awake after getting off work late at night. Man I remember those nights I was sooooo sleepy. However when I put that CD in and heard his voice I woke up instantly. He had an ICONIC VOICE. Growling like the dog he is. Yes He is not here on earth anyone...

Great album! People are so quick to just jump on whatever or whoever has the new hype. But his real fans always stuck with him.
DMX was one of the most influential artists in this lifetime. I wish he could have found peace within himself so he could have been around today.

@@unfinishedsympathy245 I read it awhile ago, but he was beaten by his mom, his dad was never around, lived in extreme poverty, his aunt got him drunk when he was like 8 or 9. Left home and live homeless at age 14, which is where he began to make friends with stray dogs. He was extremely intelligent and always had straight A's, until his anger got the best of him and he started to get in trouble. They way he talks in the book, he seemed to care about people and wished things could better, but he never had people who loved him, which led to his anger and troubles. 2Pac's story is very similar.

I remember when The Ruff Ryder’s anthem came out. I was 8 and I knew every lyric, my older cousins would ask me to rap it for them.
DMX was a poet and told stories when he wrote and he wasn’t a performer, all around talent. He will be missed. 😢

This man was like the first rapper I vividly remember listening to as a child. My dad was a big DMX fan and damn near look like him too. I just remember always listening to DMX with him, I even remember him going out and buying the Great Depression album. Part of my childhood is DMX and it’s hella crazy that this man is no longer with us. Dark Man X 🖤 thank you for sharing your life with us.

So much pain I had but your music was there keeping me straight and on track. All my boys ended up in jail or worse. I stuck to it with my head phones in got a computer engineering degree. Respect all the way from Haiti 🇭🇹. A guy like this should have been worth at the very least 50M in his retirement and should have been healthy and enjoying life with his fam and friends . Instead he had a bunch of kids.. worked hard and ended up not having much to show for it because of the choices that he made .His brush with drugs ended up costing him his life. I’m Puerto Rican too and growing up in the 90’s I was either listening to Biggie or DMX (both my favorite rappers). This man came on the scene with such confidence and fire 🔥 that people took notice real quick. He will be missed and appreciated for sure 😔💐

He did say his whole family was poor beyond words. He wanted to go to his grandma but his mother wldn't allow it, he wld usually go for food and had to be back. I suspect his mum had her own demons, sadly.
