I know a lot of knockoff figures are produced unethically, but if these pieces were produced in the right working conditions, they would be much more palatable to own. A lot of the designs are really well done.

If so many of the pieces weren’t so useful for customizing, I probably wouldn’t buy so many of these yeah
Part of the issue is part of the reason some of these crazy pieces are able to be made is because they're made so cheaply and unethically, producing these with Lego-quality materials and at mass-production scale would be much more expensive despite Lego obviously having more resources. And as is pointed out in the video, some of these parts immediately are showing signs of stress and I'd imagine long term a lot of them will definitely not hold up
@@fritz404 One of the well-known knockoff Lego manufacturers that is notorious for stealing designs from the custom Lego community are XINH, Lepin, Decool, and POGO.
Although their recent releases have been original designs, which is a nice step in the right direction, it's still questionable because we can't be sure whether KOPF and World Minifigures won't steal designs in the future.
The only reasonably respectable cheap knockoff Lego manufacturer is Koruit; they frequently create original designs and only copy those that Lego itself has already released; aside from that, their most recent releases, like the MoM minifigures and the upcoming Moon Knight minifigures, were designed originally by them, which is good but the way they produced these minifigures are probably still unethical.
Most of the things you own is made in a sweatshop.. if you go to fast fashion stores youre actively support slave labour, many such cases

Finally, a lego RUclipsr who doesn't diss on knockoffs
It's gotten to a point that knockoffs are such good quality in the printing department that they're even better then some $30 custom figures. Also a good number of knockoff companies, like Koruit and WM Blocks, are making their own designs instead of stealing them from Lego or customizers.

@@feather8766 actually, no. These knockoff Brands see the money in lego bootlegs and there is literally so many copies of the same figure

@@feather8766 Neither WM nor Koruit, at least in the case of their Star Wars figures, are stealing designs, all of the printing and custom molded helmets/parts are their own designs and not taken from either Lego or any third-party customizer out there.

You know, I don’t really like all of those knock off Lego companies, but I’ve got to be honest some of the stuff they make is super awesome. I don’t really want to complement them that much but dang man the detail on those figures are really impressive and the accessories that come with some of them are super cool. And although the quality is way worse then Lego’s, I kind of wish they would take some notes from these knock off companies when designing some of their minifigures. But anyways this was a really cool video Ross and I’m glad that you took the time to made it.

@@user-gh6jhs9ev2l I kinda miss Decool due to their big figures looking so cool like The Thing or Rhino. POGO also made some really cool figures in the past too
The portal effect is freaking awesome! Easily my personal favorite piece from this haul!
*Though I think I might get a handful of those Dark Troopers.
12:58 Of course the blaster is going to look similar to Brickarms because it's supposed to be the same type of gun, but it isn't a stolen design as these dark troopers are from Koruit who completely design and make all of their own figures and parts.

@@MGFCustoms Don't worry about it, I know a lot of knockoff companies do still steal designs but not all of them do, like Koruit and WM Blocks, so I just want to give credit where credit is do and not treat all knockoff companies like they only used stolen designs.
The printing quality on most of these knockoffs is quite solid. I really like them.
The real difference to the official figures is the piece design. The torso is missing some joints to the legs, some sometimes it won't fit tight. On the other hand the helmets of clone troopers sit so tight on the head, it can be a pain to get them off. And often one arm is a bit loose at the joint to the torso.
As an owner of the Mysterio with the weird belt armor piece I’ll say this: the little cuffs are so cool and great for a classic Mysterio custom (although the loops for cape with khonshu actually goes around the arms and neck)
I'm really excited to watch this, I have some of these because I went to Mexico and I bought them in markets like the Dr. Strange with multiple arms and the Sam Raimi Green Goblin
I always try to buy what I can from lego, that being said I absolutely love so many of the knockoffs out there. I usually use them to fill in gaps of characters in my collection lego might never make. I mean the green goblin and the doc ock are two of my absolute favorites and some others I’ve found are absolutely amazing. Would love to see more videos like this with more unboxings of them
I pretty much selectively buy knock offs at this rate. So many of them have just such great printing, and they are so cheap! I always swap out the head though, for some reason they can never get the heads right

I hate how Lego hasn't been doing this sort of detailing or even some of the figures. I hope we get no way home spoiler filled sets soon
Nowadays WM, Koruit and Xinh make their own designs though Kopf sometimes do knockoffs so safe to say they're their own.
The Doc looks sick, I might need to get one too.

That Mysterio is good but that another Mysterio has very detailed armor and very detailed transparent accessories
But the disadvantages of these Minifigures is that you cannot just easily removed the armor pieces mostly the heads and helmets, but it's worth it

some of the knockoffs are honestly so good. you should totally buy WM's jango fett, boba fett and the mandalorian, the newest ones they made are really really cool. by the way there are custom lego sellers that just sell bootleg lego parts like bigkidbrix (kind of a scam if u ask me).

I also buy knock offs because they look sick, the detail is incredible, they have great custom pieces, they are cheap AND lego doesn't make some of them

I have a few non official figures, mostly characters that are not available officially like kaecilius from Dr Strange, add to that these knock offs have arm and legs printing, when Lego can't be bothered to do that, I'll keep getting these figures, even if it's to upgrade official ones!
i own that green goblin & its really good quality for saying its knock off and printing is beyond amazing on it also for £3 or less it was well worth the money.

I dont use to collect unofficial lego but i got to say that there are some minifigures that are so cool, i would buy an unofficial lego minifigure just if i really like it, for the moment i just have one that is infinity ultron and its so cool

The knockoff figures nowadays are pretty much all authentic designs... they produce figures I have not even heard of for the Japanese manga as well
love to see some kind of Custom or Knock off Predator Figures, maybe classic, Super predator, Fugative, assassion and feral predators

I think if you take of the chest area and leave the shoulders on the Green Goblin, that’ll be good

I know some customs are bad but sometimes their good and cheap
I think with konshu there's holes in the Cape that go between the arms of the figure so it looks better
(Put the hole on the arm socket then put the arm in)
I wish Lego would do more plastic capes like the one on Mysterio, it looks so much better than the usual cloth piece. And the chest plate coming up from the legs was genius!
