This is a standalone expansion of a previous game Dodos riding Dinos. Super silly theme of dodos racing on the backs of dinosaurs.

Thanks so much for the review! I’m delighted to hear you love the game. Regarding the player count, the original edition has a derby mode which is more fit for 8 players. This game doesn’t include that in the rules because we already stretched the budget in other aspects and couldn’t afford extending the rulebook to include those. And regarding the errata, this is very unfortunate and frustrating for me too… especially because the text was correct in previous printings of the original version but we changed the wording to make a ir a bit more clear and that’s where the mistake came from.

If I have neither the first game nor the expansion, wouldn't it be more convenient to just buy the Dino Dash expansion only?
If you go for only one of the two, I would pick up dodo dash: more content, more play modes and overall better graphic design. The only drawback is less dinos: Dodos dash comes with 8 minis and the first Dodos riding dinos has 10minis.
