how could this have soo many dislikes?! This is such a unique and beautiful song!
russians
+nuggetwetyou dislikes are from Putin's web army
Agree with you... I actually liked it
are the dislikes reaallyyy from "Russians"?
+nuggetwetyou sure. Putin pays us 10$ for every dislike.
Real piece of art. Congrulations Ukraine, Italy will give you lots of points in semifinal and grand final.
Jamala you're a goddess!
+Gianluca Da Siena e sicuramente non saranno solo i punti degli immigrati polacchi haha!

"piece of art"????????? you can't be serious. this ugly woman cannot even sing. she's COMPLETELY out of tune.
and the song itself is also really, really, REALLY bad. what a disgrace that ukraine sends this to eurovision.......
I didn't like this song the first time I heard it, but now I absolutely love it!! I get goosebumps from this song! love from Latvia
Same
+xDanii Me too
And what does make you change opinion about this song?
Zeynal Huseynov I honestly don't know, just what's this song about and her voice (which I didn't like before). the song is amazing (':
+Khan of Games 1907 i know.
Still coming back to listen to this, one of the best eurovion songs ever. I stand by that no matter what anyone says.
Tu as absolument raison.
This one and then glow by Macon...
well, these people she's talking about collaborated with the nazis, so they kinda had it coming. But the song is really good.
agree. it was almost six years ago, bu I still feel the song.

Victor Efremov what about azerbaijani turks killed by armenians?
This is a song with a meaning. You can feel her pain in her voice. It's amazing. I'm speechless!
When 2:15 starts, I feel like I get even more chills because it reminds me of the "wailing" and the "crying" of the people who have suffered. Then when she hits the high note or whatever it's called it reminds me of the screams of those who have been terrified and in pain. Quite a wonderful piece of art.
Yes 💯
That’s what I felt, like people screaming out for help and noone hearing.
It is not crying. It is a Turkic tradition called “Sagu/Ağıt”.
I am Swiss and I cannot watch this without tears springing to my eyes.
I really love this song!! 12 points from Denmark! Welcome back lovely Ukraine!
I hope Ukraine will win. They are the kindest people on earth. Very calm and kind
+zorendj hahahah just angels
All the nation on the earth are good, it's just a song contest, keep calm
+zorendj don't know about the Ukrainians, but the Spanish people are the chillest and most fun I've ever met! This is a song contest anyway, I vote for the best song not for the countries I like.
zorendj
that doesn't make much sense though, you should only vote for your favorite song, and don't tell me there are were no outstanding songs those years.
+zorendj и сжигают полицию в Киеве по доброму, и добивают не догоревших стариков в Одессе???
Her voice is just brilliant and 1944 is the best song announced by eurovision so far this year 🎈 loves from Turkey 💞
I still think this song is exceptional. Her voice is very rare, she hits high notes extremely well, the range is amazing. And it is so emotional and powerful. Simple background music, all lies on her. This is one of the best songs ever on Eurovision - deep and meaningful. And I am from Bulgaria. Our song was great summer hit, but this is art.
Well. If Germany wants to win next year i have an idea for a song...
Lel

Or if Syria wants to participate...
DaanielOwnage Yeah and 95% of the germans
***** Nah, they were pretty much brainwashed and forced into believing it was the right way. Which resulted in the country going bankrupt and being hated. There is a song in there somewhere. Just make a Jew sing it.
I'm Australian and congratulations to the winner! I'm glad dami made it to the final and Australia was blown away that we placed so highly! Of course it would have been nice to win but I actually really liked both songs! :)
No srsly. Australia was brilliant, Ukraine was rubbish
australia shouldn't be in eurovision. unless you wanna count them as a british colony still 😂
@@nendest What country is Leon from?
I can totally see why this song won but for that you have to understand music and be empathetic. Just the instrumental music and the instrument playing gave me goosebumps. And how she ends the song is just.. stunning. She is extremely talented. She sang with so many emotions and she really felt the music, you could see by her moves. Congrats to her, I'm happy that she won. Greetings from Germany. :)
How many did UE paid you? Or you are blond? Her voice is not amazing, the tune is empty (0 bass to build the melody), only lyrics should never win. And the "Colour of you lofe" and this Australian song had good lyrics too. And at the end she just cried loudly :D I know this tune is amazing but count how long is just a melody and a playbacked voice and hpw long is her singing (without cries). It will turn out that she didn't song longly :)
We are with you Ukraine! We stand for You! Poland and England!
Thank You 💙💛
I remember when I heard this song 6 years ago during Eurovision contest - I thought it was the best Eurovision song ever, so deep and thrilling. Absolutely amazing artist and unforgettable performance. And now after 6 years... I have no words to express what I'm feeling. 😢🇺🇦 Stay strong, Ukraine.
what are you feeling? Do you actually know what this song about? It's about deportation of tatars (Muslim people), minority group in 1944 in Soviet Union by Stalin! Eurovision didn allowed to Tatar flag!

I agree with you. I think its a great song that reflects incredible lyrics for an era that repeats itself.
+Genesis Seas Finally someone who makes sense!
+Genesis Seas Yeah but we don't wanna be depressed, we want a night to have fun and forget about this bullshit.
Eurovision has become so mainstream over the course of the past few years that when someone actually tries to be artistic and writes a song which comes with a message, not aiming for entertaining the mob, he is treated with a sudden wave of hatred and offence. The truth is, Russians had the visuals, and Ukraine had the voice. Thus, this is a well-deserved victory.
+Przemysław Ornicz thank you
It's such a cheesy and cliché song though, and the singer's voice was very raspy.
+Przemysław Ornicz The song is amazing but isn't better than Australia or France or Belgium. Be real for a second.

Greeting from Turkey to our Tatar brothers. Tatar and Turkish are almost same language. I understood every single part she was singing in Tatar language.
You mean the survivning ones, there aren't many left. My language is Bulgarian and is the base of nearly all slavic languages today, also Tatars did a lot of trade with the ottomans, so its normal that they adopted many words.
@@bgcvetan Tatars and Anatolian turks are like Bulgarians and Ukrainians. Same roots
@@bgcvetan there are Tatars in Bulgaria too, Volga Tatars
@@bgcvetan İts elites of Bulgaria that adopted Slavic language not you, as well as if Tatars would adopted many words from Ottoman they should speak in some kind of mongrel language of persian and arabic, so they don't that means they did not adopted words from Ottomans. Mongrel language ?
Now that's just rude lowlife on fifth vodka.
Bulgaria gave the slavs standardised Language/Alphabet, Russian olygarchs are still angry about that historic fact, because they can't push their older brother propaganda while Bulgaria exsists.
Bulgarians came from the nomads of Bactria, They were not Iranians, they were not Tatars, They were Not Mongols, they migrated west Khan Kubrat was taught in Constantinopole and he created Great Old Bulgaria in modern day Ukraine, Oldest son remain there, second went to Volga and established Volga Bulgaria, Third and Fifth went on the Balkans, Forth was killed after failed coup.
Emotions are so strong in this one i cant even handle it. Best song, i am glad that Ukraine won this year competition :*
As an American, I was VERY recently introduced to this song, and it's performance. We are a bit parocherial here in the USA. But if you take the time to listen, and learn the story behind the song, it becomes as inspirational as our older Gospel music. It talks from the heart of the performer to the heart of the listener. Either Jamala's (or Elina's ) rendition would easily grab the hearts of America if we only took the time to listen. .
Elina değil Cemile yani Jamala
Am I the only one that thinks this song is honestly great...

Jamala has that little something that brings this song to a whole new level. Simply beautiful Ukraine and great comeback. All the best, Jamala! Your voice is enough to win the whole thing. Good luck from Romania.
It's not often that a song that shows its culture and uses its countries' language wins, good job!
Actually she uses the Tartar language - rather than Ukrainian. Even braver really.
actually it's Azerbaijani.

The people who say that the song is boring have no idea of music.
We are facing a real song, a song of truth, feeling a song sung by a great artist like Jamala, a person who knows how to convey a clear message while we can enjoy a beautiful melody. It's a shame that people think that this song is boring simply because it is not the typical pop song.
That said, I also think the song The Hardkiss or Sunsay were perfect candidates for Eurovision, but that does not mean that 1944 is not a good song.
