Awesome video, what are your thoughts on the max cooling mode after long time of use do you recommend it ? Does it affect the car or reliability overall? I just tuned my b48 330i and the temps on sport stay just the same as you .

My temp sits just under the 250 mark when it gets really hot. Kinda worries me after i have seen yours. I have an n55. Maybe i need a new oil cooler. Been like that for more than 2 years though
Especially when Max Cooling mode isn’t on, the temps will definitely sit closer to 250 for me. It also depends on the way you’re driving, from what I understand.
i see in bm3 you can adjust the anti lag rpm point, you can lower or increase, is it best to not touch these settings? pros and cons to increasing or decreasing?

So I hope some one can answer this question. I have 2020 M2C running stage 2 93 , 6 speed . Can you use anti lag on a manual s55 ? I’m waiting for proTUNING to come out with there flex fuel set up . It looks like just plug and play and there map offers the anti lag but NEED to know if it works with my 6 speed ?
I also have a 6mt M2c. It does work for it. But a lot of people don't recommend it with the crank hub spinning problem that the S55 has. I'd make sure you bulletproof it first.
So I did some testing with it yesterday, above 4K is scary and Buggy I am talking with them right now I sent them some videos, I don’t think it’s normal to have that big of a jerk it’s like launch isn’t really working, I also went pass 3 sec Mark by accident couple times let’s just say it felt like I broke something each time it kept staying in launch mode after releasing did some weird stuff. 3-4K works really good tho perfect I am just concerned about going above and doing it not sure if it helps going above those rpms for a launch still testing I am sure in next release there will be some updates for launching above 4K if this is an actual issue and not just my car I saw yours sort of did it too
@@ThicWhips Na so the problem with mine is that it doesn’t even activate on the same rpm it will go up for suppose from 5k to 6/6500k to activate like it’s lagging or something weird stuff and then it jerks 2-3 times not just once after activated

@@chrisgarret3285 max cooling mode puts a lot of pressure on your cooling system... if u don’t need it don’t turn it on it can become expensive I know from experience
These ots maps are conservative. The risks lie when you begin custom tuning and shooting for numbers above the engines potential. In my experience, I’ve never had reliability issues running any ots maps on my cars.
I have an n20 stage 2 jb4, catless downpipe, muffler delete and trans flash m2 colder spark plugs and I've rag on my car every day all day. I've ran the jb4 stage 2 since 85k and now I'm at 160k so 2 years of daily abuse and never had any issues and I mean I race this thing EVERY DAY redline all day and like I said never had any issues. Just do your maintenance when required and you should be fine
In my opinion bm3 is more widely advertised with its feature and integration, mhd has been around longer tho I went with bm3 because it’s features and access to tuners was well talked about
I hate that ppl are evening wanting to tune their German sports cars with a cellphone. Smh. Hate that xhp is cell only operation. I wish the 340 coolant temp stayed at that temp without the cooling sysmax! Swear bmws run so hot, it's cray.
bru its 44 degrees fahrenheit outside at least thats what it shows on the dash the coolant is running nice and cold from air outside constantly extracting all excess heat from engine 😂
Honestly been scared to try it myself lol, hate stressing the turbo like that; btw it’s 5 second boost hold via my MHD I believe surprised it’s 3 with bm3 seems like it’s easy to miss
@@ThicWhips I think you're in the same ball park as me. you might be hitting 10-12 psi for antilag. my target boost is 21 psi somehow. I'm on mhd stage2 plus with the jb4 on map1. I'm on a stock turbo too.

My guess is you have sport cooling mode active, I use this on MHD, pretty sure bM3 also has it, drops the oil temp.

If you have "Maxcool" mode ON that would explain why your oil temps aren't reaching operating temperature.

I’ve heard most n55 sit 200-250 you’re fine.
Especially when Max Cooling mode isn’t on, the temps will definitely sit closer to 250 for me. It also depends on the way you’re driving, from what I understand.

Normal for an N55, mine is the same. Having max cooling mode on makes it run much cooler

That’s because above 4K the car isn’t accelerating, under 4K it continues to accelerate and build boost. But this is adjustable in a custom tune

The OTS maps are better, but he's going custom tune eventually so that won't matter. Maybe the tuner he will go with only does bm3.

are you sure its 17 psi for your ANTI LAG? because the max I can set mine to is 12 psi. im on MHD.
