When I was 4 years old in 1964, my parents went out for the evening and my babysitter made me watch this movie with her! 😵😵‍💫

I grew up on old sci fi movies and this one always had my attention above all the others.

Thank you for this wonderful behind-the-scenes video. I found it fascinating. I just watched the movie for the first time today and thought that the special effects were simply amazing for that period in time. I'm impressed by how much work went into the miniature buildings in Los Angeles.

I love this film. See if they could redo the series they done later on now a days with the flying machines actually used in it, it would be amazing.

Favorite line in the movie is "Don't fool around with something when you don't know what it is." 30 seconds later...buzzbuzzbuzzbuzzBWAAAAAMBWAAAMWHAMMMMMMMMMMMM

Like many of movie history's iconic props. If they did exist, they would probably be in someone's private collection.

Love this movie. All the remakes never compare. It's a great classic. I will say given the period it is pretty campy and sexist. The social square dance really takes a peek at the times. Lights go out and the ladies know exactly how to respond with getting candles. They owe a lot to those wonen Then farm scene is by far the best. That little lady sets out a course meal for the professor in a kitchen that's not even hers. Why he would have starved if not for her. 😂 love love love that movie 🎉

Makes you wonder if humans would be able to live on another planet, because of the microbes on that world.

All I can say is they don't make great classics like they used to... a lot of the movies of today where all they care about is how great CGI looks are absolute garbage!
