    Excellent perspective. I would point out that, yes, leveling up did help shift your perspective to a healthier mindset. But, it's because you focused on improving yourself in multiple areas.
    That's to say, I've heard many stories of people (usually guys) who focus purely on their bodies. But, fail to focus on their mental health. Assuming it will get better on its own because of weight loss or muscle growth.
    But, as you pointed out, you need to focus attention on multiple skills in order to see overall change.
    Otherwise, you will still feel a sense of imbalance and stagnation in your progression.
    Resulting in giving up or re-developing insecurities despite your progress.
    Because insecurities are overcome with acceptance, not "removing" them. As can be seen with body dysmorphyia, for example. If you don't learn to appreciate your body. No amount of weight loss or muscle growth will remove the insecurity.
    But, unless you level up your mind alongside your body, you're less likely to achieve that realization.
