Adam has this voice that's like half rock half broadway. The clear and powerful broadway belting voice, with the little sneer and roughness of rock
He could definitely be in a band too!
So true
Perfect casting Adam Pascal is Roger. His voice is the quintessential rock voice. Rent is like nothing before or since Jonathon Larson was a genius. I love it.
Adam is beyond fantastic. That note at 1:46 was simply gorgeous. Love his voice. I have no words.
That one note gives me chills!
Adam was definitely the best Roger, I just love how he sings with so much passion and I love his voice
@1:48 that note is already pretty high but the fact that he decided to step it up a notch he is soooo incredible! no words
+sarakathleen Yea I def didn't see that coming and it was crystal clear. sheesh.
Tyler Collins First heard this song in the movie, but that...my GOD! I absolutely did not see him stepping up that note AND hitting it spot on PERFECT? I was FLOORED! I actually dropped my phone!
Erica Beumel I know, right? Honestly I wish they let Adam sing on set for the film, cause he would've just done this and floored every theatre.
I swear to god his voice got better with age
That Bb4 'glory' is impressive man
That note at like 1:47 just sweeps me right off my feet every time. I first heard this song in the movie, and I really was not expecting that beautiful note.
He IS Roger. I love this so much. I wish they would have recorded the tour him and Anthony rapp were in.
Coming back to this after watching 2019 videos of him and...wow. He ages like a fine wine, both physically and vocally.
Thank God for this tour...unless the OBC got back together, there will never be a RENT cast as good as this one. Can't believe it was a tour!
Once you’ve seen Adam in the role, that’s just it🌹. And he just gets better with age!
theres none that can be roger but Adam Pascal, He is amazing
1:48 He went UP with that!? As if that note wasn't high enough already... what a guy.
The best Roger that there ever was. Ever will be. The first.
I get goosebumps listening to him singing this wow
Whoever thought to record this thank you from the bottom of my heart
His voice is amazing! I always get chills when I hear him sing this song.
I'm crying. HE'S Roger... no doubt. He's just the best..he's perfect.
this man is amazing and doesn't age at all
i'm in love with adam pascal..he is AMAZING, everytime i see RENT or watch videos i get goose bumps..incredible
I'll never forget seeing the original cast in 96.....slayed. Adam was beautiful in this role.
I'm so damn jealous
I saw the reunion tour with the original cast, which was incredible.
Oh the things I would do to this man... his voice is incredible!
He is a phenomenal singer!!
His voice is only getting better with age, wow.
Oh my god, this video is pure perfection! The band behind him sounds so fantastic
Me before seeing this:
"Meh, I prefer Will Chase as Roger"
Me @ 1:46
*what the balls*
LITERALLY ME
Sascha Houpt ME TO
Well I appear to have found the club for people who think that Adam/roger is la walking piece of smoking awesome super foxy broadway boy toy. Hello my brethren. We are a wise people
I think I've spent hours upon hours these last three days listening too rendition upon rendition of this song from too many singers and no one does it better Adam.
I like to imagine every Roger who takes that high note further has typically sang it normal and the director said normal but he was just feeling it in that moment
I feel so privileged that I saw him on this tour.
Loads of respect! The OG killin it!!
His lovely voice!!
I saw this when it was in Chicago. I was thrilled to see the original cast. A once in a lifetime experience.
This fucking guy.
adam pascal is a great actor and have a beautiful voice also it;s a great song.
He has a amazing voice
God, I love his voice.
so happy to have met him im shook
They should ask him to sing for Bon Jovi if Jon decides to call it quits
He will always be the best roger
Literally all over this version.
Adam Pascal is the only Roger in my eyes :D
amazing.
@ 1:46 DEAR LORD MAN Y U SO TALENTED
I know right, when I watched AIDA, I realized Adam has such a great belting voice. (I realized too I need to learn how to belt to become a better singer).
I like this version better then the one in the movie
Ok número uno he is extremely extremely talented número dos he is hot as hell I wuld do dirty disgusting unspeakable things to that man número tres he will forever be the only roger número cuatro I didn't realize I was holding my breath till after the song número cinco ... I'm stunned número sies I my lord just stellar I'm a musical critic in Chicago I usually do small town stuff but occasionally Chicago broadway district and he is simply mesmerizing
I think his singing here is the best rendition of this song that I have ever heard. A shame the rude, disgusting audience has to scream and yell over his voice. What fucking savages.
it's strange..I prefer how he sings it now to the original recording. In the 96 cast recording he was a little pitchy...now he is still unprecise (well, it's impossible to be always perfect during a broadway performance...) in some points but the voice is ritcher and more edgy...i like it more :)
Where can i see it complete
WHAT THE FUCK @ 1:46 JESUS CHRIST. I WILL HAVE YOUR CHILDREN.
I'm ashamed to admit that even though I've seen rent on Broadway (not the original cast) and despite there being many many actors who have interpreted Roger since then, Adam is still my Roger and everyone else feels like impersonators
Same. He is amazing.
Hi I am a massive rent fan and I have been looking for a full show from the tour of Rent with the cast. Would it be okay if you private sent me the entire show?? I promise I won’t share it or upload it anywhere I just really want to watch it. Also, is it the entire show with Angel and Collins played by Justin Johnston and Michael McElroy if so I would love it please. Thank youuu :)
now this is the real roger everyone else that does this part just plan fucking sucks but Adam makes roger come 2 life
holy shit
hey :) I was wondering if you had a new trading email? I emailed the one on your site, and it said it's not a valid address xx
god he is amazing....why the hell did they have to kill rent?
One song
Glory
One song
Before I go
Glory
One song to leave behind
Find
One song
One last refrain
Glory
From the pretty boy front man
Who wasted opportunity
One song
He had the world at his feet
Glory
In the eyes of a young girl
A young girl
Find
Glory
Beyond the cheap colored lights
One song
Before the sun sets
Glory
On another empty life
Time flies
Time dies
Glory
One blaze of glory
One blaze of glory
Glory
Find
Glory
In a song that rings true
Truth like a blazing fire
An eternal flame
Find
One song
A song about love
Glory
From the soul of a young man
A young man
Find
The one song
Before the virus takes hold
Glory
Like a sunset
One song
To redeem this empty life
Time flies
And then, no need to endure anymore
Time dies
He's a good singer... but he's not acting in the slightest. I'm confused.
i think that Will Chase was better Roger than Adam
After hearing that note @ 1:47 !? Get outta here, dude.
i also think that in terms of singing technique and voice quality i prefer Will Chase, but i cant deny that Roger's role was made for Adam Pascal: his emotion and portrayal really hits the spot.
he might sing better than will, but the acting is just bad, if it's there at all. No emotion at all.
