My business is a ministry! 1000%! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years for me, my 8th full time in my business! We also become different versions of ourselves in this journey! We expand everyday! There are parts of the business that aligned in year 1 that do not in year 8. And giving yourself permission to let things go and evolve has been a big lesson for me personally, and I can see it in my clients’ businesses and lives as well.
Tobi spoke so honestly and openly. I love her willingness just to share without needing to package it as something already figured out. I feel really honoured by her vulnerability
Watching from kenya 🇰🇪 i am greateful for magnify am a small businesses owner and I am really growing gradually because of learning from magnify podcasts. Happy new year be blessed
Such a. Good episode. Glad that the reality of entrepreneurship is being highlighted. The sacrifice, lack of money. Apparently it’s the thing to be these days but it’s a lot. This craze that we should all be founders, it really is not for everyone. Sis abundance is your birthright absolutely claim it!
Thank you so much team Magnify, Courtney and Tobi. I'm subscribed to both your platforms. This is a convo I never knew i needed to hear...especially when Tobi said her business is ministry...in an instant, my whole outlook on my business, as an author, shifted. I can't believe how inward I was looking before. Thank you again!❤❤❤
This was amazing to listen to this at the start of the year. My businesses partner sent this to me and it touches everything we talk about on a daily. I Love this ❤❤.Thanks Ladies.
I loved this conversation and felt like so much wisdom was shared! I wanted to bring up one thing I noticed on the Black Ballad website which was articles and events promoting returning to African traditional worship. I wonder as a Christian how it is possible to promote a practice that is currently being used to lead so many members of the Black community away from Christ and into idolatry. That would present a conflict for me as a believer. By no means does the site have to only offer Christian content but at some point we have to recognize we have a responsibility to not encourage things that lead people astray.
I always was a church girl. Been serving for almost 20 years now. And suddenly at the end of last year and this year I feel like I lost my enthusiasm to serve that much and to be involved in church activities that much. Instead, I want to focus on my career and I have an idea for business. Still, I feel guilt that my values change, and they are not “that godly”, I want what this world is pursuing, etc. I’m scared that my values have changed and I do not please God with these new desires. Meantime, this is what I feel now and want now. Don’t want to lie to myself and pretend. Tell me, please, am I really on the wrong path and I need to revise my walk with God? Or, some other advice? Also, wanna add how much I appreciate what you’re doing. God bless you. You are miles away but I feel like your insights and wisdom are my strong support system that I cannot get from my environment. Hi from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Hey hope it’s okay if I offer my advice. Completely understandable how you feel. Please extend self-compassion to yourself. You’re deserving of that. God loves when we serve in the Church with a pure heart and I believe being an entrepreneur is still serving. Just in a different dimension. Every environment we’re in permits us the opportunity to serve and more so through entrepreneurship, where you’ll be able to be a light to those in need of salvation (rather than serving people already saved). When I read the gospels, I’m always astonished at how little it’s recorded of Jesus being in a physical Church. Rather, He is on the move networking and being a Businessman for the Kingdom. ‘The Seven Mountains’ may be worth looking into. But ultimately I’d encourage you to share how you feel with God. Reflect with Him on why you may have lost your passion. Ask Him what season of life you are in. And allow Him to reveal His plan (and freshness of love and grace) for you. Again, just my thoughts! I hope it all works out for you ❤
@@Justmythoughts___ Thank you sooo much for your advice. Appreciate it! I am open to any opinions. They all help me understand what to do next. Thank you! God bless you!
I still come here for this wisdom. It really aids me to keep up with my business.

Love love love! Good job! A fresh Christian perspective. Very much needed!
And I think my greatest challenge has been getting a co-founder that can key into the vision too.
I run a call center, doing alone has been tasking
