The bench is almost identical to the sewing bench that my mom always used with her 1950s Singer sewing machine. I now have the sewing machine cabinet and bench. Thanks for sharing your projects. Please disregard the rude comment by another viewer.

I'm glad you liked the bench! And I wouldn't have painted the rooster if he wouldn't have been so chipped, but he was a bit of a mess, lol. And thankfully one of my customers really loved him and he's already found a new home. :)
The gypsy green is pretty. It reminds me of the 1970s green.

I got that rooster from a gal along with 2 other small ones and a large one. I put all the others out on the floor (they were all perfect, but this guy was damaged) and the two smaller ones sold just the way they were, but the bigger guy is still sitting here, haha. Maybe it's time to paint him up, too!! :) And I don't know if you saw it, but I did add a clip of the pieces together at the end of my last thrift haul video. :) Anyway, thank you - and thanks for watching!! :)

Hi Rachael. I love all your projects, as usual. I’m really enjoying the colours you have used in this video, they are really beautiful all together with the stool, which, by the way, is my favourite. The rooster turned out beautiful and I love the blue. The box came as my next favourite, even with a red bottom, lol. I just love all your projects. TFS with all of us. God Bless and enjoy your weekend. You made me feel freezing cold with your lovely summery top on, it’s freezing here where I am in Australia. A few months ago I lived in sunny tropical North Queensland where we have beautiful hot weather most of the year. Its going to be a very long and extremely cold winter for me this year. I’m so not looking forward to it and our central heating is not working and no one has come to fix it yet, yikes, I’m going to turn blue and be frozen to the spot, thank goodness for electric blankets and heated throw rugs lol.
Thank you so much - I am glad you liked everything. :) And I have had enough winter to last me a while, lol. We got snow at the first part of November and it hung around (mostly) until March . . . 5 months of winter is a little long, haha. Now we are in Spring (although a few days have felt a bit more like summer) and it's nice to see the sun and wear some short sleeves! I am not a huge fan of the heat, though - so hopefully summer isn't too hot!! Hopefully your heater is fixed soon! Thank you so much for being here!! :)

You know - I really didn't understand your comment at first, and then it hit me. Nowhere in the video do I actually show the projects TOGETHER! Duh . . . lol. I usually post a picture or a reel to Facebook or Instagram with the projects in a little vignette, and they are also in the thumbnail, but I haven't thought to add them to the video itself. I will endeavor to do a better job showing the projects together in the video - thank you so much!

I like what you did, but that olive drab and orangeish color I had enough of in the 70s!! I, on the other hand, love red as in from bright to burgundy red! So I'd do it all in reds, turquoise - teal and blues. We all have our favorite colors, and that's a very good thing!!

Now this was a very interesting watch for me as I have the set of those chickens. What a transformation you gave everything. If I had to choose it would be the bench but again I truly liked all the makeovers. It’s amazing what a little paint can do to make things look like a million bucks. Seeing them together would have been nice. I have, believe it or not, a similar rooster, a red box and a stool that I need to refinish. Your techniques and color selections have given me a great starting point. I loved how you deluted your dark wax with mineral spirits. The final look was smooth and even. I will definitely be trying that! Thank you for sharing your creativity. I have subscribed and look forward to watching more!
