Having meal kits delivered to the vacation rental is my FAVORITE vacation hack. It's usually a bit cheaper than buying groceries in those small town grocery stores, too, and you don't wind up with a ton of excess ingredients that you either leave behind or throw away when you leave. Win win.
@@justafryguy Absolutely. Most companies offer boxes for 2 or 4 people, some for up to 6 people, and if necessary you can always order more than one box with the same meals in them or choose 2 of the same meal in one box if a company allows you to select your meals individually. Also, if you've never ordered from a particular company, don't pay full price. They *all* have really steep discount codes for new customers. They give *everyone* who orders a discount code to pass along to a friend so scour youtube channels like Christine's, blogs, social media, retail-me-not, etc. before you order.
Ordering meal-kits for a condo/air bnb vaca is brilliant!!!! I always spend 2-3 hrs grocery shopping after we get to our destination (and thats with packing a ton of food as well), putting it all away, etc. Totally doing this next time, thanks!
When I was 18, we went on a driving vacation from Arizona to Washington State. There were 8 people in the van and six of them were children, so finding a good place to stop for the night might have been a challenge, were it not for the Holiday Inn. They had a policy at the time that all children got to stay free. We got to stay in a 2 bedroom suite overlooking the pool for the cost of a single room elsewhere. It was wonderful!
A few years ago, our family visited the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, and Monument Valley all in one epic trip. Honestly, Bryce might have been my favorite because the scenery was other worldly and it wasn't crowded like Zion and Grand Canyon. Enjoyed seeing your family fun!
What a fun vacation! Nothing like family time together!!❤ I am always inspired by your family, and the dedication to spend quality time together. You prove over and over again it's the EXPERIENCES that are worth investing in. You also show how truly Frugal it can be to take advantage of the wonderful National Parks! I loved your commentary as you navigated that trail...and thought it probably would be calm to my screams😲😯😫🤣. Your family is a blessing I know to you, and my relationship with my son is the same. Thank you for sharing!💗
OH NO to the Christmas deco nope not happening!!! Great Airbnb for your size family with a ton of room for more. And those views are beyond amazing, absolutely jaw dropping! Thanks for sharing some of the highlights of your family vacation.
Lol! Listening to Christine on the bike trails! Reminds me of that little 4 year old whose parents mixed him up so they could hear him on the ice rink. He wee’d and whoa’ed and talked about McDonald’s, and just gibbered. Hysterical!
I am not even done with the video and I am freaking out watching Christine on the bike trail. 😱 Yikes, that is scary! Wowza, glad you had a safe & exciting family vacation, Christine. Thanks for sharing the frugal, fun & frightening (lol) journey with us.
I love watching you adventure with your kids! I have 4 (1 girl and 3 boys lol) our 3rd just started school and im starting to feel sad about no more babies, but this makes me excited about them growing up and getting to do fun things with them. We just started camping last year and are loving it, even with a 2 year old
I love you and your family so much - thank you for all of your videos, tips, tricks and recipes...but most of all thank you for being an example for families!
Wow! That park looks amazingly beautiful and y’all looked like you had the best time. I really enjoyed watching y’all hiking and biking as a family. Thank you so much for sharing, Christine.
We did Zion and Bryce in one 2 week trip and we LOVED both. Went from 90 degrees and frying in the sun in Zion to 50's mid day in Bryce. It was awesome
The part of our country that you live in is an absolute blessing! I love seeing your vacations! I would love to see a step by step video of how you pick, plan and prepare for your frugal trips/vacations. 😊 Blessing to you all ❤️
Love the vacation choice and activities. As a kid, we’d climb mountains and explore every little thing we could as a family. I have to say, your thought of that bike trail was so much cleaner sounding than if it was me 🤣. I was freaking out for you. It looked like you were flying down that train 😬😳
I love the way you thriftily plan these wonderful memories with your family and although you're putting a lot of money out up front, it is a pittance compared to what you would pay for six people in restaurants for even very simple breakfasts!
Oh my gosh, that delivery box is going to be a game changer. I never even thought of that. I always get a house during our vacations and cook, so this will make things so much easier. Also regarding the national parks you can buy I believe it's a life time pass for seniors. Also, those with special needs can get a free lifetime pass as well. My son has autism and we got our pass while at the Arch in St. Louis and its good for the whole family to get into national parks with.
For those who never really travelled on trips like these with their family they will never understand budget meals and taking your own food on the trip. It's quite expensive. Love your videos
Just to be clear, Aussie Bites are not Australian. The closest thing I can think of are our Anzac Biscuits, but there really quite different. Also, I'm 63 and have never had a dishwasher. Having said that, I can't imagine the mountain of dishes to be hand washed if every bed/bunk was occupied. Love the views from the hiking trails.
A wild ride! I was feeling exhilaration while behind my computer screen! Hahahahahaha! Christine..YOU ARE AWESOME for taking me with ya! Wink Wink Nod Nod! Peace!! You have a lovely family!!
I love how your children and husband are having a good time on the hike. Also they are noticing how pretty it is. Also they all get along and enjoy being together it is not the money you spent but the time you spend together.
As a Utah resident I must say. Bryce is and has been our favorite National Park in Utah. We have visited the parks yearly with our kids from the 1970- 2022. Always different depending on month and weather.
It looked like a lot of fun but I have a problem with fear of heights and no edge rails. Not to mention the bike trail, falling. I will leave it for you you all. I will ride a beach Cruiser bike on flat level ground or walk a path is my way of fun. Not to mention swimming.
I saw that cabin and when you said it was in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, I said "Oh, she's at Brian Head!" We stayed at a friend's cabin near Brian Head years ago and it was glorious. Hope you had a blast!
Chicken bake ftw My late grandpa introduced me to those when I was a teenager, so they’ll always joke a special spot in my heart. Those along with too many other things.
So nice to watch especially because we just came back from our trip to the USA. We went to bryce canyon as well. Did the peekaboo trail and another one there. So so beautiful!! Loved to see you enjoying it too. Love from The Netherlands👋🏻
Hi Christine just love you enthusiasm for life. My husband and I hired a truck camper in 2019 and did the utah national parks. Absolutely agree with you on Bryce it was amazing. We live in Melbourne Australia, hoping to come back and have more adventures in the USA national parks one day soon.
Watching you go down the bike trail made my body hurt. I would have been so sore. When you said it was a black and not a blue or green, I had a flashback to when I took a black diamond once snow skiing. My husband and I just stayed at a tiny cabin in Helen, Ga and loved how pretty and quite it was. We visited Anna Ruby Falls and area parks. The downtown area is cute and the people are super nice.
My hubby and I did hiking in Bryce, Narrows and West Rim (Zion), Monument Valley, and Grand Canyon with some friends in late June/early July 😎 We were in charge of the food 😄We stayed in a massive cabin in the middle of nowhere with closest hrocery 40 min away 😅
What a great vacation! Loved seeing Bryce Canyon. Omg, the mtn biking view was crazy. I don’t think I could do it, I love me some flat ground! Thanks for taking us along on your trip!
Wow just loved watching your family vacation and the prepping. We have a family wedding road trip soon so I will be packing for 7 adults in 3 car loads and a new born. Costco and Aldi are on my list. Would love to do Bryce Canyon one day too. We have Snowy Mt mountain bike trails in Australia New South Wales. We Hike Mt Kosciosco every few years for Rare Cancers so love being in the out doors and fresh air too. Also love your Meal box deliver idea to the cabin. Excellent idea.
I love Brian Head. It is one of my favorite parks. Our group improved so much up there. If you like that, come down to New Mexico and go to Angel Fire. It's beautiful and an amazing park!

So smart!!!
That is the best idea ever.
Are you able to choose the amount of people the meal cooks for?
@@justafryguy Absolutely. Most companies offer boxes for 2 or 4 people, some for up to 6 people, and if necessary you can always order more than one box with the same meals in them or choose 2 of the same meal in one box if a company allows you to select your meals individually.

If this isn’t goals, I don’t know what is. I love your choice of recreation and that the whole family is so into it.
Airbnb is the only affordable vacation home for a family. Enjoy your family vacation.

Cute you
I’ve made the same great trip. All were amazingly beautiful but Bryce was my favorite!
I think we need a video with hiking recommendations ... hiking shoes, hiking outfits, hiking backpacks, etc!
What a fun vacation! Nothing like family time together!!❤ I am always inspired by your family, and the dedication to spend quality time together. An amazing holiday for the family that you will remember for years to come. The hidden gems of the US are our National Parks. Thanks for sharing. ❤️❤️
OH NO to the Christmas deco nope not happening!!! Great Airbnb for your size family with a ton of room for more. And those views are beyond amazing, absolutely jaw dropping! Thanks for sharing some of the highlights of your family vacation.
As someone who is deathly afraid of heights the end of this video gave me so much anxiety. Glad y'all are out having fun.
@karenpool, I know right! I am too afraid of heights.
I am right there with you!
Lol! Listening to Christine on the bike trails! Reminds me of that little 4 year old whose parents mixed him up so they could hear him on the ice rink. He wee’d and whoa’ed and talked about McDonald’s, and just gibbered. Hysterical!
Loved listening to your "thought process" as you biked down that mountain! Cracked me right up! You go, girl!
I am not even done with the video and I am freaking out watching Christine on the bike trail. 😱 Yikes, that is scary! Wowza, glad you had a safe & exciting family vacation, Christine. Thanks for sharing the frugal, fun & frightening (lol) journey with us.
We dehydrate cantelope at home In our food dehydrator. My son loves it
I love watching you adventure with your kids! Bryce is gorgeous in winter. It's a winter wonderland. Just gotta bring shoe spikes.
I am so impressed with your kids on those trails
Glad you’re shopping Sam’s too.
Thanks for the Ibotta tip! I’ve saved about $50 in a month on things we already buy!!!
The commentary of you mountain biking literally had me in tears! Your trip looked so fun! Great video

"Braking is for the cool kids" needs to be future FFM merch 🤣
Bryce is one of my favorites, just stunning. Definitely felt the altitude there.
Love the vacation choice and activities. As a kid, we’d climb mountains and explore every little thing we could as a family. I have to say, your thought of that bike trail was so much cleaner sounding than if it was me 🤣. I was freaking out for you. It looked like you were flying down that train 😬😳

Oh the memories you all are making!!! Spectacular video Christine!
Amazing looks like so much fun. Wish my family would enjoy a vacation like this.
😲 Holy moly!! Wish I could do those hikes. Maybe after I get my knees replaced.
Love seeing the closeness of you family.
I feel like that's a pretty great haul for $215!!
I totally agree. I went last weekend, got half that amount and spent $30 more.
Beautiful scenery that last hike was gorgeous
Loved watching the bike ride with you! That was so fun!!

Thank you for taking all of us with you Christine! That was awesome!
For those who never really travelled on trips like these with their family they will never understand budget meals and taking your own food on the trip. It's quite expensive. Love your videos
A lot of libraries carry state park passes you can check out with your card and use for several weeks.
Thank you for taking us along. ❤️
Hey beautiful
Love the idea of delivery meals being sent to VRBO!
Oh my gosh, he nailed it! I loved Babes in Toyland when I was growing up!
I agree about Bryce Canyon. We only stayed there 1 day and we wished we allowed more time☺️
Just to be clear, Aussie Bites are not Australian. The closest thing I can think of are our Anzac Biscuits, but there really quite different. Also, I'm 63 and have never had a dishwasher. Goodness. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Watching the bike ride agitated my vertigo but goodness it looked like so much fun!
Fantastic views!!! Thank you for sharing with all of us viewers. Adore the positive way of life you all strive for. Again, thank you!
Wow, that last view was stunning!
My traveling has been limited to the eastern time zone (+Alabama), so I’m always amazed by the landscape! Gorgeous!!
Awesome Family Vacation! Thanks for sharing the activities, food, and the stunning views!!
What a beauty
thanks for taking us along!!
As a Utah resident I must say. Bryce is and has been our favorite National Park in Utah. We have visited the parks yearly with our kids from the 1970- 2022.
Always different depending on month and weather.
I feel like I should be jogging in place while watching your videos instead of sitting on my booty. 😅 you all have so much energy!!!
Beautiful
Ya'll see some of the most gorgeous places!! Thanks for sharing with us!
Brilliant idea for using that meal service when traveling! Less stuff to pack.
We did the Utah Big 5 National Parks in Sept. 2019 and Bryce and Zion were my favorite.
I just love that you included your conversations with yourself while riding that trail, I laughed out loud in an empty room haha!
Thank you guys so much for showing all the amazing views from your vacation:)
You’re amazing for riding your bike down that mountain!!! 😝👏 gorgeous view!
Brian Head is the best! Love this!
I MUST GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! So beautiful!
I love that area in Utah. I grew up camping near that area every summer. It's absolutely gorgeous!
It looked like a lot of fun but I have a problem with fear of heights and no edge rails. Not to mention the bike trail, falling. I will leave it for you you all. I will ride a beach Cruiser bike on flat level ground or walk a path is my way of fun. Not to mention swimming.
Pleased to see you touched every item!
I know what the people want!
I saw that cabin and when you said it was in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, I said "Oh, she's at Brian Head!" We stayed at a friend's cabin near Brian Head years ago and it was glorious. Hope you had a blast!
Meal kits are perfect for camping, too!!
I love Fairyland Loop!!! Bryce is my favorite
Bryce Canyon is my Favorite National Park I've been to so far.
Dave should do a video on how to tune your bike at home. taking it to a shop often is very expensive
Chicken bake ftw
My late grandpa introduced me to those when I was a teenager, so they’ll always joke a special spot in my heart. Those along with too many other things.
That trip!!!!! Wow! I wish I lived near mountains again 😭 your commentary on the trail was HILARIOUS!
Wow! Thanks for taking us along.
I love Bryce!!! Went there one time back in 2006 and was more amazed there than the Grand Canyon
Hey pretty
So nice to watch especially because we just came back from our trip to the USA. We went to bryce canyon as well. Did the peekaboo trail and another one there. So so beautiful!! Loved to see you enjoying it too. Love from The Netherlands👋🏻

Your family seems so sweet :) hope you had as wonderful of a time as it seems you did!!
Looks like a great vacation! Bryce Canyon looks amazing! Thanks for Sharing!🚵🏻♂️🚵🏻♀️😍
Christine, I have a vacation idea. Have you all ever been to glacier national park? I went through glacier park on Amtrak. It was beautiful.
Watching you go down the bike trail made my body hurt. I would have been so sore. When you said it was a black and not a blue or green, I had a flashback to when I took a black diamond once snow skiing. Amazing scenery! What an adventure, thanks for sharing your trip with us.
I loved all of your comments, while you were on the bike trail!🤣🤣
Bryce Canyon is the most amazing place. You are right. It's a hidden gem.
Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. It brought back such great memories of our vacation last summer ❤️

The huckleberry bread is AMAZING!! It was devoured in SECONDS when I bought it!
Gorgeous, gorgeous park.
