My Abuelo was stationed in Germany as well. That's how my papi met my mom. They were neighbors. My mom always makes sauerkraut, bratwurst & some type of potato. Germans love their food sour so good. I have fond memories of all the meals.
My German grandma-in-law sauteed sliced onions in a little bit of butter, then added it to sauerkraut, along with a sprinkling of caraway seeds. She nestled the pork roast in the sauerkraut and cooked it at 325 until the pork registered 165. Omg -- with mashed potatoes and chunky applesauce.
We make spare ribs with the sauerkraut. I rinsed the sauerkraut just a little so it’s not too strong. We love it! My family is military too and we had this often. 😋
You can take your receipt for those monster that were charged 2x and get it back on your card I would since so expensive I never tried those aidells sausages I see them every where but didn't know if I would like them some have casings on them that I don't care for so I get the polish sausage

My mom would cook a very large pork roast with sauerkraut that was eaten when we got home from church. When you walked inside the house it smelled so good and I was a kid! Three days later it was left over roast of pork and gravy over bread.yum. Adding pork and kraut to list. Thanks!!
I love all the Aidell chicken sausages, the Apple is the favorite, cook them up in my Air fryer all the time and put spicy brown mustard on them. YUM ❤
If you have any trouble with giving the dogs their meds with sliced cheese, we use cream cheese and our little chihuahuas love it. ❤ Oliver is a cutie!

That is a HUGE difference in price on the monster drinks vs the sparkling water. Save your receipt! When you go to Costco next, take the receipt up to the customer service desk and explain what happened. They will happily refund the difference.

That sounds so good, Sauerkraut and pork loin sounds great. I have made it with sausage ring and put in the crock pot with potatoes and onions. I usually rinse it with water to take the strong flavor and smell out. I also add some brown sugar in it to off set the strong Sauerkraut taste. You can take your receipt back and have it adjusted correctly. How is Polly adjusting to the new dog family member?

Something I’ve found about the chicken sausages is that it is so brand specific on how good it is. Not all brands are created equal.

I had a costco watermelon last week that was so ripe that the instant the tip of the knife went in it cracked open like that. Still delicious!
