I fucked up this week, range for the first time. Unloaded, mag out bolt out, with range flag in. But got chastised by a member because I had the rifle facing down range. absolutely my fault. He was pretty cool, after I explained I was brand new and had learned a very valuable lesson. Please be kind, you may have been taught, by family l. but some people are completely new
@megamunky Sorry, not the best description, but I had my rifle facing down range on the table, no bolt, no magazine and not in the rack whilst the range was closed and everyone was down range, changing their targets. I accepted my part in the mistake and owned up to it, but ultimately, it was a range officer's mistake.
Mate.. I am 10000% for safety and following the rules always, but the SSAA treats people like children and this has put people off the sport, this is why a lot of people especially in QLD choose the Shooters Union or even other clubs to join.
🇦🇺😎👍The SSAA indoor pistol range at west Ipswich forced its members to take the experimental covid injections so they could participate in competitions . I was a financial member at the time and I was denied access to the range until I could prove I was injected…
So yes you do need a licensed but if you don't have a gun licence and you wanna learn about the rule's and how to use a gun you need a licensed person to help you otherwise you can end up in so much trouble
if you are unsure, leave your gun in the car and go ask questions then get started. The rules ARE the rules, I have seen only a couple of folks bend them and its no good for them. These rules for QLD are pretty much the same for Victoria as well. Hint, take a high vis vest makes it easy to see you on busy days.
Seriously shut up. If your rifle is affected by racking like that, then maybe you should do the action screws up. Shot PRS and recreational ELR for many years now. And everything from $500 to $10,000 rifles didn’t give a damn about how they were stored. Some things you’ve just gotta relax about mate. It’s not that deep
I really like the close attention to safety in this video. All shooters know the rules.

I don’t understand what you did wrong

Can anyone please explain the rules re the 'clothing' required. Thanks, Greg.
So you don't need a licence to handle a firearm but you need a licensed person to help you to show you how to use a gun

100% agree these videos are for my students doing my safety courses I am a life member of shooters union
Doesn’t help when each individual ssaa range has their own set of rules. And are very different.

Don't use a rack like that. You should never rack your longarm against the barrel. Ever. ..not if you are serious about accuracy.

@EnkeiTenjin that's why your groups are 4in at 1000 yards and mine are less than 1inch
