  • Here's how you can add 'vintage' atmosphere to any b+w IN CAMERA, even in mid-day SUN!
    It's a great digital camera hack to understand - and can make a boring monochrome more interesting.
    This trick works for atmospheric Portrait photography, Architectural photography, Landscape photography.
    It's a variation of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) BUT we're not going abstract - we want to burn the subject onto the sensor to maintain structure. The intentional movement is confined to the final 1 or 2 seconds of the long exposure.
    PS- Sorry about the Alfred bit in the video - but I had my reason lol

    Now you can't just throw that out there and leave it. You've created the character (sorta like Heisenberg of Breaking Bad noir). So, from this moment forward i'll only address you as "Zwollenstein" and I expect the title of the channel to be "Zwollenstein - Lone Shootr". Please put it up to a vote Sir. ( ; - ) jk - sorta Btw, pretty daggone cool video.

    Yeeeeeah, somebody putting out a 'positive' Pictorialist vlog. Every vlog/documentary I've seen that does that pictorialist/modernist, Steichen/Steiglitz transition essentially pans pictorialism as pretense and not using cameras, the 'modern' invention as they should be.
    I went back to film just because of the over-clinical look that digital creates. Its really ironic that people then turn to filters to create some 'feeling' in their photo's.

    • @loneshootr
      @loneshootr  Год назад

      Yeah to be honest I get a bit bored with what 'genre', what 'style' and all the rules and pigeonholes we put on photos really. I just like what I like - happy in my lack of sophistication.
      Film is my happy place though I have to ration it due to costs at the moment, but the more AI takes over - the more I want to use film.
      I can see a time very soon when I shoot film and nothing else.
