    This beautification works are a slipper shot to the citizens. This just proves that the govt can keep the city clean and beautiful if they want to, they just don’t do it. They just transform the city overnight for meetings like this. Hope they maintain this atleast

      What about people or they will just think about their house and litter the country

    • @iamhusain94
      @iamhusain94 Год назад +5

      If there are strict laws and fines the littering/garbage situation could be easily avoided. Govt. at all times have the capacity and resources to transform all Indian cities not just New Delhi or Mumbai.

    when the G20 delegation came to Pune we had a similar situation. The city looked like Singapore for 2 days. Now it's back to being a quintessential Indian city. Unkept and ignored. Like someone mentioned if the political will is there, we can have well maintained cities, but we end up giving the rein to corrupt unskilled officials. Get the right people on board and our cities will look just as good as any big city in the world.

      it takes funds to daily do that if public itself maintains cleanliness then it would be good

    Delhi me encroachers ko seriously hatana bhot zaruri hai .. aaj ki date me itna bhi garib koi nhi hai ki 2000 ka room rent pe na le ske ..these are their tactics to save money and spend it on luxury like mobiles and daru

    • @AKASHSHARMA-xp4ig
      @AKASHSHARMA-xp4ig Год назад

      Exactly on point. Ye log galat tareeke se zameen par phle kabza kar lete h ye jante hue k ye zameen inki nhi h phir jab hatane ki baat aati h to apni gareebi ki duhai dete h. Ek aam aadmi apne hi sheher k andar sari zindagi mehnat karne par bhi 100 gaj ka Ghar nhi bana pata aur ye log galat tareeke se zameen daba k bade Masoom bante h k ab hum Kahan jae. Similar thing is happening in Haldwani. Gareeb har jagah rehte h iska ye matlab nhi k sab gareeb Jake kisi bhi Khali zameen par kuch bhi bana k use apna bana le. You have a point k itna garib koi bhi nhi h jo room rent par lekar izzat se na reh sake.

    After watching this level of development in Delhi for such a mega G20 event,I am 100% sure india's any top city cant be even close to china's 4th tier city .

    • @akrishnan1382
      @akrishnan1382 Год назад

      Agreed. How many Indians would like to live in India like Chinese in China? There are many countries which impose strict penalty for spitting or littering? In India, if any government of civic body imposes people will vote against that government. Indians clean their houses and throw the rubbish on the streets. Unless we raise our standard of cleanliness in public space nobody can do anything. We can see restaurants or shopkeepers dirty their own front side without even bothering whether their customers have to pass by the dirt thrown by them. I believe this culture was ingrained by us since independence as civil disobedience was practiced during British raj. We allowed the same culture to continue without educating people. So, we need to work hard to educate people first. Ideally, we should scrap the civic bodies which are very corrupt and inefficient. The best method is allocate the responsibility of maintenance of our cities by retired military personnel. They maintain cantonment area very well.

    It's embarrassing how the most populated country in world doesn't have a single city to host a international event. A small country Indonesia hosted G20 without soo much drama.

      Lol. Indonesia is not small country by any standard. It is 2/3 size of India. Have population of 270 million and Economy bigger than 1 trillion. GDP per capita is almost double than India.
      They also prepared for it. Just our media didn't cover it. Yes,
      It is shame that we should have cities capable of great things. I agree on that point.

    Do not just the nice places which might be visited by G20 delegates. Show other places like Old Delhi with its narrow and dirty roads with no consideration for road crossing, extremely chaotic and dangerous traffic and almost non existent greenery. Some of the things being done seems to be ad ho

      Do not just show the nice places which might be visited by the G20 delegates. Also show the other not so nice places like Old Delhi with its narrow and dirty roads with no consideration for pedestrian crossing, chaotic and dangerous traffic and very little greenery. Some of the things being done seem to ad hoc in nature and most likely not part of master town planning. To transform Delhi or any other city into a world class city you need to have grand vision, super town planning, flawless execution and disciplined and patriotic citizenry. We are lacking in all four. Let us hope things will improve over the years.

    Everything will go back to gandgi after the event. The main problem in India is the extremley poor ongoing maintenance of projects - be they buildings, gardens, parks, trains or footpaths. They are made once, then forgotton about.
