    Suggestion: make a rake attachment for the backhoe. It would also be beneficial for seeding grass.

      I have thought about that one many times and several versions. Definitely something I want to build for myself. Raking the leftover smaller branches/sticks is very time consuming and just bunch up with a blade or harrow. Keep an eye out for that project to come, there’s a good chance I may do it this season.

    Watching those chickens run around on time lapse is hysterical.
    I mean they’re not doing anything different, they’re just doing it faster 😂

    Those chickens can always cause a person a great deal of trouble. If they weren’t so darn good to eat and their eggs didn’t taste wonderful and not to mention how well they fit in with most recipes. I hear you, but it looks open, should be more conducive to getting them to stay out of the tree.😊

I’ve enjoyed watching the ranch grow and it has been a wonderful experience. Congratulations on all your accomplishments and I’m happy to have been able to take part in it all as it has came together into the awesome Mountain Maple Ranch. PS. Have you considered wind turbines for power source?
    Seems to blow alot at your home.

    • @MountainMapleRanch
      @MountainMapleRanch  3 месяца назад +1

      We have monitored our wind speeds in front of the shop for the past 2 years and we don’t usually see wind speeds above 8MPH on avg. Occasionally we have weather that brings 20-30 MPH winds. Almost all of the wind turbine research I’ve done indicates the need for winds above 20 to be efficient. at our avg speed, most of the turbines would only be in the 5-15% efficiency range meaning 2000W turbine making 100-300W. Just not worth the effort for us right now.

      No they were rehomed over a year. They started to kill chickens, turkeys and baby goats. Not Aspen but Chloe has that Akita and her and Aspen got into the animals pretty bad during the night.

    • @MountainMapleRanch
      @MountainMapleRanch  3 месяца назад +3

      The dozer will get looked over in the winter. It will be a 30 or more day repair and I don’t have that time. Next year when I cut in new roads to access the rest of my property I do want to have it fixed.
