    LLS Hulk is a lifesaver. I'm similar height (before) hoping to do LLS, but my concern is proportions aswell as other things. I reckon 3"-4" is perfect for proportions
    I can push it to 5" and still be reasonably OK. But wanted to know what 6" looks like...it will definitely push me into the "leggy" territory.
    But I can wait till the Hulk finishes and see if proportions are reasonable.

    Brian has disappeared from social media and there have been no updates about him for a long time from live life taller.
    Brian and Brokenbonz were both the poster children for quadrilateral limb lengthening. They each got an amazing amount of PR and media attention for live life taller with the ungodly height gains they each achieved.
    But neither one seemed to have achieved truly normal walking or range of motion even over a year out from surgery.
    And it’s not like these are the kind of guys that don’t do the proper rehab. These guys are both rehab and fitness machines! I worry for both of them that they got a little too ambitious gaining 6-7 inches of height.
    Hopefully everything will still work out for them.🙏
    Maybe it just takes two or three years to successfully stretch out all the soft tissues when you do this level of extreme quadrilateral lengthening? In retrospect, if each of these guys had just done 2 inches on the femur and 2 inches on the tibia, they would probably both be walking normal now and feeling strong again. And still would have gained a substantial amount of height being 4 inches taller. I think anything beyond that, the risks outweigh the rewards unless you are like 5’3” or below. Praying that both of these guys can eventually fully recover so they can be happy in life and not resent their decision to go for such extreme gains.

      Dear @soulstice69,
      Thank you for your comment. To clarify, these individuals are not influencers; they lead private lives, and we respect their need for privacy. We cannot request videos from them frequently. However, we will create recovery videos during their intramedullary nail removal procedures.
      This was also the case with Phoung. Many people inquired about Phoung Lee's condition. After 2 years, when he came for intramedullary nail removal, we made a recovery video. You can watch his recovery journey after Quadrilateral Lengthening here:
      ruclips.net/video/pCgn-yFyP1k/видео.html

    • @soulstice69
      @soulstice69 3 месяца назад

      @@LiveLifeTallerThank you for the detailed response. I remember they both had a presence on Instagram and were posting about their journey and progress. I admired them putting themselves out there for others to learn more about the process. There recieved many supportive and positive comments, but also some trolls that would leave ignorant and insulting comments. So I definitely understand them deciding to continue their journey more privately now. Social media is full of scared people who hate on those with the balls to take risks.
      It obviously takes some time and hard work to recover from 6-7 inches of height gain. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it! I look forward to Brian and Dynzell's recovery update videos when they return for nail removal. I have a feeling they will both have the last laugh when they resurface looking like superheroes!💪
      Btw, Phoung Lee's recovery update video is phenomenal and so inspiring! His dancing and movement is a true testament to the ability to recover 100% from quadrilateral limb lengthening with patience and hard work! Congratulations!!

    • @payamtheone5185
      @payamtheone5185 Год назад +10

      I wanna know too, but as for as I know most patients says you walk fine after femur lengthening.

    • @peppesgabello
      @peppesgabello Год назад

      Depends on your previous tibia to femur ratio. In the video says that he had 84.3cm legs (without counting the foot so it's usually 6cm more and round his LBR to 90.5) well his LBR is 90.5/182.5 it's an LBR of 0.49 and it's average. He looks shorter because when you add so much mass to your legs they look shorter, also he has 194cm wingspan that makes him look like ''an ape'' and disproportionate.
      Returning to your question I think he started with a Tibia to femur ratio where his tibia was longer, usually the tibia to femur ratio is 0.80 or 0.78 because your femur is 20/22% longer than your tibia, and it will always be. When you start from a 0.84 or 0.85 (your tibia is quite long compared to femur) it's better to lengthen the ''shorter'' so in his case the femurs. Supposing that his femurs were around 46cm and his tibia 39cm now with 7cm on his tibia his ratio is nearly 1:1 making his femurs so short that is super noticeable. If he had done just femurs for 8cm his ratio would have been 0.72/73 that is unnoticeable, yes you have a longer femur, but as long as you're wearing anything, even shoes with super small sole, it will be balanced, maybe you could see that the femur is long if he's naked but who's actually looking at them?
      Said so, the starting point is what determe if your proportion will be good or not, I honestly think that 10cm on femur would be noticeable for most people with a trained eye, but if you can go from 165 to 175 and you only care about height that's great, put on some high sole shoes so your knee cap will be shifted up and you're good to go, no one will care or notice.

    • @MrRobertomendola
      @MrRobertomendola Год назад +2

      @payamtheone5185 I think in Asia a lot of people have their femur longer than tibias. I imagine 5-6cm to be proportionally ok in comparison to tibias. Also the tibia is fully exposed. At least with femurs half is covered unless ur naked.
