There are only a few real virtuosos of guitar in the world. Kaori Muraji is one of them. She is a magnificent musician in every way. I adore her.

Brava Maestra- very heroic attempt. Under immense pressure to perform pieces considered virtuosic standards. Can appreciate her use of extreme planting of the RH fingers for control. I've never mastered this piece, so admire her. Maestra's tone is very clean but harsh, she struggled with the first thirty second note phrases in Section 1. But she kept going, didn't break her momentum. Several sloppy sections thereafter, and the guitar was going out of tune especially during the third and final section that goes back to D minor. Overall, I think Maestra excels in the Spanish repertoire and her passion for it really shows. Baroque is totally different. Julian Bream has written the Chaconne is like driving a standard shift car- it ebbs and flows, requiring pacing and understanding the music. Russian violinist Viktoria Mullova has an excellent rendition of the Chaconne. Worth a listen for guitarists who want ideas. Thanks for posting this!!!

Una obra tan maravillosa destrozada y tocada como a hachazos. Para tocar La Chaconne se necesita sensibilidad, no virtuosismo.
