  • In Fall, your pitcher plants may look sick, and that may look like you have pests. But it is actually the consequences of summer heat that you are seeing appear.

    Interesting to see how different your N. (mollis x veitchii)xveitchii is from mine (also Wistuba, but an individual seed clone).

    I envy your windowsill... it (an estimate 4 -5 meter s x 0,50?) . Thanks for the update! It was fun to see some plants I didn't expect on a windowsill.

    I liked the baby D. binata peaking out at the window. Green lace wing eggs and a nematode treatment really helps eliminate pests around Neps. All the other carnivorous plants are sticky; all over. Nice video Remy!

      In fact, the problem is probably the Thrip cure I used that poisoned the plants... I'll never use it again.

    Hi i had an adult ventrata shipped to me over 5 weeks ago , i had to repot it 1 week after receiving it , since then its been growing new leafs with tendrils and buds , its got tendrils and buds everywere but isnt growing pitchers ? The conditions for it are good just wondering if this is normal ? Its potted in 50% sphagnum 50% perlite humidity 70-80% 12 full spectrum light in grow tent

      @WindowsillNepenthes  10 месяцев назад

      It's possibly still recovering or adapting, your humidity is good so except a lack of light, it can just be that you have to wait 😉 I know it's the hardest. 😄

    this season ia the best for me!
    Great smoother lighting and especially no more intense hest.. from comstant 30-35°C during summer, day and night, to 20- 26°C this autumn 🤩 best conditions.
    Autumn and Spring will be my best seasons

    Really nice video :) love all your plants!
    Where i am, its reached the time of the year where we wont see another sunny day until Spring and the days will only be 5 hours long, and super cloudy. Im gonna purchase a Sansi grow light in the next few days, as the days shorten all my neps either slowed down in making the pitchers they were working on, or just stopped entirely. The pitcher buds arent flimsy and weak though so theyre not killed off yet!
    Thabks for the video, super helpful :)

    Great video man, do you know information on chopping the stem or trimming leaves to get lower nodes to activate? I’ve been thinking for house nepenthes it might be better to try to train them to be more bushy but information is hard to find

      @@WindowsillNepenthes some do but some dont. But I only got those in april bare root. Plenty of light, humidity at least 70%. Some started pitchering 1 or 2 months ago but not all of them. The ones that arrived in pots and weren't repotted continued to pitcher except one of them

      @@WindowsillNepenthes yes, I have It looks ok but we had a heatwave in september so maybe the cooler temperatures now will help. I dont have a lot of temperature drop at night, it is 18-19C daytime, 16-17C nighttime in winter. As long as the leaves look healthy I will be patient and look how they perform a full year round. Haven't had them in winter time yet.
