Hey, thanks Liam! I am still releasing and making music yes : ) Have some unreleased music that will be coming out this year! Thank you for listening, really appreciate it. ☺
This is a straight-up banger. I get a Tycho-esque vibe from it, but with more of a synthwave twist. One for the favorites list for sure! I'll be spamming my friends with it :)
Hey Ves, thank you for such a cool comment. I really like the idea of it being grounded yet floating - I feel like that sometimes and to hear you say the this song made you feel similar is really cool. Cheers for listening. :)
Woah. This basseline is just the equivalent of a sunny day in winter for your ears. You just close your eyes and let the sun heat your skin, or watch the light blue sky through the window. Everything disappeared as you slowly start to levitate. Love this song ❤️❤️
Hey Julien - sunny days in winter are a beautiful thing :) I'm glad you liked the bassline too - to be honest for me it was a pretty complicated bassline with a lot of changes and I thought about making it simpler (to make my life a bit easier) a few times when I was making this song - I'm glad I didn't now : ) and I really appreciate your comment. Have a good day dude! Respect.
@@NiElsir I really should have added that this track is absolutely fantastic, completely unique sound, lovely production, an all round slice of brilliance, you bring something positive to the world with such beautiful music for which I am extremely grateful. PS - still listening on repeat, my normal track lists are deep house, trance, progressive etc but this has really caught me. Thank you once again.
Thanks Jamrois, really happy after reading this comment - I worked on this song for a long long time and tried to make it into a whole journey of sounds - the fact you felt it was unexpected is really something I am glad to hear : ) appreciate the thoughtful comment. Cheers
Just found this via Definition of Chill. Absolutely outstanding work. It's such an evocative tune, haunting yet hopeful and fills me with nostalgia. Same goes for copiloto. Keep it up man, you're super talented :) You should hit up the boys at Anjunadeep with your tracks. Your music would fit right in with on one of their compilations.
Hey Miko. Really appreciate you coming over to my channel after hearing my music and for leaving a really inspiring comment. It means a lot to know that the song instilled these emotions in you. Thank you dude, I'll check that out. Have a great day Miko! Big Respect
Happy to hear that - when I made this song I was pretty stressed out and I remember the song kept getting longer and longer but it was meditative to work on it, I guess it was helping me at that time too. Glad it is able to help your mood also - cheers for listening and thank you! 😀
Hey Jordanas - yea! I really struggled to motivate myself through this song and finish it because I couldn't get it sounding right and I kept abandoning the song and procrastinating finishing it - that was the motivation behind the name Akrasia : )
Thank you for finishing the song man. It is definitely a perculiar sound and that's what makes it stand out. Personally speaking, this song makes me feel very grounded in myself and focused on what needs to be done. It has power and serenity to it. I can't really explain it but it makes me feel a calm but powerful sense of confidence, being and purpose. The world doesn't matter. My anxieties, worries and insecurities melt away as I regain perspective on my identity and destiny in this world.
Hi GearzMonkey, no need to thank me - it's you I should be thanking for listening to the music and for leaving such a thoughtful comment. I am taken aback by what you have described feeling while listening to the song - I can't believe it could provoke such positive feelings and I am very happy that it has had this effect. Thank you for sharing that and I hope all is good! Cheers : )
I am glad you found your way from there to my channel, I appreciate you coming to check out the music and the comment dude. Really! Thanks a lot and have a good day 😀 Cheers
Ni, I really love this man. And I feel your pain when you're trying to get a solidified idea together and it's being elusive, but this turned out great. The 6 + minutes don't ever feel long to me here at all, but that can be a hard call if you're not using some genre specific paradigm to guide you. I am sometimes way too conscious of the elapsed time rather than letting it go where it will, because I have the same fear that it will become boring to the listener. One way I've found that helps me out with this came by a discovery of how differently I feel about my music when I'm playing it for the first time for someone else. Like, I listen to it almost through their ears and I discover parts that i hadn't noticed before dragging on or not right in other ways. Now I play a little trick on myself to imagine a person listening with me while I'm in the final stages and that seems to help me know where I could make improvements in the song that I might otherwise be missing. Anyway, this is great dude. Congrats on a beautiful track
Hey Tim! Thanks for popping over to my channel btw - I've watched a bunch of your videos and always admire your sounds and progressions : ). Yea, it's a funny physiological effect for sure, I have actually tried doing what you mention about imagining someone listening to it but It never quite works the same for me when I just imagine it. I have tried a few more tangible tricks in the past too like only listening to the song from the next room, or pitching the whole output up or down, speeding it up/down also - listening via TV and Phone speakers - or listening at very low levels (this actually helps me to imagine things that are not there and can sometimes give some guidance to what might be missing - or what might just be way too loud and awful 😂.
You make amazing melodic music are you still making more?
Hey, thanks Liam! I am still releasing and making music yes : ) Have some unreleased music that will be coming out this year! Thank you for listening, really appreciate it. ☺
