Michele, I pay a PGA professionally trained instructor to teach me. Great guy, but you are light years ahead of him in teaching technique. You are very generous with your time and instructions. This one was the best among many. Much appreciated. Walk in beauty.
I like what I learn from you Michele and it has truly improved my game. You have the best utube instruction that’s clearly explained and easily understood.
Totally agree. Brevity is the soul of wit .. AND golf instructions. Brilliant. Even I can perform this. I think she just transformed .y swing which resembles a rusty old steam shovel, something they used to build the Hoover Dam, into a fluid athletic maneuver which will help me become a birdie machine. Thanks.
This is pure gold. I have seen countless instructors including golf digest top 100 and $500/hr Leadbetter guys and watched all these other videos where they try to explain shallowing the club. I finally figured it out by doing exactly what she explains in the first part of the video where you pretty much have to “lay the club off” at the top and exaggerate to make your body understand how behind you the club needs to get in transition. Watch any PGA tour pro and they have this move
Michele, I'm almost 67 years old. I've attended golf schools and have taken many lessons over the years. This is the best instruction I've ever had regarding how to get the club into the slot. I watched this last night and just came back from the range. I was hitting the ball much more solid, got the ball higher and gained at least 10 yards with every club. I still need to work on the feeling of this in my backswing, but when I got it right, it was amazing. Thank you so much! I wish you success in your channel. Stay well and be safe.
From a physio standpoint, It appears that the left forearm pronates slightly and left wrist flexes slightly while the right wrist extends which then results in shallowing the club. You’re a good teacher!
This is fantastic... I figured the "Bowing" of the wrist by trial-&-error, but you've nailed it. I've subscribed, clicked the notification and can't wait for the next lesson. :)
THIS is the best shallowing tutorial on the internet. The explanation is clear. The voice is crisp. The delivery is on point. The editing is wonderful. A true gem. 🏌️💎
This is the best explanation and how-to for shallowing out the club I've found, and I have traveled to the far corners of RUclips. I have struggled with a pull/pull-hook for a long time due to a slight to more than slight over the top move. This little bow of the wrist at the top has instantly improved my ball striking, getting my swing back on plane. Furthermore, now I know why it's been happening. Thanks Michele!
Hi Michell your videos keep me going ,having struggled to play golf most of my life ,i now spend time practicing , where i still get enjoyment from watching your videos many thanks Noel
you present your lessons so well! succinct and applicable. I cant wait to use the water bottle drill. The more I watch your lessons the better I get. I'm 66 yrs old and playing the best golf of my life! I give you credit for some of that. Thank you!!
Hi Michelle, I wish I had met you 40 years ago. This has been a mysterious concept to have a technique to actually shallow the club.I can vividly remember my Leadbetter book talking about steepening and flattening your swing. I never really could figure out how to shallow the club. Thanks for your excellent instruction!
Honest and easy to follow instruction. No blah blah blah as you can get with some inline instructors that just like the sound of their own voice. This lady appears to be a very good instructor.👍
The way you demonstrated with your wrist - how to shallow the club and then turn your hips is the best instruction I have ever seen - as it relates to how to hit the golf ball. Thank you for your information and demonstration.
Hi Michele. I loved this video on shallowing the club. I have watched many other video’s from top teaching pro’s but I found your technique to be so much easier to follow. I immediately subscribed to all your future instructional videos. Thanks
Thanks Michele, That feels really good starting the down swing. It keeps my right elbow in close to my body. and my hands in which helps stop releasing the club early. Great drill!
Wow, I've been running into all sorts of problems on my swing and I knew it was something small but I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong. Messed around a bit with this drill and it made all the pieces of my swing finally click together. Such a relief after weeks of confusion. Thank you so much!
Many thanks Michele. I am a new commer on golf just about six months. I love to watch your vidios. They are easy to understand. I have learned much more from your vidios than from my coach. Thanks.
Thank you for explaining how to shallow the club. Others talk about it but you explained it. Been doing the drill and found it worked out on the course when I got it right. Another excellent teaching video.
Thanks so much for this video. Feeling the right shoulder turn out rather than down seems counter-intuitive, but has helped me get my down-swing on plane.
hi ms.michele.i really like and admired your simple technique how to do thing right.i thank you for the motorcycle drill so to speak.am getting the benefits of your lessons.am very happy i watched your bideo instructions.i am 77 yrs old and hitting the ball as cleanly as i can with your tip.
I've been struggling with that for a long time. And I see a lot of people are using the wrong ways to achieve that even some golf coach do that too. This is the best video ever. Big thumb up. Hope you can post more videos.
i was taught a more complicated method which appears to be more dependent upon timing. in any event i love this move it brings things together fairly easily and there is much less to think about. Michele is a gifted coach.
I found this short video was just as good as Jon Kim-Moss's one on the same topic. On this topic you are both the best at explaining it in a non complex manner in a short space of time.
Stay well Michelle as courses and range Re opens, looking forward to more great teaching n tips content. This has to be the best explanation on swallowing the club ever. 😇👍🏼
Great tip. Golf is about rhythm and feel. To shallow golf on down swing is very illusive to amateur weekenders. Upswing really does not matter, all boils down to down swing for impact. The best way for Weekenders to “shallow” I find out is that to bring back one’s right arm back to your body quickly the moment you start to initiate down swing. Both Ben Hogan and Bobby Jones said In their books. Just drill the right arm back close to your body, you will surely shallow the club and down into the “slot”. Think of the downswing as if you are using your right shoulder to draw the bottom half circle ⭕️, clockwise, from you the player’s perspective.
Thanks Michele for this lesson. I’ve taken notice of your other tips but this one has made a real improvement..I realised that I was cocking my left wrist, probably a carryover from pitch shots. It took a bit of time to adjust but now my drives are going straight down the fairway and my field woods are behaving very nicely now.
Great lesson Michele!! I have really improved my driving with your previous lessons. I’m hoping to do the same with my irons. Please stay safe out there🙏🏽

Will do my best to help. Thank you for watching.
Aresbe, that the whole point init? So he can continue teaching you?
Great
Couldn’t agree more. Best video on the three common mistakes in shallowing the club. I am good at all three.
I like what I learn from you Michele and it has truly improved my game. You

I have watched tons of tutorials on “shallowing the club” and this is the most intuitive and easy to understand. Great video!
Thank you
Agreed!!!!!!!!!

I agree with all comments that this is the best explanation "shallow the club" I have seen in RUclips! Thanks Michele
Game changer! I love the bowing the wrist and touching the wall!🎉
