It's funny how the boss' first phase is tougher than the second, and it's all because it doesn't stop attacking. The window between attacks is so small that it forcefully teaches the player that the solution is to evade and punish the last attack.
first phase attack isnt that hard to parry tbf. She always alternet high/low so if you know the first one you know the rest. But you take chip damage without perfect parry so it's not worth it.
I love the way they designed those twin flashkicks, they give color to the only area which they use to attack, which is their legs, which is WHAT you should focus on.
I knew this game was good but oh my god this one brings retro to the new age and it’s an absolute masterpiece. The soundtrack, the commands, I hope there’s a sequel.

just a quick tip for anyone playing this game; id recommend going for the eye poke focus attack over the sweep one, as the eye poke will always stun long enough for you to guarantee your next attack, including your normal sweep, and its a bit more damage for eyepoke, sweep, ground attack. you can also do the push into sweep chase which is even more damage and its good for separating an enemy in a group fight. hope this helps!

9:38 if you use charged backfist with a knife, instant stab will one-shot this enemy and make your life MUCH easier. Get charged backfist from the skill tree after death or at a shrine.
I was expecting you to play this and really thought of you while I played SIFU thinking..."Naaahh ONGBAL would just pass over the enemies like feather. Love the gameplay mechanics on this one not for the faint of heart.
Man, the 1st phase of this boss fight. Personally I look for one of her strings that ends in a low or the string were she starts chasing you while spinning her staff thingy around. But yea, still. Pretty easy to mess up the 1st phase.
I really love this type of play. Not to mention that shortcut is bad. But to kill all the enemies, it gives the satisfying feel. I am mastering this stage with no shortcut playthrough now. But the room with 2 girls and 1 big guy is kinda hard. I need to train more.
if you unlock the ducking strike move (hold square) it gives you a cool flurry of slashes with the knife and a decent head bonk with the bat. can’t recall if the staff does anything 🤔. the knife move is almost as good as the insta kill from a full charged triangle hold. maybe better, since it doesn’t kill the weapon

@@aleksandarjokic5083 I mean if we are talking unsegmented I honestly don’t think he could do that in any reasonable time frame. If you have played this game yourself this game is much much harder than any of the fromsoft games and it’s really really hard to avoid damage consistently due to how out of control some fights are. Trust me when I say it would be stupidly impressive for him to do that and despite him being very good at sekiro nothing he has done would even be close to how hard this would be.

People don’t realise how brutal it would be to not take a single hit, considering how hard it is already to do a no death run by Ongbal of all people. The “rain room” and Kuroki’s first phase alone seemed impossible to not take damage, and this will always be the case.

Doesn‘t the strong sweep itself, do a lot of damage and take the Enemy down. I think the eye poke does less damage than the sweep, even with a combo
