Gave a handsome picture in ''Private Ryan", very authentic acting, convincing. I have wondered what other movies he has been in, if he was as convincing. His lines and 'persona' was all very natural.
As good as Saving Private Ryan was... all the hoopla, positive comments, especially from actual war veterans, just... EVERYTHING about the movie was spectacular. A movie that people will be watching a century fro now. And what does Hollywood do? Give the best movie of the year to Shakespeare In Love. That was like a gigantic slap in the face to all military veterans. I started to watch Shakespeare In Love but I couldn't get beyond 30 minutes. Who, in the name of all that's Holy, awarded SIL as the best movie of the year. I think someone caught someone important abusing himself in the bathroom and filmed it. I will never believe ANYTHING Hollywood ever says again. It's just sickening...
SiL is actually a pretty good movie. SPR doesn’t need a “best picture” award to stand the test of time. It has already won all the acclaim it will ever need to be remembered for generations.
I could not agree more- a piece of garbage winning over a masterpiece is laughable. So apparently Harvey Weinstein was influential in ensuring Shakespeare in Love got the award that night. Now obviously he deserves his punishment for the disgusting things he did... but when I heard of his prison sentence, I could also not help but be reminded of that Academy story and think: "Karma at its finest".

He pretty much played himself. He's like that elsewhere, just a chiiled out guy with a husky voice.
His films are superb. Captures the Irish-American swagger perfectly. He gets to hang with Christy Turlington.
The man with the BAR.

Alamo Alamo!!
He always reminded me of Ben affleck; specially, when he was younger.
I thought he was Affleck until recently.
Yeah when I watched it I thought wow he's a dead ringer for a younger Ben Affleck. Crazy resemblence.
Richard Gere in "Yanks" (1979).
He looks older version of Brad Renfro too
Burns is one hell of actor.
My Favorite characther in the saving private ryan (REİBEN)

Different people have different opinions. "Awards" shows are meaningless..

On being "cast" - it's both present and past tense.
FWIW, _casted_ is non-standard, Old English... and, yes, "cast" is the normal past tense for the verb.
Always got him and Ben Affleck mixed up
FYI, _casted_ is non-standard, Old English... "cast" is the normal past tense for the verb.
OK - Someone confirm for me. This is the voice actor for B&H Photo ads.
Saving Private Ryan should have won best picture
Lava Lamps for life
Initially i thought he is richard gere❤
He was cast not casted. Casted isn't a word.
Thanks - I was just about to make the same comment.
Casted is a word. Maybe not in the way it was used here, but it is an actual word.
FWIW, _casted_ is non-standard, Old English... and, yes, "cast" is the normal past tense for the verb.
He didn't come up with the word Bunker, all of Normandy is full of it!

that is not ben aflek? 😂
Lost to "Shakespeare In Love"? Don't need a better example than that to show how ridiculous the Oscars are.
He's putting his money where his mouth is
“being casted”?? Seriously?!
There are different dialects and different English languages. Nothing weird about how he said it.
'Casted'? WTF?
FWIW, _casted_ is non-standard, Old English... and, yes, "cast" is the normal past tense for the verb.
Casted? What’s that?

Fix your title! Casted? It’s cast, not casted. Ed Burns. Actors actor. And film maker par excellence.

His career went absolutely nowhere. 😂
Good looking guy but not a good actor. I think that's why his career never took off.
Awful actor in that film.
