I'm glad and proud to be the like on this, and to be the first person to comment. As Alissa said and I repeat: SHINEDOWN SAVED MY LIFE!
I am one of the "Day One" fans and have been to many shows through the years. They absolutely bring their A game everytime. Every time I think they couldn't surprise me more, they do! They are very authentic, amazing people, talented beyond belief and love their fans. I have dealt with some major health issues especially the past few years (bad enough that my husband has almost had to plan my funeral more than a few times). There's not been many days since they released Leave A Whisper that I haven't listen to at least one song (usually way more) a day. Their music has kind of been a therapy for my husband and for me. They are so inclusive with everything they do. You will see all races, ages, wealth brackets, abilities, etc at their shows. Our last three concerts that my husband and I went to, I was rocking it out literally while in my wheelchair and hooked up to my treatments through ports during the concerts. Never once have I felt out of place and that even carries down to our fellow fans there. That is literally the culture that these guys have worked to create through the years and it is a beautiful experience. When they say everyone is welcomed, it isn't just lip service. From experience, it's not been like that with many other artists. If you ever have the chance to go to one of their shows, don't hesitate to go! You won't regret it! 😁
Shinedown take real life stories and write about it "...The musician has his soul from song, and the heart of the whole world beats in him...." - What happens to me happens to someone else, and that's very comforting. It gives strength. to my mind - so 🐘how they sav life, and of corse!!! beautifully their songs. all.
