Great car. I have a 308 Allure e-HDI from 2014 and it is such a good all round car. It has enough power for me (115 bhp) and is very quiet. I love the small steering wheel and i-Cockpit which is easy to get used to particularly if you adjust the wheel and seat height and rake properly. While I like the i-Cockpit 2 and 3, I think I like having analogue speedo and rev counter dials. I love the fact that, as a UK resident, I can change the heads up to kmph so if I drive in mainland Europe or Ireland I can check local speed limits. I also like that, in this mode, the speed limiter and cruise control set themselves to kmph or mph depending on the vehicle setting. I am sure other cars do this, but it is great imho. Peugeout make good cars and I would definitely buy one of the new range, particularly the stunningly gorgeous 508. It exudes chic and saviour faire.

Love my 308 sw! My second and i love this thing! Driving it since 2018 it was new then. Very reliable car. I pay around 250-500€ a year for maintenace never had one problem in 70.000 kilometer. Im not the most patient driver, so sometimes im driving like crazy and there was not one insecure moment with this car. First brake change was in december 2022.
I reached 195 km/h downhill with my 308 1.2 110 hp. Officaly the topspeed is 188 km/h, not bad for that 1.2 engine, car fulll packed for holiday in Germany
I red that peugeot 308 has topspeed around 190 but my 308 from 2017 always runs around 210. Downhill the fastest i've been driving was a bit above 250. V-max isn't removed. Edit. I have the 130hp version this is a point. But my registration says 190 topspeed.
Stef Stef I agree with you for my 307 1.6 petrol, but I’ve also got the 308 1.2 130 up. The 307 is far better in design and inside room, the engine and the gearbox are more sporty, therefore it’s better for mountainous roads. 308 1.2 has very nice engine but it’s better on the motorway where the very long ratios and the vast torque gives a better and quieter trip
These cars are doing very well for a litlle engine. I have one bought new a few years a go and still running fine after 70.000 km's
How is it now? Was thinking of buying one but not sure about reliability
@@elijahcarr4137Last Year I didn't drive that car to much. I now have 85000km. I had 2 problems with the engine. 1. engineproblem lamp on the dashboard lighted up, but it leaves the next time I started. 2. the engine did lose torque for a time, the replacement of the sparks fixed the problem. I readed on reviews that the weak point off these engine is it's design of the camshaftbelt. The belt is running in engine-oil it can give problems by swelling up. These engines are also jused in Opel Grandland x (and maybe other cars). To ask about reliability. You better ask someone who has more km's on it's counter.

I like Peugeot and i driving the 308 was absolute fantastic, because it is completely different compared to other cars like the Seat Leon or VW Golf and the 3 cylinder engine is very quick and offers a great sound in my opinion. Is it worth the price? That's a very difficult question. The car you see in the video has the top specification ("Allure with GT-line package). With this specification the car looks absolute great but the price is over 30.000 Euro new.
If you have a chance, could you try the 2012 Renault Megane GT line?
I'm between those two and a tuned '09 Seat Leon FR.
I don't know about the SEat, but I can tell you that Peugeot has a better interior than the Mégane. I'm nit speaking about the design, which is something completely subjective, but the quality. You'll find less shitty plastic it that car than in the Renault. The Renault has 4 wheel steering, but the 308 has an excellent handling, so you won't be disappointed.
My mom has the same 1.2 turbo in her Citroën c4 cactus . And its pretty Fast

Das ist ein Turbo, den fährt man zwischen 2000 und 4000 Umdrehung und nicht wie du bei 6000. Ich habe auch ein pureTech und kann sagen, das beste Auto was ich habe.

130 , is 1.2L 3 cyl 240nm performance correct 0-100 km between 9 -10 s and 204 vmax constructeur , not bad
Actually for that power very poor performance. From such a big downhill and top speed 203km/h on speedometer, that sucks.
I drove Golf 1.0TSI with 20hp less and on the straight line it reached 208km/h (200 GPS). I do not understand where the Peugeot lost his horses.

I pushed mine to 218 km/h ( sw, break version) but I had the sport mod active, and i was in a little down hill.

I have this car, the 1.2 with 130pk for about 3 months now. I like the car it's so nice! But i feel bad about pushing it to 6000 rpm isn't that really bad for the car?
yah make sure fully warmed up first, after 10 mins best, oil is more fluid.

nee, da hast Du Dich nicht verzählt, schau mal auf die Schaltempfehlung im Display, die meckert sich bald tot, dass er mal hochschalten soll. Das hätte ich auch gemacht, die Endgeschwindigkeit schafft er im 6., nicht im 5....
@@UweWagner wenn du das Video weiter als bis zur Hälfte gesehen hättest, dann hättest du gesehen das ich im 2. Teil des Videos im 6. Gang die maximale Geschwindigkeit fahre, die jedoch unverändert zum 5. Gang ist, da der scheinbar elektronisch abgeregelt war, was ich auch in einem anderen Kommentar hier erwähnt hatte. Nicht nur in der 2. Hälfte des Videos sieht man das, sondern auch schon bei 4:20 min. Da bin ich auch schon im 6. Gang

1.2 thp 130 but look for the timing belt cuz it dissolves in the car and I changed mi e at 54000km
I am a hardcore supporter of Peugeot, but there are two things I hate nowadays on them : 1. the rev meter going counterclockwise, 2. the sound of the 3-cylinder engine. Call me a fool, but I will never replace my 307 on account of these reasons.

To be honest I was completely sceptical too, when the first three cylinder engines came on the market and the manufacturers began with the downsizing, but after trying them I really have to say that I prefer them over "normal" 4 cylinder engines. They feel to be quicker and the engine sound has more character.

@@stefstef4895 Maybe it looks strange in the video, but after 10 seconds behind the steering wheel you're used to it and it seems to be normal and another cool thing about it is, when you accelerate in 5th or 6th gear up to top speed it looks very cool when the tachometer and the rev meter are going together.

@Mert şahin 1.2 pure tech stop problem yazın. Türkçe yazın her dilde yazın, çince bile yazsanız dünyanın herbiyerinde bu sorunla karsilasan cikar. Cozum bulabilenini gormedim 1 sene once. Belki simdi sorunu bulmuslardir.

That's good for 130hp. Especially since Peugeot speedometers are very precise, most other cars would display like 210 at this speed.

I have one and use it a lot on Motorways, and I find the ride very nice. The ride in the video is probably misleading as he seems to be wearing a head cam, so the shaking will probably appear more pronounced. I have driven a 230 mile journey on sometimes good and sometimes poor UK motorways, and needed very few stops, as the car handled the differences really nicely. It is a nice car, particularly at speed.
