The mother church of the Archdiocese of St. Louis for Roman Catholics, the seat of the archbishop, and the largest mosaic collection in the Western Hemisphere.
Thanks so much for watching and your comment. I'm so glad you found the video and I could show it to you. Really neat having someone watch from Canada.
Friend of mine from Minnesota just came down here on a whim so was able to hang out with her and show her around (Of course broke her in with Imo's pizza). She had gone to the arch the day before, so I took her around forest park, went through the science center, and my brain thought of the Central West End since we were so close, and a lightbulb went off in my head that she would probably appreciate this place. Last time I had stepped foot inside was for Stan Musial's viewing. Even for the non Catholics and even non religious... the artwork is breathtaking.
That is so cool. Thanks so much for the comment. I really appreciate it. That would be cool seeing someone's reaction to the pizza- it's so unique. You had some good ideas. The Basilica really is a remarkable place. That is really cool that you were able to show her. Thanks again for the story.
You can just go. They're open 7a-5p. They do have mass at 7, 8, and noon, but between 9a-noon is a good time or after the last one. You do not need tickets or reservations. Someone will be there to offer to answer any questions you may have also, but they will not bother you.
The Rome of the West. My new mount of Olive Street. It's actually on Olive street. I'm Linus Aquarianus 11th. I'm taking over for Rome. It's all being brought over to the United States from Italy and England. The lightning has flashed over from East to West. From Italy and Europe over to the United States. I am the Grey and the Green. The GG. This is my mount of Olive on Olive Street. I am taking over the church and other organizations in order to fix the world. St. Louis is my city and new headquarters of the world. I have returned and am here. LLXIIX77
