Really do like the change of pace, to the in your face style of some. Though do like the presentation style where you talk as well, as some pictures may say a thousand words, but every now and again a couple more don't hurt.

Hey Andy, so for my WoodShop class in high school I made a flute and was wondering maybe you could try to make one. Granted I used a lot of power tools and a lathe but I think that you could do it. Instead of hollowing it with a drill maybe you could cut it in half and carve the inside since you don’t usually use big machinery like a lathe. I hope you read this message and try it out. Thanks!
I love watching your videos. Need to reach out to you and the woodwork community. Have a ton of kiln dried Butternut lumber . Has been sitting in a shed for years. Need to sell it for my mother. Dad passed away last September. If your interested let me know. All of it is 6 to 8 ft length 3 inch thick. 4 to 8 inch wide. Hate to see it go to waste. At the most there are 30 boards or more. Please share. Nice wood if you like the old barn finish .
Andy Question: I just got a front vise like the Rockler or Woodriver quick release, no name on it just a Made In Germany stamp and GBE stamp. Anyway not important, My question is what kind of wood do you recommend for the jaws? Hardwood or Softwood?

Ben Baker . Ben. I’d think first. What type of wood working would you like to do. Second, when you decide on that. What type of tools you will need. You interested in building furniture, or maybe carving? There are many types . First off. Find your passion. Then find your tools. What is it that peeks your interest in wood working. At the least, you could start small. Take a pocket knife. Go out in the yard where you live. Find a old branch. Start whittling on it. Meaning, start carving... the idea is to see something in that piece of wood. The most historical painters that have ever lived . Had a vision. Or a idea. And they some how put it on canvas. Same thing with wood...

We wanna see some big, multi-part series on some big elaborate projects man. I’m normally not the guy to say stuff like this but I can tell you can do so much more. I’d personally love to see it. Thanks for the honest feedback and you hit the nail in the head. I do a lot of smaller projects because it just fits better into my system of balancing commissions with RUclips. Ive got some really good commissions coming up, which I plan on filming. One I’m working on now, it’s a three part series on building a 4 drawer dresser...so bigger projects are coming your way. You can get a better idea of my day to day work in the shop by checking out my stories.

Still here from the demoranch vid , but i gotta say the turn on closed caption thing and no talking is a big turn off to your channle. You do great work but thats a mayjor negative for me . Just my .02 i think live talking , or voice over would be far far more enjoyable when i have to look at and read tiny little words it really takes away from the video and being able to watch the work be done

The noise of the wood cutting under the chisel at the beginning is amazingly comforting. I wish I could get my chisels this sharp.
