Hi Mak. Nicely done as always. Do you buy strip quill or make yourself? Have you ever tried veevus body quill as a substitute? It has a nice glow after you apply varnish or uv resin. All the best.
I'm long term camping in southern Utah. Waiting for my tenkara gear to arrive. I'll be fishing small-medium mountain streams 6k-10k feet above sea level. Trout mostly, all seasons possible. Never fly fished before. Can someone suggest a hook size for the flies?
Sorry for late replying, I am glad you are looking forward for new Gear, I know the feeling, I suggest you ask someone Local for an advise for size of Flies, the place you are going to fish, 👍👍👍👍

Have you tried the Magic Quills? If so, is there any advantage to using real quills vs. the artificial?
