I've been following Angelina for almost a year now. This definitely put her in the public eye, but she's been doing vids since she was 6. Her best, among so many jaw dropping, chill producing songs are It's A Man's World and I'd Rather Be Blind. But again, there are so many amazing performances. Along with her ability to make songs her own, which points to her incredible artistic sense, her timing draws you in. She's humble, real and one of the very best singers on the planet. There is such a thing as “making a song your own” then there is taking an iconic rock anthem, stripping it down to its barest essentials, and filling it to overflowing with soul. Angelina took a big risk with this song and it paid off. For any other singer this would been the performance of a lifetime. For Angelina, it was just another Wednesday. I have heard this at least a thousand times, and still every single time I hear it, I am blown away at how beautifully perfect it is. Just like you said, "she is something different". I was watching the show and heard her sing this song, and ive not went one day without watching her on RUclips since. I am 43 years old and she is my first favorite. Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani, a very respected Iranian artist and poet and the person instrumental in introducing Angelina to music and encouraging her incredible talent. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette, her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".¡ My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". Well, it was a seven-year-old child who appeared on the stage. She was small and had wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. My first surprise was how she confidently answered questions put to her by one of the judges. She showed no signs of nerves and when she was asked what song she was going to perform, she declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Then she gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and started singing. Yeah! The body of the 7-year-old child was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-50 year old black woman who had been singing for decades. That first moment of surprise has been experienced many times since then. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on RUclips and in the years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others: in total over 220 different songs and 82 different performers. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Many who sing well, but we can ask them if they can switch credibly between jazz, edm, pop, country, and classical music in no time. you will also notice Angelina always performs barefoot. when she was a very young girl her family was on vacation in another country. they were out walking when they came across a young girl sitting on the sidewalk/side of the road and she did not have on any shoes and it was cold out and she was crying. Angelina went over to the young girl and talked to her. the young girl told her she did not have any shoes and her feet were cold and sore. Angelina without giving it a second thought, took off her shoes and gave them to the little girl and they became friends..... after this, Angelina said as long as there are children in the world who dont have shoes she would always perform barefoot. thats why in every video you see her in she is always barefoot... this all came from a very young girl who was maybe 4, 5 or 6.

I've been following Angelina for almost a year now. This definitely put her in the public eye, but she's been doing vids since she was 6.

There is such a thing as “making a song your own” then there is taking an iconic rock anthem, stripping it down to its barest essentials, and filling it to overflowing with soul. Angelina took a big risk with this song and it paid off. For any other singer this would been the performance of a lifetime. For Angelina, it was just another Wednesday.
The thing that really makes her different is her ability to interpret lyrics and connect listeners to the song in a very emotional way. Did you notice Alicia Dixon about half way through the song? She was very near crying. That’s what Angelina can do.

In the final Angelina sang Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, the lyrics say it all - I never signed up to you - I'm not a present for your friends to open etc. The main reason for entering was to get exposure to the US audience - only the pandemic came along to spoil things, all her concerts cancelled...

Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani, a very respected Iranian artist and poet and the person instrumental in introducing Angelina to music and encouraging her incredible talent. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette, her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".¡
My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". Well, it was a seven-year-old child who appeared on the stage. She was small and had wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. My first surprise was how she confidently answered questions put to her by one of the judges. She showed no signs of nerves and when she was asked what song she was going to perform, she declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Then she gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and started singing. Yeah! The body of the 7-year-old child was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-50 year old black woman who had been singing for decades. That first moment of surprise has been experienced many times since then.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on RUclips and in the years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others: in total over 220 different songs and 82 different performers. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. When you listen to her there is the feeling that you are the object of her attention. She is singing for you alone.
I have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What I will never understand is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to ruclips.net/channel/UChM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with backing music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world.
Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song, it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions

Angelina speaks 3 languages, designs her own clothes and runs an art studio, and has written a best-selling book and like her name she truly is an angel with a heart of gold. Angelina won Norway's got talent when she was 7 years old Her younger years before age 13 she was watched over by her mother and her Uncle who just wanted her to grow up normal. Her mother and uncle Turned down almost 90% of all requests for her to perform but even so from age 7years to 12 years old or so, she has been all over the world (Mother never more than a breath away) Angelina has produced over 130 covers, and she makes all of them her own, all of which will astound you. you will also notice Angelina always performs barefoot. when she was a very young girl her family was on vacation in another country. they were out walking when they came across a young girl sitting on the sidewalk/side of the road and she did not have on any shoes and it was cold out and she was crying. Angelina went over to the young girl and talked to her. the young girl told her she did not have any shoes and her feet were cold and sore. Angelina without giving it a second thought, took off her shoes and gave them to the little girl and they became friends..... after this, Angelina said as long as there are children in the world who dont have shoes she would always perform barefoot. thats why in every video you see her in she is always barefoot... this all came from a very young girl who was maybe 4, 5 or 6.

Angelina always makes it look easy, even with complex songs. She has a range of about 5 octaves, and her low ones are fabulous. She is known as "the girl with a thousand voices," because she can tailor her voice to any song at will. You have not heard of her because her family has limited her engagements to charitable and non-profit performances since she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 (yes 8, not 7). She has covered and written more than 130 songs on RUclips, many of which are just as fine as the performance you just saw. She is comfortable in all genres, although I have yet heard her do rap.
Since this performance, she wrote another song and dedicated it to her late grandfather and all those who have lost loved ones. After hearing it, she was offered to sign with Republic Records, which she did last fall. She has been approached by many labels over the years, including Disney, but always declined so that she could continue school and have a relatively normal childhood. Clyde A couple of corrections: Yellow Brick Road was Angelina's interpretation of Sara Bareilles arrangement..... Her vocal range is 3 octaves, give or take a semi-tone.
