Why else would he have hid it behind the dumpster, opened it, seen that it had a tee and other stuff inside, and steal it. It's clear that there was intent. Either way, it's private property, and just because it's next to a dumpster doesn't mean that it's up for grabs.
I think it’s obvious that it was stolen on purpose. He took the box around the building and to his car, took the jersey and then put the box back in the same spot he found it. He clearly knew it was fan mail. He also should not have done that at Jackie’s workplace if he cared for her.
To the people criticizing Jackie. All we know is that Steve is NOT her husband but rather a boyfriend. They don’t even live together. You need to trust Roman’s judgement here, he knows his employees better than anyone. Let’s not make assumptions and slander someone for something they weren’t apart of.
I grew up around situations like this. We had the partner of a close family friend steal from our property once and this woman was a saint and thought we’d never speak to her again. Dude backed his truck right in and loaded up a lawn mower, scrap metal, and some tools because he knew we were in Florida. We never blamed her. I’m glad Roman is being reasonable here and not blaming Jackie or holding it against her character.
I think you should implement a rule about anyone who is “lingering” in the shop. Not the ones who come in and buy something and get a signature or pic and leave but the ones who are “hanging out”. I’m so glad Jackie was able to get the Jersey back. I feel HORRIBLE for Jackie she seemed rather smitten over Steve. This is truly one of my all time favorite videos. I know you don't like conflict, so it's especially impressive how tactfully you handled the situation. It takes a real maturity and fortitude of character to be firm, and assert that you and your family/friends/business will not be taken advantage of, without uttering a single unkind word. I've had a very relatable experience. Just over a week ago, I've had a best/only friend for 5+ years. We literally played games together everyday and talked everyday for years.. we got to know each other very well. But completely by surprise, randomly out of nowhere. He scams me for some real life money. Then he completely blocks me off all social media and games etc.. After 5 years, playing together, talking everyday. Completely shocked, caught massively by surprise. Still can't believe it. Or understand why. So this is very relatable. And extremely true in my own personal experience

I think it’s obvious that it was stolen on purpose. He took the box around the building and to his car, took the jersey and then put the box back in the same spot he found it. He clearly knew it was fan mail. He also should not have done that at Jackie’s workplace if he cared for her.

To the people criticizing Jackie. All we know is that Steve is NOT her husband but rather a boyfriend. They don’t even live together. I grew up around situations like this. We had the partner of a close family friend steal from our property once and this woman was a saint and thought we’d never speak to her again. Dude backed his truck right in and loaded up a lawn mower, scrap metal, and some tools because he knew we were in Florida. We never blamed her. I’m glad Roman is being reasonable here and not blaming Jackie or holding it against her character.
I think you should implement a rule about anyone who is “lingering” in the shop. Not the ones who come in and buy something and get a signature or pic and leave but the ones who are “hanging out”.
