David Coverdale (lead vocals) is one of those voices in rock who is instantly recognizable... Coverdale replaced singer Ian Gillan in Deep Purple in 1974 - no easy task... and kept the band's popularity... but after Purple split in 1976, Coverdale went solo. He formed Whitesnake in the late 70's and became the most successful ex-member of Deep Purple. In 1993, he recorded the successful Coverdale.Page album w/ Led Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page... Recently, David Coverdale announced plans to retire (he'll be 71 this year) after a final tour w/ Whitesnake.
Seen them 5 times... David Coverdale singer Doug Aldrich guitar Reb Beach guitar solo Marco Mendoza bass Tommy Aldridge drums Check out the song Bad Boys from this same concert...banger
Man, Whitesnake was so good and so under rated. They are known for a couple of songs but they have such a great catalogue of songs. Thank you for reacting and putting a great song out for the world to hear. 🔥🤘
"Underrated" is not the word I would use. They're one of the most successful bands in the history of hard rock - the "1987" album alone has sold over 8 million copies in the US alone, and probably twice that amount globally. Their success has been pretty consistent in the rest of the world too, a success that continues to this day, only the US has comparatively lost sight of the band during the interim years.
Wife here...Saw these guys a couple years ago...They were AWESOME..I was singing every word of THIS song..The people around myself and my Husband were laughing ( in a good way)..and clapping for me..Ms. Asia the band is very cohesive..Musically sound.., I believe this separated them from some of the other "glam rock bands".."I would of loved to be a member of Whitesnake.."..Go ahead BJ!!
Check out the studio version too. First time I heard it I knew they were the real deal just by hearing this one song. It's always been one of my favorites from them. Then before this they had a helluva album too called Slide It In. It's all good.
I will always remember a concert in Warsaw, Poland. We made David cry (well, almost) - a third of the audience, guys closest to the stage knew and sang all the lyrics to all the songs the band played. He was visibly touched.
I was so lucky to have seen Dokken, Whitesnake and Scorpions In Grand Rapids Michigan together back in the day!!! And the ticket was only $35 for all 3!!! Those were the good ole days!
I wish you guys could exp experience a metal concert like that but they've all grown old and I don't know who's out there playing and sounding good anymore. I seen these guys in concert when they first came out and it was banging 1987!!!!
David Coverdale might be in his 70's, but he looks and sounds amazing! Whitesnake could rock the house for sure. Check out "Here I go Again" and "Is this Love"
For his age, David Coverdale is sounding pretty good. But do listen to the studio versions too to get a feel for the power of his voice in his prime. He's one of the best. ❤
Saw whitesnake in the early 90’s during their heyday. Told my 16 year old son yesterday that that was the greatest show I ever saw. Thanks for reviewing this classic!
Great, great song from their 1987 album that still rocks today! I know you were impressed by the guitar player Reb Beach. But let's give some props to the drummer, Tommy Aldridge! He's just a thunderous octopus on those drums! He started playing with WS on the 1987 album tour and then was on the next album, Slip Of The Tongue and that tour. When Coverdale got WS back together in the 2000's for touring, Tommy came back and didn't miss a beat! And yes, Coverdale is known for that mic stand move. He's been doing that since the 1970's when he was in Deep Purple. He even has his mic stands custom made so he can do it (from what I remember reading).
You need to watch the video. During the guitar solo, he's using a cello bow on his guitar! Its such an amazing sound! I grew up in the 80's and loved heavy metal, still do at 56. This is my favorite song of theirs. 😁
This is the last concert I went before Covid. The blonde bass player on the right is from the city I live in. Pretty good concert but after Covid, David kind struggles with vocals now. Band was great but the audience was weird. Like the bikers with tattoos and Mohawks were really cool but this guy in front of us, who looked like a nerd accountant, was so drunk he kept exposing himself. We had to move our seats. Weirdo. LOL
One of the songs the Whitesnake Choir can shine while singing with the band. The band starts its last US tour in two weeks (supporting the Scorpions), so if you want to see them....
One of my favorite songs. Such a dynamic forceful band. ~I Shiver and I shake When I hear you baby talk~ I could see BJ in this Whitesnake band...just get him some new python🪱 boots👢 and hand him the mic🤘
am not totally sure, is it ended all ready, but bit earlier this year they visited my country, as of part of theyr FARAWELL tour.....so if they came close to u 2, or anyone else, go SEE them and show support 😎🎼🎸
Absolutely love Whitesnake. Back in the day, Coverdale was as sexy as anything. His voice has suffered a bit, but really not bad for his age. Unfortunately, he now looks like the soccer mom the other soccer moms don't talk to.
Both these guitar players were heavily influenced by none other then.....Eddie Van Halen. Pretty much all the musicians from the 80s started making bands using Van Halen as a Model. Still thou im a big Whitesnake fan cuz they make grest music
It would have been better with the original video than this version with the bad sound. The song is very good but because of the bad sound and maybe an older David it is a bad version of the song.

He joned Deep Purple in 1973, and formed Whitesnake in 1978. Apart from that - spot on.
@@erikthompson619 1978 is "late 70's" ... Coverdale's first Purple album was released in 1974 😁
Apparently he wanted to retire two years earlier , so he’d have been 69 😂
Seen them 5 times...

My favorite concert EVER!🌟⭐️✨🔥
WOW!!! Have not heard this song in decades! What a rocking song...especially live.

The first tour White Snake / Aerosmith was on fucking 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Great days indeed!
David Coverdale might be in his 70's, but he looks and sounds amazing! Whitesnake could rock the house for sure. Check out "Here I go Again" and "Is this Love"

David Coverdale lives in my town. I’ve never seen him in concert though. His wife told me he doesn’t want to play where he lives which I get.
Saw whitesnake in the early 90’s during their heyday. Told my 16 year old son yesterday that that was the greatest show I ever saw. Thanks for reviewing this classic!
I watched that concert and they blew the roof off that piece!!
Seen them as young cats in the 80s, awesome concert yay, good review by u guys 🤘😆🤘
Love the new NEON!!!! Looks great!! David Coverdale has always been a perfectionist...and it shows!!!

LOL!
Me too!!
I was at this gig, London 2004 Hammersmith apollo....Amazing gig.
One of the songs the Whitesnake Choir can shine while singing with the band. The band starts its last US tour in two weeks (supporting the Scorpions), so if you want to see them....
Cards traded Harrison Bader to Yankees today. Love your show, I check it out daily! Seen Whitesnake several times here in the Lou!
That's David Coverdale, he sang on 1 of Deep Purple's album, 'Burn'.
Also "come taste the band" if I'm not mistaken .
@@rdhudon7469yeah that was the one that finished them until Blackmore , Gillan Goover Paice and Lord got back together for perfect strangers
Brilliant song 👌
One of my favorite songs. Such a dynamic forceful band.
~I Shiver and I shake
When I hear you baby talk~
I could see BJ in this Whitesnake band...just get him some new python🪱 boots👢 and hand him the mic🤘
Tommy Aldridge on drums…..love that guy….since Black Oak Arkansas…❤️🎼❤️
David Coverdale Still can rock at 70... he has lost some of his singing abilitity from the 80s but still can bring it..
Love love love it !!
I would like to point out that David Coverdale (the singer) is the first white guy to name a band after his wedding tackle . 😆
David Coverdale lead singer, Reb Beach on lead guitar
That ‘87 album is so badasssssss 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
1 of the best live bands ever.
This song is awesome and the live is fantastic 🤘👍👏
The studio guitar solo is epic
That was an awesome concert on video I seen 🎥
David Coverdale refers to his fans as the “whitesnake choir “ for a reason
Tommy Aldridge on drums. 1 of the GOATS.
Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach playing scorching guitar solos.
Awesome concert on video I seen this one 🎥
Check out crying in the rain. Whitesnake. Awesome drum solo (watch)
"SPIT IT OUT" by them next please. thanks you 2. love, peace and chicken grease ✌👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
am not totally sure, is it ended all ready, but bit earlier this year they visited my country, as of part of theyr FARAWELL tour.....so if they came close to u 2, or anyone else, go SEE them and show support 😎🎼🎸
This is a banger. Rocking out.
Absolutely love Whitesnake. Back in the day, Coverdale was as sexy as anything. His voice has suffered a bit, but really not bad for his age. Unfortunately, he now looks like the soccer mom the other soccer moms don't talk to.
I’m telling ya
Slow & Easy that’s the tune that’ll get in your bones
I believe you guys also reacted to Deep Purple's burn this is the same vocalist you heard the bluesy vocals from.
whitesnake is my favourite band i'm really sad i never could have seen then live
May I suggest Whitesnake song Slide it in! KEEP ON ROCKIN!
You want to hear some blues from White Snake, listen to (House of broken Love) ! You will love this song.
House Of Broken Love is a fantastic song.. but it's not a song by White snake. It's a song by Jack Russell and Great White.
Nice when you can get the audience to do your song FOR you, LOL. David's face is really starting to show his years of partying.
Any song from this concert is reviewable.
David Coverdale señoras y señores.
You guys have to do Whitesnake's Crying in the Rain. Won't disappoint!
Love your nails Asia!!
Both these guitar players were heavily influenced by none other then.....Eddie Van Halen. Pretty much all the musicians from the 80s started making bands using Van Halen as a Model. Still thou im a big Whitesnake fan cuz they make grest music
When David married Tawny. Then she cheated on him with OJ. He said rule 1. Never marry an American actress. Lmao
😍🎸🥁👍
The official video and studio version are better. But, thanks for reacting to this song. Checkout Fool For Your Lovin'
🔥🔥🔥🤘😎🥰 SMEXY!!!! 😉😉
Please get to some Dokken soon. Maybe "Into the fire" to start.
BJ ? Looks like you are going to have a good night. Be gentle Asia LOL
Nobody related to DP except Coverdale?
React to still of the night and slide it in ....2 rockin songs
Do steelheart band , he sings with bubble gum in his mouth. That’s hard
You can tell a singer's voice is gone when they need the audience to sing so much.
Lol that's part of the show it gets the crowd going lol Have u ever been to a rock concert. He's voice is as strong as ever
Loved Deep Purple, too. But all the Coverdale live stuff......meh. On the other hand, Hughes was a beast!!
Not bad for a 68-70 yr old
♥️.♥️
Wheatsnack.
It would have been better with the original video than this version with the bad sound. The song is very good but because of the bad sound and maybe an older David it is a bad version of the song.
Worst version ever. Why do people play non OFFICIAL VIDEOS
The wonderful 80s
